After dark, enjoy watching SpaceX launches when they're scheduled, BBQ some burgers, and play night-light cornhole in the backyard! The space The property is a 5 BR, 2.5 BA house, with a large fenced backyard, just off Hwy 1, set in a lush tropical forest, with Melbourne's Riverview Park practically the extended backyard, and 3 minute walk to the Indian River lagoon with no busy roads to cross! The house has beds for 12 persons. There is dining for up to 18 at the same time between the dining table (6), the outdoor screen room tables and chairs (8), the breakfast bar (4), and outdoor table and chaise chairs (2). Feed your family, or the whole softball or soccer team, all at the same time! There is a large outdoor screen room, "Florida Room" at the back of the house, approx. 10x25, to enjoy Space Coast evenings without the bugs! Screen room dining table and chairs for 6, plus 2 more chairs with side tables. Just outside the screen room, grill some burgers or fish on the Weber charcoal grill. Grill tools and a starter bag of charcoal are provided, just buy more charcoal at nearby local stores if you plan to grill a lot. The spacious master suite has a king bed with a 2-person tub and shower, and a slider that opens to the screened Florida room. It also has an office workspace with a comfortable office chair, and an adjustable height sit-stand desk. One upstairs room also has a desk and office chair workspace. The four large bedrooms upstairs each have comfortable and stylish queen beds, a ceiling fan, a large smart TV (Roku), a large closet, and a nightstand-dresser next to the bed. On each nightstand is a touch lamp featuring wireless charging for your iPhone or Android device. Also, each room has at least one multi-plug outlet with four USB charging ports, including a USB-C port. Guest access Enjoy a nice cup of coffee your first morning, either with the Keurig-compatible single-serve, or make a full pot for a larger group! If you're a coffee connoisseur, bring your own beans and grind them in the grinder! A starter set of K-Cup coffees is provided, including Breakfast Blend, Donut Shop, and Kona style. The house has fast Gigabyte Internet, with three wifi 6e mesh devices to make sure you have fast Internet browsing and streaming wherever you are on the property. The whole house is available for use, with the exception of the garage, which is set up for use by the cleaners and the fixit/handyman staff so we can keep the place clean and spiffy with everything working well for your stay. The kitchen has two microwaves, a large refrigerator, blender, hot water kettle, and pretty much all the appliances and pots and pans and cookie sheets you'd need to make tasty food for a group. There's a large TV in the family room, with XBox One and PS4 gaming systems and controllers and a nice starter set of games. Other TVs in each room have Roku "Guest Mode" so you can watch your streaming services, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. during your stay, and your access codes get automatically erased after your stay. In the living room there's a wooden cabinet with board games and other fun activities. Animal Crossing Monopoly? OK, then maybe Exploding Kittens? Also a few more Xbox One and PS4 games in this cabinet. Other things to note Go visit the beautiful Atlantic beaches, 6 minutes to Indialantic beach, or drive North or South on scenic Hwy A1A and check out some of the many public beach parks. If the surf's up, rent a surfboard and surf like World Champ Kelly Slater, who grew up in nearby Cocoa Beach, 30 minutes north, or his favorite local surfing spot, Sebastian Inlet, 30 miles south. USSSA Softball/baseball groups welcome! The USSSA Space Coast Complex is a 30 minute drive from the property. Soccer teams welcome too. Bring the whole team! Covered dining for 16 plus 8 picnic table spots. Melbourne's beautiful Riverview park, on the Indian River Lagoon, is practically the backyard of the house! Two minute trail walk, and there is a playground and equipment for the kids, gazebos and picnic tables, and Scurrah's Landing kayak launch. On Satudays, visit the Farmers Market at Riverview Park for local produce, food and crafts. Turkey Creek Marina, 6 minutes away has kayak rentals, and kayaking through the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is a fun and beautiful experience! We've seen manatees there and last trip a dolphin swam near the boat. I often see the locals fishing from the causeways, Hwy 192, 518/Eau Gallie, 404/Pineda, or less than a mile down Hwy 1, on Crane Creek at Front St. Park or Bean Park. There are mountain bike trails at nearby Turkey Creek Sanctuary, and also Sebastian Inlet State Park, further south on Hwy A1A. Or bring your city bike and bike the causeway over the Indian River to Indialantic beach, or bike into Melbourne's Historic Downtown, or along scenic Crane Creek. This house has an attached in- law unit with private entrance, combining for total 4 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, living room, family room, game room , kitchen and HEATED pool. It is located in the heart of Melbourne, walkable to FIT, close to Melbourne downtown with lots of restaurants, bars, entertainments ... 2 miles to the Indian river, over 4 miles to the beaches.. The space BBQ has NO cleaning fee, however if gas tank is empty you are required to refuel it yourself, we will not be providing a new gas tank, if it’s empty during your stay we will not reimburse your refills . POOL HEATING is FREE OF CHARGE and it runs from 8 am-5 pm, around 75-85 degrees everyday . During the winter time, if the weather drops too low , heat pump won’t work. Peaceful with a long boardwalk part of it along Turkey Creek. Well managed and entrance is free. Ample parking and very friendly park staff. What a wonderful find! With three different trails (the boardwalk, the exercise trail, and the sandy trail) this is a beautiful place to visit. The park has a nice trail for a sunny day. Most of the trail is forested so there’s plenty of shade. Lots of turtles sunning in the creek. It’s pretty easy to tailor the trails for a walk as short as half an hour or as long as one and half hours. The Majestic Nature of the area is one you will soon not forget. Being able to collect shells, possibly see manatees, see dolphins, turtles, fish, and all kinds of different birds is such a great way to free your mind and enjoy life.
