The space Located in Historic Brewer's Hill just north of downtown Milwaukee, the Gem of Brewer's Hill was built in 1891. We are located on a quiet street with off street parking, which is accessed via the paved alley. All bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. Two bedrooms have king sized beds with hardwood floors. The middle bedroom is carpeted and has a Queen size mattress. All bedrooms have a smart TV, USB outlets, ceiling fans, electric mattress pads, bath robes and a white noise machine. There is a dedicated office space on the first floor, off the dining room, which also has a single pull out couch. The living room has a smart tv. High speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the unit. Enjoy coffee on the side porch or dinner grilled in the backyard. Each floor has a full bathroom. Two of the bathrooms have jetted tubs. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker and traditional coffee pot with bean grinder. We supply a variety of K-cup coffees, teas and hot chocolate. The lower level rec room has a electronic dart board, pinball machine, two smart tv's, four-top cocktail table, a couch and separate living room area. The house has all the charm of an old Victorian, with 10 foot ceilings, slightly uneven hard wood floors and quirky staircases. The house is not childproofed (no covered outlets or secured furniture). There are 14 steps up to the front porch, stairs inside to go up to the bedrooms and down to the rec room, and 6 steps down the side porch to the parking pad. The house has dual zoned central air conditioning and whisper quiet water heated radiators. The radiators will be warm to the touch, but will not burn. The owner's live next door, so please let us know if you need anything. In the summer, guests have access to owner's in-ground swimming pool, which is located across the street. The pool will be shared with the owners and their guests, therefore we cannot guarantee private access. The pool is fenced in and has a locked cover which requires a passcode to be opened. The pool has an 8 foot deep end with diving board, basketball goal in the shallow end, outdoor kitchen and bathroom. The pool is open 10am-9pm everyday between Memorial Day and Labor Day, weather permitting. This is a salt pool, and is heated all summer long. Pool floats and toys are provided. If you are riding motorcycles, please let us know how many bikes you will be parking. The driveway has a slight slope and some uneven sections. Guest access You’ll have access to all 3 levels of living spaces in this historic home as well as 2 off street parking spaces on site, a fully fenced in yard, a year round hot tub and seasonal in ground pool across the street that‘a shared with two other households. Other things to note Hot Tub Safety Rules: • Don’t enter a hot tub when you have diarrhea (gross, but really important). • Don’t swallow hot tub water or even get it into your mouth. • Shower or bathe before entering the hot tub (otherwise the water will get very foamy) • No more than 6 people in the hot tub at a time. • Don’t let children less than 5 years of age use hot tubs. • Don’t drink alcohol before entering the hot tub or during hot tub use. • The hot tub temperature is kept at 80 degrees when not in use; the water temperature should not exceed 104°F (40°C) when in use. At this temperature, please do not exceed 30 consecutive minutes in the hot tub. • Always keep hot tub covered when not in use. • Do not use hot tub if you are pregnant or have health issues.

Our classic Milwaukee duplex was built in 1900 and is full of charm! If you know Milwaukee, you know that the lower east side is one of the best places to be and we are located right between Brady Street and Water Street (minutes from Fiserv Forum, Bradford Beach, the River Walk, and too many bars and restaurants to count). The space Highlights: - This is the upper unit of a quintessential Milwaukee duplex - Over 1300 square feet of living space - The second floor of this building is the main floor of this upper unit and has the following rooms: living room, dining room, kitchen, full bathroom, and two bedrooms (each with a full sized bed). - The third floor of the building is the upstairs of this unit and has the following rooms: one large bedroom with two king beds, one loft area walk-thru room with a full bed, a futon, and a full bathroom located between the large bedroom and the walk-thru room. - Laundry facilities are locate in the basement of the building (shared space with the lower unit) - Both bathrooms have walk-in shower stalls (no bath tub in either) - Unit has it's own private front and back entrances. - There is a small back yard and front porch that are also shared spaces with the lower unit. - Like many Milwaukee homes, there is street parking only, but you should not have a problem finding a spot on the same block, or at the very worst, the next block up. Temporary parking is free for three nights with a visitor parking permit thru the city of Milwaukee website. Guest access Entire upper unit (second and third floor of the building) with separate and secure access in front and back of the home. There is also a shared basement for laundry and a shared back yard and front porch. Other things to note This is an older Milwaukee duplex, built in 1900. As such, the AC for this upper unit is provided by two stand alone portable units (one on each floor), and one window AC unit in the upstairs walk-thru bedroom. To help with this issue, we rent two parking spots in a garage across the street and offer them to our guests at no charge. We recommend carpooling when you can to limit the amount of cars that you have to bring. If you bring more than two cars and need to park on the street, please be advised you may be parking 1-3 blocks away from the house. Weekends and evenings are the most challenging times to find street parking in this neighborhood. SECURITY: To maintain the safety of our guests and integrity of the property, we have a security system which 3 includes outdoor cameras. There are zero cameras inside the home. Doorbell camera and side of house camera will be on during your stay. You have control over backyard camera. NOISE MONITOR: There is a noise monitor located inside the home that measures decibel levels. This device does not record nor does it listen to conversation.
