The home’s smart devices also rely on the WiFi system to operate properly. Summer: Enjoy Colorado’s naturally cooler evenings and low humidity throughout the summer. The home is designed to stay comfortable with windows that can be opened for fresh mountain air, along with ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living areas for added airflow and circulation. Winter: Snowfall can vary during the winter months. For guests staying during late October through late April, we recommend driving an AWD or 4WD vehicle. This outlines the house rules, liability waiver, and terms of stay, just to make sure everyone's on the same page. ~Hot Tub Maintenance~ To keep the hot tub sparkling clean, our technician stops by every Monday between 10 AM and 2 PM to service the water. No need to be home, they'll take care of everything. ~Security Cameras~ We have exterior security (ring doorbell) camera at the front entrance of the home. ~Navigation~ The last half mile to the property is a well-maintained dirt road, fully accessible by standard vehicle. The space This 2-level, 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom, home was built in 2019 and is part of a small neighborhood of homes in the town of Bailey. Enjoy your coffee with views of the mountain peaks from one of the two decks or bbq'ing outside. With two living rooms and plenty of space for groups, it's perfect for mountain-style entertaining. While an SUV is not required, it is highly recommended as our driveway may cause low-riding vehicles to scrape the underside based on the natural terrain of the road. Skip the hot tub during thunderstorms or if you have open wounds or a serious health condition — and please, no pets in the tub. We ask that guests treat it with care. We do plow for 4+ inches, but we cannot guarantee it is immediate since it depends on the plow driver's schedule. If we do get a snow storm, you will need to be more self-sufficient and we provide shovels and basic winter supplies. Please consider trip insurance if you are not comfortable with snow. However, we believe this is the most beautiful time of the year and a great time to visit. WILDLIFE: Our area is full of creatures big and small! It is very possible to encounter deer, foxes, and birds. More elusive mountain lions, bears, elk, and moose are in the area as well. Please be cautious, do not feed wildlife, and be bear aware! No coolers outside, food and drinks left outside overnight, or unlocked cars with food in them. NEIGHBORHOOD: We are located in a very small community far off the beaten path. There is plenty of privacy to be had, but we do have neighbors and adhere to a quiet hours policy. We are 20-25 minutes to grocery stores and recommend stopping in Conifer on the way in. Our limited restaurants can be seasonal and suggest calling ahead. Not suitable for infants or people with respiratory and heart conditions due to our 8,000ft elevation unless acclimated.

There is nothing like this home anywhere in Colorado! The Zen Treehouse is only one hour from downtown Denver and only an hour and 10 minutes from downtown Boulder or Denver International Airport. The only part of the drive that is on a dirt road is the last five minutes. This is where an all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. There are somewhat steep switchbacks that will take you, in those last five minutes, to the gate of Zen Treehouse, where luxury and relaxation await. This is a pet-friendly property that requires a non-refundable pet fee of $150 per animal. We also charge a $350 refundable deposit per dog (for up to 2 large or 3 small dogs) for stays at Zen Treehouse. This deposit is refunded within 2 weeks of departure if the cleaning is not excessive (beyond what is expected by the number of dogs staying) AND if no damages occur. The most common damages that result in forfeiture of deposit are scratches to the doors, door frames and walls, damages to screens, and lack of cleaning up after the dog(s). The best way to avoid these types of damages is to not close dogs into rooms or the house (if you are leaving), and if you do plan to leave your dog(s) at the house, having a kennel/kennels there is highly recommended. For damages, we pay a team member for the time it takes to gather photos, contact guests, file claims with the booking platforms, and coordinate repairs, and we pay our contractor(s) for the actual repairs. If the cost goes above the fee collected, we will ask the dog owner to pay the difference. We also will have a 50amp outlet in the garage to quickly charge your EV during your stay. The neighborhood features 200 acres of open space for hiking, biking, and volleyball. There is ample parking in front of the home (space for 3 cars). The home is located on a private easement shared with a few other neighbors. Because of this, there is almost no traffic on that road. We do ask that you be courteous of our neighbors and stick to the designated parking spaces. WINTER: To get to Sunset Haven, you’ll be on paved roads the entire time with the exception of the 100 foot easement (rare for mountain properties!) Downstairs, you'll find another cozy family room with lots of seating, a tv, and table for cards or games. Your group will have plenty of space to spread out if desired. Glenview is a historical cabin built in the early 1900's. This is the largest of the sixteen cabins at Glen Isle, and can comfortably accommodate larger groups of family or friends. The cabin is a traditional two-story log cabin, with a beautiful rock fireplace that has a new wood-burning insert. There is plenty of comfortable seating around for game night, a large kitchen, fully furnished for cooking, an outdoor propane/charcoal grill, all within a few yards from the Platte River. The space Glenview is part of the Glen-Isle Resort, and you will have 150 acres to explore. Payne-Gulch/Brookside trail is directly behind Glen-Isle, along with a mile of the Platte River for fly-fishing. Enjoy exploring the historic Lodge, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, filled with Native American Artifacts, dolls from all over the world, and furniture that dates back to the original days of 1901. Guest access Guests are welcome to explore the 150 acres. (We do have a few private homes sitting on Glen-Isle property, and we ask that our guests are always respectful of those residents. Make sure you check-out The Point, our recreation room, the fire-ring circle that has hosts many evening events, and we look forward to sharing the historic lodge with you. Deer are frequently spotted walking around the property. The space This secluded cabin is not far from the city but provides lots of space outdoors to relax. A variety of friendly wildlife has been known to venture into the property’s grounds. Guests can trek in the Rockies and follow the miles of spectacular hiking trails and relax in the cabin for an unforgettable vacation. Guest access The whole cabin and 5 acres of the property. Other things to note Smoking of any kind is strictly forbidden. No outdoor fires are allowed. Please leave the cabin and property in the same condition as when you arrived. Only registered guests are allowed on the property unless prior approval has been given. (This is not an issue for 98% of our guests but have to include this.) Our cabin runs on a well so please be mindful to use the water conservatively. We have not had any issues with guests running out of water but it could happen if you leave the water running. **We have new high speed fiber internet access with unlimited data.** Bailey can be reached in just one hour by car from Denver. The cabin is an easy drive of about 25 miles or 35 minutes away from Red Rocks Amphitheater. We are about 90 minutes from the nearest ski resort.
