Log cabin home built in 2004 just south of downtown Breckenridge in a quiet forested neighborhood in Blue River. 7 minutes to downtown Breck and its world-class skiing; even less to free day-parking at the ice arena and shuttles to the bases or gondola. The space Cozy and charming in every way, but with modern updates and appliances. Very well equipped kitchen, memory foam queen mattresses (October 2021), memory foam lower bunk mattresses (October 2025), plenty of towels and linens, large deck and grill, washer and dryer, and a loft for additional space. Note: the kitchen table chairs and bar stools in the photos have been replaced (June 2025). Guest access Guests have the entire home to themselves. Open floor plan, with a large kitchen, island (with breakfast bar for two), dining area and living room all flowing into each other with vaulted ceilings and large west-facing windows. First floor MBR with en suite bathroom. The remaining bedrooms and full bath are upstairs. There is a loft area at the top of the stairs for additional space or a place for the kids to play. The washer and dryer are in the mudroom with room for storing gear, with plenty of space on the covered porch for skis, boards and other stuff. The front open deck has a large picnic table, grill and outdoor seating in the summer and fall. Other things to note All guests must be at least 30 years old unless accompanied by a family member. Plenty of parking in the driveway, but you are limited to three vehicles. If there is a large snowfall, you need not worry about getting to the slopes, as the driveway, walkway and roads are plowed and maintained. Absolutely no parties or gatherings. The cabin is for your personal use and accommodation only. No bachelor or bachelorette party groups, weddings or family reunions or other gatherings of non-overnight guests. This is our vacation home that we make available for guests who will treat it just like it was their own place. Please use only the number of beds you actually need. Our cleaning fee is what we actually pay to our cleaning service, and the more work they have to do, the more they charge; the more they charge, the more we have to charge. It seems silly to have to include this here, but we recently had a young group who claimed to be "two" couples who slept in EVERY bed (we know they were actually a group of four couples who lied to avoid paying the extra person charge, and when questioned about the actual size of their group following my cleaning service's report the young lady insisted (falsely) they chose to sleep in different beds each night and told us that we should have said something in our listing if we expected them to confine themselves to the number of beds needed for the size of their group. Thus this silly note. But hey, if you need to use more beds because you snore, have a cough or want to sleep late, by all means, please do so; just don't have 8 people when you only paid for 4; it's not just unfair, it really messes up my cleaning service's schedule when it takes an extra hour or two to clean and do laundry on days they have multiple properties to clean. Winter Information: **We strongly recommend 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicles. The driveway is completely flat, and snow typically starts in October and ends in May. We do have snow removal service for the driveway and walkway, however plows and our shovelers will only come out for at least 4 inches of snow. They are unable to commit to a specific timeframe of services offered, but will try to get there as early as possible. We recommend being prepared for snow by bringing appropriate footwear and being prepared to shovel if needed. The grill is a few steps away from upstairs door, but the deck will likely have snow. If you plan to grill, please expect that you may have to shovel a short path to access the grill.
