Turning right, you enter the great room with a formal dining room that has two extra leaves. It sits beside a large window receiving ample light. Left of the dining room is a lounge area facing a large flatscreen TV. Left of the couch is a gas lit fireplace warming the room. On the left of the fireplace, you’ll find all the additional bedding. On the right side of the fireplace you’ll see a locking cabinet if you wish to store valuables under lock and key. Under the TV are plenty of games and playing cards. Just past the great room is our gourmet kitchen. Traveling left into the hallway, the first bedroom has a beautiful pale blue, cream, and gold decor with towering white drapes, sheers and black-out blinds. To the right is the main bathroom with a jetted tub and tall shower head. Under the sink cabinet you’ll find virtually all toiletry amenities. On either sides of the main bathroom are two small hallway closets containing supplies; towels, sheets, ironing board, A/C, etc... Further to the right is the 2nd bedroom, in a peaceful beach decor; tan walls, dark blue comforter, and plush rug. Behind the kitchen is our third bedroom in pale blue, ivory and black. It has its own flat screen TV and outside access. Taking this door leads you to the laundry room then to the backyard deck and gazebo area. Enjoy this heated, lit space for casual meals and hanging out. (This is the only permitted smoking area as well as the fire pit area, to the right). You will also find a barbecue, outdoor sauna, corn hole, dart board, and games area. To the left of the gazebo area is the path leading to the front driveway through the gate door. Just inside this gate are 3 large trash cans; tan for waste, recycle, and green. TWO STUDIOS, WITH LONG-TERM RENTERS IN EACH, ARE ON THE PROPERTY: a duplex unit just behind the main house behind the laundry room, and a detached Quonset Hut on the rear left of the property. These are fully separate; no shared living spaces. The laundry room is shared, and the walkways leading to these rear units are shared. Cindy, your property manager, is just a text or call away. You’ll find a bungalow/guest house by walking down a wooden path, past two raised veggie beds, on your right. THIS IS WHERE YOUR FREE EXTRA HALF BATHROOM IS LOCATED. It makes a nice 2nd washroom when out in the yard, or when getting ready to go out. The cottage is oriented for complete privacy with an enclosed front patio and a large rear entertaining patio which is situated along side the creek. The interior living areas are spacious, looking out into the trees rising above the stream behind the residence. Guest access Less than four miles from the intersection of historic San Luis Obispo and the 101, yet immersed in countryside seclusion. Just off the 1 and up a country road, which loops behind a small mountain. Once you enter the driveway you will cross a charming bridge that takes you over the oak-lined creek and around to your private cottage entrance. Other things to note Bedroom Layout The game room and third bedroom with its private bathroom are part of an attached converted addition. Access to the game room, third bedroom and bathroom is through the second bedroom, making this layout best suited for families or groups comfortable with connected sleeping spaces. Seasonal Game Room Temperatures The third bedroom is well insulated, but the game room may become warm on hot afternoons or cool on cold nights. It typically cools comfortably in the evening. There is a large fan and a space heater for that room. Road Access The last mile to the property is on a well-graded dirt road suitable for standard passenger vehicles, but can get a little bumpy just before reaching the paved driveway. Our mountain top retreat overlooks panoramic views of Morro Bay, SLO and beyond. We have three beautiful master suites, each with their own well appointed en suite. The open floor plan kitchen and great room are a shared space that ties the suites together as a home. We're ideal for 6-8 people. If we’re in town, we stay in the upper unit, but give guests full privacy at all times. If you’re concerned, please inquire about whether we’ll be around during your stay. The indoor spaces are open and airy, with high ceilings, plenty of natural light and endless views. All rooms have french doors overlooking a private covered patio and garden. Each suite has it's own ensuite with a large whirlpool tub, open-air shower and water closet; as well as a king size memory foam bed, Brooklinen bedding, couch, fireplace, smart-tv, wi-fi and iPhone radio. Our common room/kitchen has an open floor plan, with a large sectional couch, 8 person dining table, electric range/oven and full-size refrigerator. The kitchen has reverse osmosis water, coffee maker and tea kettle, large electric griddle/grill, rice cooker, microwave, toaster, pots and pans, dishes