Our place is nestled in a quiet, safe neighborhood that is just a mile from the River North district where you can find amazing restaurants, stunning street art, lively breweries, bustling street fairs, retail, and much more. The suite is in a beautiful and recently remodeled 115-year-old Victorian home with fun and tasteful decor. This is a completely private space with no shared areas. The entire basement suite is exclusively yours, including the main bedroom with a common area, a second bedroom, a bathroom, and a common area with a breakfast nook and hotel-style kitchenette. It is easily accessible with a Smart Lock so no worries with late check-in or coordinating schedules to get the key from us. The space is very bright with large windows for natural light during the day and great recessed lighting for the evenings. Both bedrooms egress windows with escape ladders for safety and blackout curtains/shades if you’d like to sleep in. We also have central heat and AC to stay comfortable year-round. The lounge area in the main bedroom features a 50” Roku Smart TV with access to Netflix, Hulu, and many other services. It also has a sectional couch that can pull out into a queen bed for additional sleeping space. The bright common area features a small kitchenette to make coffee or heat up food (no stove, oven, or sink) as well as a cute breakfast nook that works great for enjoying your breakfast, a coffee, or working remotely. **There is no oven and no stove top. We do not offer refunds for not reading this description. ** ***Please note that there are a couple of sections of the ceiling in both bedrooms that are only ~70” tall. The rest of the ceiling in the suite is ~83". If you are really tall, this might not be the place for you.*** Guest access There is typically plenty of street parking on our block, which is all free to use. You will have your own entrance through a door in the side yard, which has a smart lock so you can enter at your convenience anytime after check-in at 3 PM. We will send you the key code to enter before your stay. Other things to note Beds: The king bed in the main bedroom is a platform bed that’s pretty low to the ground. If you have trouble getting up/down from low areas, then our queen bed in the second bedroom is higher and would be a better fit. The space The house is located just 7-8 minutes from downtown Denver with a driveway in front and plenty of street parking. There is a bus stop down the block and a coffee shop within walking distance. This home is best for one or two couples, a few friends, single travelers or professionals, or a small family with an older child who can be trusted with small, fragile objects. While children are welcome to visit, the space is definitely not child-proofed and would probably be a headache for parents to manage! No pets allowed, please. There are two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, dedicated home office space, foyer, and some large closets... one of which has been transformed into an artsy/spiritual nook. When the owner is in Denver, the house is owner-occupied. Therefore, this house is not an empty rental. Each bedroom has dedicated closet and drawer space available to guests, but the owners personal items are also in the house, including family photos on the fridge, winter coats in the closet, etc. If you're looking for a more sparse experience, I recommend a hotel! The closet has open shelving and a space to hang clothes. The home office space also features a record player and extensive vinyl collection, and a wall of books for browsing. The combo living and dining room has a pull-out sofa that can accommodate two extra people in a pinch, but fair warning -- you’ll be up with the sun, and it's not as comfortable as a night's sleep in the beds! :) As you approach the house from the street, you'll walk up a winding path past a red gondola rescued from a closed amusement park. Sculpture art adorns the garden, including a beautiful five-and-a-half foot wind chime that hangs from the giant Ponderosa pine tree. The chimes come with a mallet, so feel free to bang away! Depending on the season, the yard dazzles with poppies, yarrow, wildflowers, rocks and minerals, sometimes vegetables, and a hammock for snoozing. The detached garage on the property is used as an art studio and for extra storage space. Everyone on the block is friendly: the community is warm, inviting, and generous. People spend a lot of time outdoors in our neighborhood, and typically people greet each other and can be found chatting over fences and to people who walk by. All in all, you can expect a funky, fun, and relaxing retreat here. Finally, even though Denver is 420-friendly I ask that *all* smoking take place OUTSIDE only. There is no smoking of any kind allowed in the house. The owner does not drink alcohol or use any drugs, so if your primary purpose in visiting Denver is to party, this might not be the house for you. Thank you for your understanding! Wireless internet and Netflix are included. There is no cable TV, but there is Apple TV so you can log into your own accounts if you want to watch something other than Netflix. Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base. This is my regular home, so please be respectful. No parties and no smoking inside. Well behaved dogs are ok, just not in the basement. The space There are two bedrooms, one master bedroom and one guest bedroom / office. There is also a finished basement that currently serves as a den, but can also accommodate additional guests that are comfortable sleeping on an air mattress or the sofa. If you notify me ahead of time that you will need to use the air mattress, I will make it up for you, but otherwise the guest will need to do so. The air mattress and accompanying bedding are located on top of the chest next to the basement refrigerator. The backyard is surrounded by a privacy fence (the lawn is a little sparse due to my dogs). Please do recognize that, in case of pet allergies, dogs do live here when not occupied by Airbnb guests. Guests are free to safely use the grill. The peloton bike is also free to use, but it requires clip-in shoes. While guests are free to put there belongings in any space that is open, much of the storage space (e.g., closets and dressers) are mostly filled with my belongs. This charming townhome located in the Swallow Hill Historic District within Uptown is highly walkable, warm, inviting and cozy with all the amenities you need for comfort. It is situated just 10 minutes walk from the center of downtown and 1 block from the neighborhood's main business district (17th Avenue). There, you'll find plentiful cocktail bars, wine bars, breweries, restaurants and stores within a 5-10 minute walk. Gilded Age mansions pepper the neighborhood and are sure to captivate. The space The living space is a well-kept historic home dating to 1901. It is fully-furnished and has lovely touches such as the original fireplace and built-in hutch. The primary bedroom has a king bed and comes with a view of Denver's most iconic building (The Well's Fargo "Cash Register Building"). All rooms have natural light pouring in throughout the day and wood floors are present throughout the home. Since this is my primary home, the kitchen is complete with everything you need to cook up a storm (ie. pots/pans, spices, oils, etc.). There are two bathrooms, one featuring a clawfoot tub where you can relax or soak your feet after a long day of walking. The house also has a small office where you can tap into some work, if needed. Guest access You have full access to the home. I ask that, if you use the washer/dryer in the basement, that you don't enter other sections of the basement. This is our storage area (first door to the right at bottom of basement stairs) and we'd prefer if people stayed out of that room. Take the train to and from the airport with ease, with Union station just a 3 minute walk from the apartment and the 26th street mall down the street. With scooters and e-bikes out your door, or Uber and Lyft riders always available, this is a great launching point for your Denver visit, including a quick 20 minute Uber ride to Red Rocks. The building complex is called "Sentral" and has three towers. This apartment is in the Wewatta tower. The guest entrance is near the corner of Wewatta and 18th, at 1777 Wewatta Street, where the reception staff will greet you. There are many other non-staffed entrance doors as well for easy access.
