Welcome to our peaceful space, a cozy home retreat designed just for families and small groups! Start your day with a coffee on the porch, listening to the gentle sounds of nature. Explore the beautiful river and nearby Sweet Arrow Lake, perfect for fishing or hiking just minutes away. At sunset, unwind by the fire or enjoy a delicious charcoal BBQ under the painted sky. The space Please read carefully before booking: Patties and/or visitors are not allowed. The entire property has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. You will have access to all of them. This home accommodates up to a maximum of 10 guests. Everything is thoughtfully designed for comfort. The home is ideal for families who value a minimalist getaway and an authentic living experience. Bedroom #1 - Master bedroom: Located upstairs on the right side. It features 2 queen-size beds and a full bathroom (sink, toilet, bathtub, and standing shower). Maximum 4 guests (2 per bed). Bedroom #2: Located upstairs on the left side. It features a twin-size bunk bed and a double bed, plus a bathroom (sink and toilet). Maximum 4 guests (1 guest per bunk bed and 2 guests on the full-size bed). Bedroom #3: Located downstairs near the entrance. It features a double bed and accommodates a maximum of 2 guests. This bedroom does not have a bathroom. The nearest bathroom is outside the bedroom, next to the kitchen. Bedroom #4: A separate studio unit next to the main house with its own private entrance. It features a double bed, smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and dinnerware), along with a private bathroom (sink, toilet, and standing shower). Only 1 guest can fit in the bathroom at a time. Maximum 2 guests. The studio has low ceilings, including the bathroom, so please consider this if anyone in your party is over 6 feet tall. All bathrooms have hot water in the shower, but the sinks only supply cold water. A/C is available in warmer months (mid-March to mid-October) and not available in winter. Heating is available in winter (extra portable heater available upon request). Iron and ironing board included. Four parking spaces are available on the driveway. There is a back patio and a backyard with plenty of furniture, as well as a charcoal BBQ grill. Please make sure to bring your own charcoal. There is a fire pit, and firewood is provided. There is a small creek that is not suitable for swimming. WiFi is available, but the signal is very limited and unreliable due to the location. Unfortunately, it cannot be consistently guaranteed, which is why we do not list it as an amenity. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire home and backyard, porch, kitchen, dining areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, patio, hammock, charcoal BBQ grill, spacious backyard, and fire pit. Other things to note You will be approx. 40 minutes from Hershey attractions, 30 minutes to Hollywood Casino, 20 minutes of Rausch Creek Off Road Park, 35 minutes to Christmas Village, 10 minutes to Yuengling Brewery (America's oldest brewery) and Cabelas. The lake offers boat access areas, playground, picnic pavilions, walking trails and fishing. Additionally, you are 35 minutes from Blue Marsh Lake Visitor's Center.

Keep it simple at this peaceful, recently renovated home in rural Orwigsburg, PA! Hotels are very limited, so come join us if you’re visiting family, Hawk Mountain, or the Yuengling brewery. Or if you’re hosting family/friends for the weekend/holidays, you can avoid playing inn keeper by renting this clean and quaint home! And don’t worry if you forgot your favorite snack or your toothbrush, as the Boyer’s grocery store is right across the street. The space The house is a stand alone home, completely renovated in 2022. A family room, kitchen and a half bath are downstairs. The 3 bedrooms are on the second floor, along with a full bath. Guest access Guests will have access to the first and second floors. There is an attic and a basement, but they will be locked, as the spaces have low ceilings and are best for storage only. Other things to note The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, drinking glasses, etc.. There is a Keurig and coffee cups. There is a grocery store right across the street for any additional needs. Bottled water will be provided in the fridge for guests. Upstairs, there are extra blankets and towels. General toiletries are supplied — shampoo, body wash, hand soap and toothpaste. There is a hair dryer as well. The bed sizes are 1 queen and 2 doubles.

Holiday and Weekend Family Stay

Your stay features a four bedroom 1800s farmhouse that sits back off of a quiet country road with a view. Meet Mimm's Wishing Well rescue cats; go for a walk with our silly goats, Hilly and Billy at the barn. Hug a Valais Blacknose sheep, pet a pet chicken, find an egg. Relax. The space The front porch has a view of the country side, our trees in the fields. It's also a fun place for sipping drinks, book reading, bird watching, falling asleep or watching your children play in the front yard. What to do, what to do. We have a pond across the street, an inground pool behind the house. There is a barn with stalls full of animals. Lots of green grass, fields with growing Christmas trees. Hiking trails and a bonfire pit with Adirondack style chairs. Sometimes, (the owner) Farmer Jeff, will stop by Mimms in one of his antique tractor's and take your children for rides. In the house there is a Computer/Craft Room look for books, games and puzzles. Also downstairs, the house has a Powder Room and a Living Room with a large flat screen TV, leather sofa, two chairs and two ottomans. Guest access Your entrance is the first door on the front porch. Make sure you have read our check in guide, so that you know the key pad code to get in. Other things to note The farmhouse has two distinct, private, living spaces. We currently have a family from Mexico on the property to feed the animals now through December.

