Welcome to Airport House at the Vinton County Airport (22I) drive in or fly in to our newly renovated 3 bedroom, two bathroom home. Any time is a great time to visit our area. We are centrally located between Hocking Hills State Park, Ash Caves, Old Man's Caves, Lake Hope State Park and Moonville Tunnel. Relax on the front porch swing or build a fire in the fire pit out back and enjoy nature. Car rental can be arranged if you fly in. The space Airport House is centrally located between Old Man's Caves, Ash Caves, Rock House, Lake Hope, Moonville Tunnel in Hocking Hills Region and Zaleski State Park and directly across the road from Vinton County Airport (22India). For your safety you will find we observe the strict cleaning protocol for Covid-19. Aside from being very clean the home is set up to make you very comfortable while you are with us, we want you to enjoy staying us and confident that you aren't at risk for contacting Covid-19 while here. We provide bed linen and bathroom linens, your toiletries except toothpaste and toothbrush. The kitchen is well stocked with necessary cooking and cleaning items and there's pods for you in case you need to do a bit of laundry. And if you need anything that isn't there, just ask and we will make every effort to get it for you as our guests are important to us. WiFi is very spotty because of our location, but in 'spots' in the home, it's pretty good. You more than likely will see many deer both in the mornings and at dusk when they are freely roaming the area. And if you are into 'Birding' we've a lovely large variety of birds nesting in the woods behind the house and feeding at the bird feeders. Guest access The home has all the appliances including washer a dryer for your use. WiFi is spotty because of our location, but works well in much of the areas in the house. You have free use of the entire home except the basement, which is blocked off and is used for personal storage only. The fireplace isn’t working at this time, but we hope to have it cleaned and inspected soon. The airport is open 24/7 for you to visit and talk to anyone around. We have a car for use of pilots that fly in, there’s a charge for the use of the car. Other things to note Airport House has a fully equipped kitchen. If we’ve overlooked anything, just let us know and we will provide it immediately. There’s a dishwasher a washer and dryer. Additionally we'll make sure you have dishwashing detergent, dishwasher pods and laundry pods. Kitchen towels, and washing up cloths are also provided. There’s a limited amount paper products, but if there’s anything you need we will happily supply them. There will always be shampoo, cream rinse, lotion and soaps, bath tissue, coffee filters, paper napkins, trash bags and paper towels for your stay. We will make sure you have coffee, an assortment of teas, half&half, and sweeteners. And for your convenience there will always be salt & pepper, oil. Be assured that before you arrive we will make up your bedrooms with freshly cleaned and sanitized bed linens, and supply all your towels, hand towels and washcloths. There are 3 bedrooms. #1 Master bedroom with queen size bed. Has private bath with soaking tub. #2 Queen bedroom, shared bathroom with Third bedroom. #3 Captains bed with shared bathroom. Very comfortable. #4 There’s a baby crib a PacknPlay and a very nice folding bed for that extra adult guest. There’s two hairdryers and one magnifying makeup mirror, and a small first aid kit. Also a new high chair for the little ones. Because of COVID-19 we are committed to making sure you are safe. We sanitize every surface including the beds both before and after we change the bedding. We use Clorox fabric spray to sanitize the mattress, curtains, sofas, chairs, all pillows, towels and all other fabrics in the home (eg. cloth napkins, placemats, tea towels and kitchen towels, and all cleaning cloths). Because we recently added a fence, so we can take pets, There is a $200 pet fee, per pet. We find our guests enjoy bringing their fur babies with them. Sometimes to save the pet from going to a Kennel and sometimes just because they want them along. Because we also have guests that are allergic to pet dander, we must have the home deep cleaned and this costs more.

Off the kitchen, is the large deck that overlooks a stocked pond for catch-and-release fishing, a wooded hillside, and a meadow with occasional wildlife visitors. A short walk from the deck is a 5-person hot tub, a fire ring, and an outdoor gazebo. The main level also features a bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom, and a desk. Head up the floating staircase, and grab a book or a game from the built-in shelving or watch TV. This area also has a comfortable couch and a door that leads to a balcony overlooking the pond. Off the upstairs living area, is the master suite which features a king bed and a full bathroom. The upper level also has the perfect kid's room with three twin trundle beds and a full bathroom. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home except for a couple of locked closets. Other things to note If children are staying, guests should supervise children at all times due to the pond's close proximity to the house. We kindly ask that you leave your pet at home, since we are not a pet-friendly cabin.

