Because the home is nestled in a forest setting rather than an urban or suburban setting, occasional insects or other small critters around the exterior - and on rare occasions, inside - are a normal part of the Florida environment despite routine pest control. We invite you to slow down, enjoy the fresh air, listen to the birdsong, and experience the beauty and tranquility of this unique woodland escape. NO SMOKING. We kindly request that you observe our strict no smoking policy within the Romance on the Bayou home. To maintain a fresh and inviting atmosphere for all of our guests, smoking indoors is absolutely prohibited. Smoking odor inside the unit related to smoking of any kind will result in a $250 fee. However, we understand that some guests may wish to smoke during their stay. In such cases, please feel free to make use of the outdoor spaces for smoking. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE CIGARETTE BUTTS ANYWHERE ON OUR PROPERTY. This is a wooded area and butts are a fire hazard. The neighborhood leading up to our property is a working-class community with a mix of homes and many long-time residents. The well water on this property has naturally occurring iron or mineral content.

Romance On The Bayou

The house is located in a secluded area off Scenic Highway 30A, about 1/2 mile from the Beach access at Stallworth lake. We are at one of the most pristine beaches in the area, adjacent to the Topsail State Preserve, with many hiking and biking trails, wildlife viewing, canoeing, kayaking and paddle-boarding options. This location has easy access to all the shopping and amenities of highway 98, yet close enough to bike to the action at Watercolor, Seaside and Grayton Beach. The space The space is perfect for adults. The queen size bed has a high quality firm mattress. A nice bathroom with a great shower, and a sofa. There are No cooking facilities in the unit, but there is a Keurig coffee maker, a small fridge, a toaster and a microwave, to fix or heat a little bite. Guest have use of beach chairs and umbrella as well as two chairs and small table for sitting by the pond. The space is not suitable for toddlers or small children. The space is NOT Baby Proofed. Guest access Guests access the guesthouse by walking through the corridor between the main house and the garage and up the stairs in the back. Specific instructions on retrieving the key will be sent at check in time. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor shower when returning from beach. Other things to note This is a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by nature. I view this place as a sanctuary. Play hard and make noise when you are out and about and come here to rest and renew. The beach is less than half a mile away and is accessible through two beach access points one by Stinky’s restaurant the other by stallworth lake. We are close to Topsail State park with it’s amazing trails and pristine beach.

Dune Villa is located on the west end of 30-A. Our stand alone guest house has a private entrance with guest parking, full kitchen, laundry, queen size bed, bathroom and outdoor shower. Beach chairs/umbrella, beach towels, cooler, and two bicycles are provided. Just around the corner from Stinky’s Fish Camp, Santa Rosa Golf Club, Topsail State Park, Coastal Dune Lakes and Gulf Place Town Center. The perfect vacation rental for quick trips to the beach, business trips, or an extended vacation. Recently, the owner's decided to nestle some cottages onto the property to allow guests the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds - The Forest and the Beach! Camp Coastal's cottages are designed and laid out to be an oasis of tranquility to comfortably accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 kids. The cottage’s bedroom have an extra comfy king size bed while the living room have a queen sleeper sofa with a Sealy Royale mattress. The home has a full kitchen with dishwasher and a kitchen island with seating for 4. Even though we encourage our guests to "disconnect", the cottages have high speed 500 mbps wireless internet throughout the home. The cottages are appx. 620 sq ft with an additional 400 sq ft of deck which brings the cottage's entire building area to just over 1,000 sq ft. Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch while the deer feed throughout the woods. Grill out on the deck while watching the game on the outdoor Smart TV. Enjoy a meal with the family - dinning outside. Or how about cocktails and laugh filled conversations in the evenings, sitting by the firepit and viewing the stars overhead. However, don't forget your swimsuit too! There's a 1/2 mile paved bike path from Camp Coastal to the Ed Walline public beach access! There's also Gulf Place across the street from the beach with it's numerous restaurants, shopping and activities. Also to note if vacationing with children or teens - appx. 1/2 mile just north of Camp Coastal just off 393 is Helen McCall Park. A wonderful playground with a splash pad for the younger kids and a great skatepark for the older ones. If you're looking to make lifetime memories with your family, here's your chance to escape the cramped condos - enjoy nature, the beach and the Old Florida lifestyle! Guest access Just prior to your arrival, you will receive your check in code to access the property. The electronic codes change with each reservation and expire on the morning of the guests departure. The cottage @ Camp Coastal is situated towards the front of this 8 acre parcel of pristine forest. The driveway into the property is shared - the owners of the property maintain the back half of the 8 acres their private use. Other things to note Camp Coastal is a short term rental for couples and small families to enjoy their beach vacation. This property is NOT to be rented for gatherings or stays of more than 4 people. Due to insurance regulations, no unregistered guests are to be on the property. If more than 4 guests are observed on the property - the reservation will be canceled and there will be no refunds issued. There is a gas grill that's provided for our guests to use. We do not charge an extra fee for use of the grill - However, we do expect the grill to be cleaned and left in the same condition it was in upon check in. If the grill is left dirty, there will be an additional $25.00 charge billed to pay the cleaner for this extra duty. A gas fire-pit is provided for our guest. A propane bottle is provided, however we do not maintain the amount of propane in the fire-pit tank. It is filled by management once per month. If the bottle is empty or runs out during the guests stay - the guest may swap out the bottle at the corner gas station at their expense. Two (2) backpack beach chairs are provided for use as well as beach towels for the amount of guests noted on the reservation.

As super hosts we love providing everything our guests need for a comfortable stay with minimal packing required. The space This above the garage private unit is on the 2nd floor with access through an exterior staircase. The main room encompasses the living room with a sofa/sleeper, dining room with table and chairs for four and full kitchen with all major appliances and an ice maker. There is a hallway with closets where you will find the washer/dryer, pantry, utility closet and linen closet. You can enter into the full bathroom with a walk-in shower, and double vanity through the bedroom or the hall off the kitchen. Through a separate door off of the living room you will find the master bedroom with king bed, black out shades, double door closet, and 50 inch smart TV. Your private balcony has two chairs and a table overlooking your private side yard with artificial turf and more seating with some yard games. This area will not be used by owners and the pool will not be used by owners when guests are enjoying it. Guest access Guests have their own parking at the end of the driveway and full access to the shared large pool, hot tub, Weber gas grill and Traeger pellet smoker. The outdoor amenities are shared with the family in the main house, myself, my wife and our five year old son. There is a walkway from the unit to the back yard with a gate that enters the pool area. At the pool there is also a large dining table for six with an umbrella, several Loungers and other seating. A 19 mile biking trail along 30A with bike rental shops nearby. Gulf Place has three private entrances to the beach and the beach along this stretch of 30-A is known for the lovely surf and sugar white sand. You can sun, rest under an umbrella, or stroll the beach. Just enjoy! Guest access Check In/Check Out – Check in will be 4:00pm or after. Your key code will not work until 4pm the day of check in. Check Out will be no later than 10:00 A.M. unless special arrangements are made. A $200 fee will be charged for late check-outs. This turnover time is to facilitate the cleaning of units. Due to our high standards for cleanliness, all units will NOT be ready for check-in BEFORE 4 P.M., unless pre-arranged. We require college groups/guests to all be 21 and over, and if under 25, need to be chaperoned with at least two adults, 25 and over, or groups/guests need to be a family. Chaperone needs to stay in the property during the entire stay. If this is a college group, there are additional fees, as well as a $2000 deposit required.