The Appalachian Trail is also nearby, offering excellent hiking opportunities and breathtaking views of pristine Pennsylvania countryside. Short Term Rental Occupancy Permit issued by East Brunswick Township. The space Hidden River Lodge is tucked between Hawk Mountain and the Little Schuylkill River. The property is serene and private, surrounded by woods on all sides. The spacious living room and dining room have vaulted ceilings and opens to the kitchen. The large dining room table easily seats up to 10 people. Sliding doors off of the living room open to a deck with a grill and spectacular forest and river views. The master bedroom is off of the kitchen. It offers a queen bed and has a private bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The bunk room down the hall from the living room has four twin beds and one full bed. It’s the perfect space for kids with toys, games, and books. A full bathroom is next to the bunk room. The “stone room” is through French doors off of the living room. It has vaulted ceilings and has a large, plush sectional that has a pull-out bed as a sleeping option. The room also has a television and is a great space for watching a movie or spending time with family and friends. Downstairs, a third living area doubles as a game room. Doors open onto a patio with access to the front yard. A short walk brings you down to the river’s edge for fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Off of the downstairs living room is a third bedroom. This cozy room has a full bathroom, queen-sized bed, and a workspace. The walk-in closet is large enough for a pack-n-play. The laundry room is also downstairs, which you are welcome to use. Hawk Mountain, a bird sanctuary, is located directly behind Hidden River Lodge. Hawk Mountain offers a variety of very well maintained hiking trails and is a popular location for bird watchers. Other hiking trails in the area are accessible via the main road, including the famous Appalachian Trail. You can find trail maps online. The house is equipped with WiFi. However, due to the remoteness of the location, it is somewhat limited. Please be advised if considering business and/or streaming use. Hidden River Lodge is a quiet and peaceful retreat, it's the perfect getaway! Guest access The entire house is accessible to guests except for the owner’s closet in the master bedroom. A large armoire and chest are provided instead for guests’ belongings. Guests are welcome to use the carport attached to the garage, but the garage (except the extra refrigerator) is primarily for owner use only. There is a wood-burning fireplace and a wood stove, both on the main floor. You are welcome to use either of these after reading the printed instructions. Please do not attempt to use the coal stove in the basement! Private access to the Little Schuylkill River is available via wrought iron steps next to the gravel lane. You are welcome to fish, swim, and kayak to your heart’s content! Kayaks and other boating accessories are not supplied. There are two fire pits available for your use. One is next to the house in the brick courtyard, and one is in the front yard with a view of the river. Please responsibly tend to your fires and put them out by 10:00 pm (per township ordinance). The grill is available for guests. Please clean it after each use.

Recently renovated with all of the modern amenities, you'll love the 1900s charm of this home with its fireplaces, transom windows, and exposed brick. A 5 minute walk will take you to the Yuengling Brewery Tour and downtown area, which includes a coffee shop, bakeries, museums, shopping, and several restaurants. A short drive to Vraj Temple, hiking, wineries, and golf courses. The space This 135 year old home has some beautiful features. Our favorites are the high ceilings, transom windows in each of the bedrooms, the beautiful walnut banister on the main staircase, a second staircase from the kitchen to the second floor, marble fireplace mantels, and exposed brick. Guest access There is a parking garage directly across the street that is free after 5pm and on the weekends. During the week, parking costs approximately $1/hour or $8/day. Use the ParkMobile app to pay for parking. There is also a cobblestone paver parking spot directly behind the house that is most suitable for SUVs. Cars with low ground clearance are not suitable to park here.