and utensils. Locally roasted, organic coffee and tea is also provided. Two sets of large north/east facing slider doors allow for a seamless outdoor transition. Outside, the pergola covered picnic table overlooks Morro Bay, and the charcoal grill is ideal for get togethers with family and friends. The house has a fully stocked kitchen and dedicated dining room with table that extends to comfortably seat 8. Turning right, you enter the great room with a formal dining room that has two extra leaves. It sits beside a large window receiving ample light. Left of the dining room is a lounge area facing a large flatscreen TV. Left of the couch is a gas lit fireplace warming the room. On the left of the fireplace, you’ll find all the additional bedding. On the right side of the fireplace you’ll see a locking cabinet if you wish to store valuables under lock and key. Under the TV are plenty of games and playing cards. Just past the great room is our gourmet kitchen. Traveling left into the hallway, the first bedroom has a beautiful pale blue, cream, and gold decor with towering white drapes, sheers and black-out blinds. To the right is the main bathroom with a jetted tub and tall shower head. Under the sink cabinet you’ll find virtually all toiletry amenities. On either sides of the main bathroom are two small hallway closets containing supplies; towels, sheets, ironing board, A/C, etc... Further to the right is the 2nd bedroom, in a peaceful beach decor; tan walls, dark blue comforter, and plush rug. Behind the kitchen is our third bedroom in pale blue, ivory and black. It has its own flat screen TV and outside access. Taking this door leads you to the laundry room then to the backyard deck and gazebo area. Enjoy this heated, lit space for casual meals and hanging out. (This is the only permitted smoking area as well as the fire pit area, to the right). You will also find a barbecue, outdoor sauna, corn hole, dart board, and games area. To the left of the gazebo area is the path leading to the front driveway through the gate door. Just inside this gate are 3 large trash cans; tan for waste, recycle, and green. TWO STUDIOS, WITH LONG-TERM RENTERS IN EACH, ARE ON THE PROPERTY: a duplex unit just behind the main house behind the laundry room, and a detached Quonset Hut on the rear left of the property. These are fully separate; no shared living spaces. The laundry room is shared, and the walkways leading to these rear units are shared. Cindy, your property manager, is just a text or call away. You’ll find your bungalow/guest house by walking down a wooden path, past two raised veggie beds, on your right. THIS IS WHERE YOUR EXTRA HALF BATHROOM IS LOCATED. It makes a nice 2nd washroom when out in the yard, or when getting ready to go out. The bungalow contains a quality queen bed, leather loveseat, lounge area with flatscreen TV, and attractive faux fireplace that is backlit. All outdoor areas (other than enclosed gated areas) are for the exclusive use of the vacation guests! Enjoy~ Guest access You’ll have two off-street parking spaces, one behind the other in our driveway. Further, there are plenty of spaces on Mitchell Drive. Out of courtesy if you’re bringing several cars, please park some of them down the street to avoid congestion for our neighbors. To enter the house, use the key code provided by Airbnb ~48 hours before arrival. Other things to note DOGGIE PROTOCOL: (If bringing your pet). They are most welcome if you will abide by the following rules: 1) Bring them freshly washed. 2) Hide all throw pillows and anything they might chew on. 3) Lay sheets on ALL lounge areas. 4) Fold and put away the bed comforters. 5) For potty time, walk them off the property, or use the backyard then pick up after them. Strictly no peeing on the front lawn. And 6) In the unlikely unfortunate event of ‘accidents’, agree to pay the cost of the damaged item, $50 for each lawn burn mark, or the steam clean fee of $120. The space The entire property has three homes and one garage spanning between South St. and Branch St. Layzie Dayzie is the front house off of South St, which can be a busy street during peak traffic hours. Cozy Studio Vibes is a tiny home that sits at the end of the long driveway. Guests staying in the tiny home are advised to park on the street. (Parking is free) We live in the home off Branch St. which is 75 feet away from the Layzie Dayzie. The large yard between both properties is not available for use. Guest access You will be able to access the South St home, driveway, and front yard. You may also cut through the yard towards Branch St to access some of our favorite places downtown, like BA Start, High St. Deli, or The Nautical Bean. Take the gravel path past our house on Branch St. Feel free to say hi, we love meeting our guests and are so happy for you to enjoy the beautiful downtown neighborhood.
