Our home is a 1700 sq. ft. ranch style house on a quiet cul-de-sac north of Route 6. The space When you walk in the front or side door you will enter the open-floor-plan kitchen, living and dining area. The cozy dining nook seats at least six. The kitchen has quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, as well as an island that seats three. The living room has a wood burning fireplace, sectional couch and a Sonos speaker. We have a three season room off the back of the house that opens up to the main living area via french doors. Down the hall you will find three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Heading to the basement there is another living space with a TV, leather couch, game cabinet and mini fridge. There is NO bathroom in the basement. We have a desk, chair and a printer in the common space in the basement. High speed internet is available, and our three TV's have YouTubeTV, Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ (living room, master bedroom and basement). Outside you will find a grill on a small deck off the side of the house and a stone patio in the back that has an outdoor dining table, fire pit with Adirondack chairs and an outdoor shower. There is one main living area that's spacious and comfy. It's open to the fully equipped kitchen. The dining table has seating for 6. And we keep a stocked game cabinet, dvds, books and Smart TV ready to access your streaming service accounts - great for snuggling in on rainy days. Accessibility: There are 3 steps leading into the front door of the cottage and to get down to the patio area. Guests may use the beach caddy to haul beach gear. It's very walkable, about 10 minutes. There is no parking for this beach access. The beach can get very small with high tides and conversely can be quite expansive when the tide goes out as we are on the Bay side. Keep an eye on the tide charts so that you can plan your day on the beach when there's plenty of room to spread out. If you choose to drive to a public beach, Mayflower is about 1.6 miles away and about the same distance to Bayview and about 1 mile to Corporation beach. Chapin beach is a little further 2.4 miles. These beautiful and popular bay side beaches fill quickly and beachgoers are frequently turned away early in the day. Plan accordingly. Pack your lunch and the car the night before. Please do not park cars in front of condo-this area is designated as a fire lane by the town. For renters with Electric Vehicles, we have an outdoor, weatherproof, dedicated 240-volt outlet that you are welcome to use with your charger. We hope you enjoy our whimsical aesthetic and vintage touches. Our wish is to someday reside in the property year-round, but until then we love to share it with others. The space The front door opens to a living room featuring a pull-out sofa, a large LED tv with several streaming services you are welcome to use on the guest account, a Super Nintendo with 20 classic games, as well as numerous books and board games for you to enjoy both indoors and outdoors. (The wireless router is also in this room: wi-fi is complementary.) The large eat-in kitchen & dining area features a full-sized refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, coffee and espresso machines, as well as many basic necessities for cooking and enjoying your meals during your stay. Just down the hall are the laundry with washer & dryer, the bathroom and three bedrooms. The bathroom features a custom vanity & sink, a water-efficient toilet and bathtub/shower. One bedroom features a pair of bunkbeds, while the other two have comfortable full and queen sized beds. The larger bedrooms have their own closets to store your belongings, as well as a dresser in the master bedroom. Attached to our dining area is an idyllic three-season sunroom, perfect for enjoying your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening, as you look out on our gardens. Please feel free to enjoy our lawn games outside, especially in our large back yard. By the way, local pollinators LOVE our UGLY LAWN, and we hope you will, too! The gardens and lawn are all conscientiously planted to support our buzzing little friends. We never use GMO seeds, poisons or artificial fertilizers, and we keep the lawn multi-species and a little longer to retain moisture and encourage healthy wildlife. (No one has ever been stung, but the bumble bees LOVE the clover blossoms, so watch your step!) Be sure to take a big sniff of the fresh lavender that blooms in mid-Summer and help yourselves to any of the wild, organic herbs from the small plot next to the chimney! A few of the locals sharing our property include: a red tail hawk, a red fox, a great horned owl, and a rather cheeky family of chipmunks under the sunroom. You may even spot the flock of wild turkeys that patrols the neighborhood! They should be appreciated from a distance, though; they can get a bit testy. But, feel free to dance with the monarch butterflies that stop by on their migrations, or frolic with the family of bunnies who live under the shed in the back yard.