The space On the first floor you'll spend time in our furnished living room, dining area, and kitchen. Original hardwood floors run throughout this updated and clean space. With plenty of seating in the living room, the space is great for conversation, relaxing, or watching the big game on the 65" TV. The large dining table, which seats 8 comfortably, is perfect for big meals and gatherings! Our kitchen, which includes granite countertops and brand new appliances, is fully stocked with dinnerware, pots and pans, and all cooking essentials. The space This is a Studio apartment with full amenities included. Full shower and relaxing bath. Kitchen has all cooking and eating essentials. Coffee maker and K Cups are here bring your favorite creamer, coffee maker can make Lattes as well. Refrigerator/freezer. Guest access All access to the apartment/studio, private entrance. There is also a private parking lot in the rear and rear steps to the studio. Other things to note Pets are on a case by case basis and all dogs will not be allowed to be in the studio alone for more than an hour if they are barkers.

The space This is a 3 story building with my office on the first floor, a one bedroom suite on the 2nd floor, and a 1 bedroom suite on the 3rd floor. The bathroom for the 3rd floor suite is located directly at the bottom of the steps on the 2nd floor. Other things to note My office is on the first floor of the building and we are open 9-5 Monday through Friday.

Glamorous Funky 1830’s Mansion in the heart of Pottsville Lovingly rehabilitated by a pair of flea market addicted artists The Generals Quarters is part of the John Pinkerton House. Perfect for those who love the romance of old homes and are not looking for a 5 star hotel or HGTV experience. For all the vintage we do have the amenities of Wi-Fi, a full vintage bath, 1930’s vibe kitchen and best of all a central location-one block from Yuengling and a short walk to all the downtown has to offer! The space Our historic home has been lovingly restored to a comfortable quirky environment. Built in 1836 for a gentleman from Louisiana one can feel the southern vibe from the colossal pillars to the gracious spaces inside. One block up from Yuengling and 2 blocks from the new Black Rock Brewing it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the day taking in the Breweries tours and sampling without having to drive home. Also a beautiful place to stay for wedding parties and history buffs. Because it’s historic we do not recommend for those who cannot do stairs-Pottsville and this house are full of them! Also not suited for children. Guest access You have access to the whole house with the exception of the basement and back porch which is being rebuilt. Other things to note There are steps- lots of them! Be prepared for lots of steps and hills! Not for those who can’t do steps. Also due to the historic nature of the house no pets or and other guests have found it not conducive to children . Parking is free on the street from 6th st up - there is a parking garage on 3rd and Mahantongo if the street is full

Part of an 1830’s trio of Greek Revival Mansions, the John Pinkerton House is our family’s eclectic antique filled labor of love! This house is not for those looking for a 5 star hotel or HGTV experience. This is for lovers of old houses. She’s 202 years old. We’d love to share it with you and make your visit to Pottsville a historic one. Located one block away from Yuengling Brewery and a short walk from all our downtown has to offer. The space Greek columns, soaring ceilings, hand painted murals of the Henry Clay monument and Tumbling run adore the foyer and master bedroom! A large front porch to watch the sunset, lush backyard garden and screened in back porch await! Guest access You will have access to the whole house with the exception of the basement. Other things to note There are stairs-stairs to get from the street level to the house level-those are shared and are located in front of 605 Mahantongo. Then there are stairs up into the house then there are stairs to the second floor-not skimping on stairs here! Due to the historic nature of the house, pets are not allowed and other guests have found it is probably not a good fit for those with children.

Although rural, it is close to grocery shopping and restaurants. Enjoy pure comfort in our solar and geothermal heated and cooled modern house. There is possible additional sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room. The space We are 7 miles from Hawk Mountain, 3.5 miles from downtown Hamburg, PA, with its antique and art galleries, and 22 miles from Reading, West Reading and Wyomissing, PA. The house is surrounded by mountains, yet close to shopping and dining. Breakfast: cereal, milk and coffee provided. [note: for week or longer stays we provide cereal, snacks and milk to get you started, but after that you are on your own for food.] Level 1 electric car charging is possible. message me! Guest access You have your own living room, with TV, internet, fridge, microwave, blender, George Foreman, toaster, hot plate, dishes, pots and pans and Keurig, bedroom with comfortable queen sized bed, and bathroom with shower/tub. Access is a private entrance, but you must walk through our office/ studio into your own space. Sorry about that! Other things to note There are some shallow steps leading down to the walk-in basement studio and suite, with a hand railing. The outside flood lights are on a timer to go off at 11:30 pm. If you are arriving after that, you'll need a flashlight to follow the walkway back around the house. We clean and sanitize between each guest, and leave a day between guest stays. We have an air purifier which cleans the air of dust, pollen and the coronavirus. The space is most comfortable for 2 people, but a third is possible.
