Also there is distant tree trimming place that causes no noise or trouble. Everyone loves this even though not surrounded by other houses. No MOLD, very clean place.. The space High ceilings, large dining kitchen area, two large bedrooms without carpeting - views of trees in the distance. - many beds, doubles and twins available. Organic sheets, pillows and bedding for the most part. small upstairs porch overlooking half acre of garden/lawn. New grill, lower porch with last table to eat and work on. Grassy area just sit and read or lie in the sun. About a 10 minute drive or 20 minute bike ride from Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, and Vineyard Haven's commercial centers. Full kitchen, full bath (step in shower, no tub), air-conditioned/heated and ready for your getaway. The space Generally, getting to Martha's Vineyard involves a ferry. If you're bringing a car, you need to make a reservation, usually well in advance. If you're not bringing a car, there are many boats each day, some of which arrive in Oak Bluffs, some in Vineyard Haven. There are cabs and buses right by the ferries. There are so many things to do on the Vineyard -- whether you like to swim, boat, fish, eat delicious food, poke in shops, learn about natural history, take long walks, or read great books, I'm happy to help you find your fun! I am awaiting delivery of a brand new full-sized sofa, arm chair, and coffee table. When they arrive, I will photograph the space again. The kitchen table has also been replaced with a larger, rectangular table, because I think it's nice to have more room for opening the NY Times puzzle page while eating breakfast! So, the changes that are coming are upgrades/improvements and do not substantively change the use of the space. Thank you for your patience -- deliveries are slow right now!! Guest access You'll have exclusive use of the entire apartment. There is a very small yard next to the garage/apartment which you are welcome to use. There is a glass topped table and four chairs in the small yard behind the building, where the afternoon shade might be very welcome. I have an outdoor shower, great for after the beach, which I am happy to share the use of. Other things to note My house is next door to the apartment. I live there with my partner and our four dogs, who have access to a fenced in yard. I wish I could say they never bark, but unfortunately, they do sometimes bark, especially at strangers, but sometimes at nothing I can see. I will do whatever I can to minimize it, especially if it is disturbing you! If you want to meet them, please let me know so I can help with that. On 3 acres in a quiet area in the center of the island, the house is in a wooded area that leads to numerous island trails. The town of West Tisbury is 1.5 miles away with a bakery, general store, library and church. Included with your stay is access to the town’s private beach, Lamberts Cove which is an island favorite and only 2 miles away. The space The suite has a private entrance off of the home's rear deck. The two bedrooms, bathroom and laundry are in this wing, which is closed off from the rest of the house by a door locked from the suite side. One bedroom has a queen size bed and closet. The other room has a queen bed, SmartTV, closet, microwave, minibar and coffee/tea setup. There is no kitchen. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Directly off of the entrance are a hot tub and outdoor shower which will be used exclusively by you during your stay. The deck as well is for your exclusive use. Guest access Abby and Ken live in the home but you have exclusive and private use of the suite, deck, hot tub, outdoor shower and adjoining yard. A parking space is reserved for you as well. An artist's studio/office in the back yard is a perfect hideaway for working or napping. The deck lights up majestically at night.

In Vineyard Haven there are shops and restaurants, the MV Film Center with interesting programming. Buses go everywhere on the island. They are very practical and easy to negociate. My family guest house is basic and charming. Since it's above the garage, it's a bit like a tree house with a water view, airy and light.

Bungalow 24 shares 1.4 acres with our main house in beautiful Vineyard Haven. With new paint, carpets, appliances and upgrades you'll find yourself relaxing in a nicely appointed cottage steps away from 80+ acres of conservation land filled with trails for hiking & biking. A coffee shop, grocery store, restaurants and shopping are right down the hill and the beautiful MV sunsets are an easy drive from here too! Please come enjoy our little slice of heaven here on Martha's Vineyard. The space There is a king size bedroom with deck located on the 2nd floor. The main floor is where you'll find the kitchen, dining, bathroom and TV room with a full size futon. The 2nd bedroom is located downstairs with a queen bed and laundry area. There's a beautiful outdoor shower as well as a fire pit, new grill and picnic table Guest access Bungalow 24 is all yours and you'll access the cottage from the backside facing your backyard and conservation area Other things to note If bringing a vehicle make sure to book your round-trip on the Steamship Authority ASAP! Walk on tickets are much easier to get for the slow ferries but book ahead of time if taking any of the fast ferries to MV - visit vineyardferries dot com for all schedules in one place. ~The chance of getting on and off without a reservation for a vehicle is doubtful~ Also, the cottage is approximately 50 feet from the main house but provides lots of privacy for our guests based on how we set it up. The space Our property was originally a barn built in 1870. Preserved original architectural features such as 15-foot pitched ceilings, exposed beams, barn wood, shiplap, and open-concept interior design are all hallmarks of this rustic barn-style home. 1st floor is an open kitchen, dining, and living area which opens onto a deck overlooking the pond. The queen bedroom and full bath are off the living area. The captain’s staircase leads to the 2nd floor which is an enclosed loft King bedroom with a pitched ceiling, balcony overlooking the pond, and half bathroom/powder room, plus a daybed. Interior furnishings throughout are very comfortable. Relax on memory foam mattresses, with a variety of nice pillows to suit all preferences, soft cotton sheets, cozy blankets, and cotton duvets with fluffy comforters. There's a big deck overlooking the pond with sectional sofa seating, dining table, and gas grill. An outdoor shower is off the deck. There is lots of private outdoor space and plenty of parking. Ferry reservations are required for vehicles. Ask the host about how to get a reservation when they appear to be sold out! Guests who wish to bring a pet must contact the host for approval and agree to our pet policy terms. We do not accept cats. Guest access The property is central and conveniently located to Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven (1 mi), Edgartown (7 mi), and many beaches and includes 2 Ocean kayaks and 2 Schwinn Sierra cruiser bikes. Cabs usually arrive for pick up at the property within 5 - 15 mins, bus stop nearby, and direct bike path access. Beach and much more within walking distance. Other things to note We follow Airbnb's Enhanced Cleaning protocol for Covid-19. It can add up to 2 hrs to the cleaning process which is why our check-in time is 5 pm. We contact guests as soon as the property is ready for check-in if it's before 5 pm. Med Flight lands in a field near the property to pick up emergencies. Generally, guests tell us the sound is not an issue. However, depending upon the wind direction, sometimes it can seem loud for 1 - 3 minutes during landings and takeoffs. There are no exterior or interior cameras at this property. Ferry reservations are required for bringing a vehicle to the island. Ask the host how to get a reservation when they appear to be sold out. Some of our guests choose not to bring a car. Much to do and see within 1 mile walking distance, cabs are readily available, bus stop is nearby, and there is direct bike path access from the property. Guests who wish to bring a dog must contact the host for approval.
