You will be in walking distance to Franklin street which has tons of antique shops, boutiques and restaurants. Up the stairs on the main level is the gathering space for your group. Large ample windows flood the living space with light, while the large, open floorplan gives everyone space to stretch out. The kitchen has NEW Appliances in fall of 2024 and is fully stocked with all your cooking needs along with a coffee maker and coffee of course! The living room has NEW large, plush couches, a gas fireplace and a 55" Roku TV for your NETFLIX nights. Enjoy the balcony overlooking Lake St. to people watch, or to grill your meal on a gas grill for dinner. Around the bend are Bedroom #2(queen bed) and Bedroom #3. The third bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds(3 single beds and 1 full). You can also find another full bathroom on this level as well as the side-by-side washer & dryer! Up the final set of steps is your full floor primary suite with everything you need. The LARGE primary bedroom has great views during the day, with black out shades so you can sleep in if you so chose. Large, beautifully appointed house within close proximity (5-10 minute walk) to Sheridan Beach, Washington Park Zoo, the marina, nature walking trails, Washington Park fitness and playgrounds. Totally new throughout! New appliances, new baths, outdoor deck, cable/streaming tv, cozy and clean. Every corner of this house was decorated with you and your family in mind. The sisters took their time to make a house a shareable space from our family to yours! The space The work spaces in this house are perfect for remote work or virtual schooling: high speed internet, tv's in every bedroom and living room. There are ample dining spaces and full service kitchen with quartz breakfast counter, garbage disposal, wine fridge, side by side with door ice and dispenser, dishwasher, fully stocked with cooking utensils, all for your dining needs. The jacuzzi tub and separate shower in master bathroom gives families the opportunity to get showered and dressed in turbo speed. Three full ,spacious bathrooms makes the " no lines no wait" adage come to life. From the juliet balcony off master bedroom, the vistas of natures sand dune and local zoo on the hill make this room a guest favorite. Oh, and let's not forget the two bluetooth accessible light fixtures that allow you to play your playlists on a robust speaker system. Little touches designed for a big, memorable "family" trip. Family is in quotes because family is who you make it. Guest access There is one parking space in back of the property and ample street parking on the side of the house. There is no parking on the opposite side of the street as it would impede the flow of traffic. In walking distance are a local park with a sandy pathway up the dune. Hiking boots are recommended. Children can play on the swings and other playground equipment. Adults and kids can climb the dune and see the lake in a reimagined way. At the top of the dune is a park with informational plaques explaining the natural inhabitants biography. Learn, like we did, who God made our natural neighbors-from the plaque. Be sure to take your camera because you will want to memorialize this picture and share with your friends and family. Two doors down is a neighborhood favorite, Dune Billy's restaurant that has scrumptious food. Mention us (Sister Shores) and they will thank you like they do all their guests! (haha). If you go to the end of the block by Dune Billy's and turn left, you can walk to the local Jamaican restaurant, Cool Runnings (yes like the movie.) They serve the most authentic Jamaican food and the islands' signature drink, Ting, refreshing and delightful as Sheridan Shores. Walk a few more blocks and Michigan City's sky scraping casino, The Blue Chip, will enter your psyche before you enter the building. You say you don't gamble? No problem, they have more than chips at the Blue Chip. Schedule a spa day or enjoy the excellent cuisine at the star rated restaurants inside the casino. Other things to note Before you book with us, examine your plans to ensure Sister Shores-Sheridan Beach is the best environment fit for your getaway. We have a strict NO PARTY POLICY as we are in a family neighborhood with small children on both sides of us that we respect and hope you do as well. The sounds should not seap outside the house so as not disturb sleeping babies. Our towels are ours that we gladly share with you during your stay. However, they should stay, when you leave. If you should happen to have a slip up and break something, we don't bite, just let us know so we can replace it. Keep the doors closed at all times. We get a lot of looky loos on the street that are impressed by the area. We can vouch for our neighbors to be filled with integrity, not the passersbys.

This Victorian mansion was built by Joseph and Victoria Levendusky in 1890 to accommodate their family of 16, as well as household servants. Joseph was a railroad employee and this home was the first built in the current area of Michigan City. The space The home was lovingly restored by the current owners in 2022 with attention to preserving historic details while updating it with modern amenities. Most of the rooms include antique furnishings, vintage artworks, and restored pieces. The finishes are top of the line (dual massaging showers, luxurious memory foam mattresses, 600 thread count sheets, marble floors and countertops, copper sinks, etc.). It perfectly balances the history of the home while maintaining its unique character and opulence in the modern day. Guest access The home is set up for daily living! So if you want to prepare a meal- the pots and pans are there, and lovely serving platters and bowls are in the buffet cabinet in the dining room. If you want to go to the beach- you can find complimentary beach toys, wagon, cooler, floats and more in the garage (just please return the ice packs to the freezer so the next guest can enjoy them as well)! If you would like to relax in a bubble bath with a book- plenty of bath salts, soaks and books to choose from. If you would like to read a book or play a game with your friends and family- games and books for all ages are throughout the home. We also ensure that you have coffee, sugar, and creamer upon your arrival so you can enjoy the next morning without rushing to the grocery store the day of your arrival! There's also an Xbox One and triple bunk bed on the first floor, with tons of kid's movies and toys that will keep them entertained for hours! This home can hold as many as 20 guests! The space Although you may want to spend most of your time at the beach, the home has some great features for you to enjoy as well. Freshly painted interior and new furnishings just added for 2018 plus, keyless entry installed, no more keys at the beach! Entering the home you are on the ground level. There is a king bedroom with work desk and sleeper sofa, a full bathroom and utility room with full size washer and dryer. There is also a triple bunk bed, XBox One, and a 65" Sony 4K UHD TV! A second bedroom on the first floor has two beds, along with a 49" 4K UHD TV! Privacy at it's finest! Up the stairs to the second level you have a powder room and the open concept kitchen, living and dining room. This space is furnished with 85" 4K Ultra HD TV with surround sound and blu-ray player, a sectional sofa that when pushed together makes a big size bed and a dining table with 12 chairs. Access to the 2nd level deck expands your living space even further. Deck includes Weber gas grill, outdoor seating and Sonos sound system and a picnic table for outdoor meals. Kitchen is stocked with the necessary items to prepare and serve meals including a and juicer. The 3rd level has a full bathroom and a bedroom with a Queen bed complete with 49" 4k Ultra HD TV with surround sound and blu-ray player plus a dart board and a mini fridge. Add the access to the top deck, this room perhaps the most fun of them all. The 2nd bedroom on this level offers a pyramid bunk bed with a full sized on the bottom and a twin size bed top. There are 3 blow up mattresses stored in the closet and extra pillows and blankets that may be used as needed. You will also find a 6 person tent, kids can camp in the yard to add to the fun! There is off-street parking for 4 cars. Please carpool if needed as parking can be hard to find in the summer so this alone is a great feature.