The guest who books must stay at the property--you may not book for others if you do not intend to stay at the property. MINIMUM: 2 night stay minimum, 10% discount with a 7 night stay. PARKING: Private and mostly flat driveway (4 vehicles max) with room for a vehicle pulling a boat or trailer. HOT TUB USE: Use of hot tub is at your own risk. We will not be responsible for accidents or injury to guests using the hot tub. When not in use, cover should be closed and secured. Any damage caused to hot tub or cover will result in $400 replacement/repair charge. Adult supervision required at all times. SETTING & WILDLIFE: Though our cabin sits on land that is fairly flat, the woods behind our cabin have a steep terrain. We ask that guests refrain from using the woods behind the cabin. There is no trespassing on the adjacent property to the east. And because of the woods, there will be bugs, ticks, critters, poison ivy and all that comes with the great outdoors so use caution when outside. We also ask that guests enjoy the wildlife but proceed with caution as they are wild animals after all. And out of respect for the few neighbors we do have, quiet time starts at 10pm through 8am, no fireworks or firearms and we ask that you keep children within the boundaries of the treelines at all times for their safety.

Pre-Arrival Recommendation: - Purchase firewood on your way to our property so you can enjoy our fire pit - Stock up on food, drinks, and snacks before you leave your hometown. We do have a few discount marts that are well stocked within 10 minutes, and a full grocery store in McArthur, but we recommend getting your desired items before heading to the cabin. Reminders: - No smoking inside...please. Outdoor smoking is allowed, but please clean up all cigarette butts. There is a $500 fee for indoor smoking (save yourself some money and smoke outside, please!) - We want you to have a fun time, but we do not allow large parties or unapproved events. For this reason, we charge $100/guest who is not listed on your booking.

Hocking Hills Cabin | 7BR | Heated Pool, Hot Tub

The Lodge at the Diamond B Ranch, in the heart of Wayne National Forest, offers a secluded getaway within a short drive of Hocking Hills State Park, Old Man’s Caves, Ash Cave and all of the Hocking Hills attractions. If you prefer, stay and relax on the many rocking chairs on the porch and play some checkers or try your skill at one of the games downstairs. You will have our 116 acres and Wayne national forest to explore right out your door. The space The Lodge is a remote retreat and features a park-like setting in the midst of 116 private wooded acres with abundant trails for relaxing hikes. It has a master suite with king bed, private bath and balcony; 5 queen bedrooms; and another with a twin bed that opens to a king, and 2-1/2 additional bathrooms. The full kitchen has everything you will need including stainless steel gas top stove, refrigerator with ice and water on the door, microwave and dishwasher. The abundant granite countertops and large center island give you plenty of prep space. Don’t feel like cooking inside? Cook outside on the charcoal grill and enjoy the large deck. Downstairs you will find a 120” projector TV, Ms Pac-Man/Donkey Kong/Galaga machine, basketball game, a shuffleboard table and hockey/foosball game along with lots of DVD’s and board games. If you just want to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet, try the rocking chairs and checkerboards on the large second floor porch or build a bonfire and make some smores. Keep in mind that sometimes the crickets and frogs get very noisy! However you like to spend your vacation, The Lodge at the Diamond B Ranch will help you enjoy all life in the country has to offer! Guest access You will get to enjoy the entire house. (except the garage) Other things to note Paid guests only. We DO NOT allow unpaid day or overnight guests. Occupancy is limited to the maximum number of guests accommodated by the lodge and the number of guests included in your reservation. You will be charged for additional guests and may be asked to leave without refund if the number exceeds the occupancy of the lodge. Our Lodge is intended to provide a quiet/relaxing atmosphere for our guests. We do not allow any parties or load music. Smoking/vaping is not allowed inside the lodge. You are welcome to smoke outside provided all cigarette/cigar butts are placed in the ashtrays or ash buckets that are provided. There is a $500 charge plus damages for smoking in the building. We treat our lodge for pests but remember it is in the woods and you may encounter insects, spiders, mice or other woodland creatures. No refunds will be made because of theses encounters. No candles Pets are not allowed in the lodge. If it is found that there have been unauthorized pets in the building, a $100 cleaning fee will be charged and/or you may be asked to vacate the premises without refund. Any damage caused by the pet will be billed to the credit card of the renter. Possession of any illegal substance prohibited. No Fireworks allowed anywhere on the property. Renter shall not sublet his/her contract. No refunds will be made in unforeseen circumstances pertaining to acts of God. Gas log fireplace dates - October 1st - April 1st Renter agrees to leave premises clean and in good order including washing and putting dishes away and placing all soiled linens in provided hampers in the laundry room. Failure to do so will result in a $50.00 fee to be levied to their credit card/deducted from the security deposit.
