The “Funk House” has a terrific area that has 270-degree views and windows overlooking the vast nature with lots of Live Oak trees in the back yard, seasonal creek and deer trails. In this room you have a bank shuffleboard table, a Concept 2 rowing machine, highboy table seating, yoga matts, free weights, rollers, 65” HD Smart TV, Sonos speaker, and large washer/dryer. Because it’s so unique, we decided to call it the “Funk House” and know you will love it! The land is native to a family of 12 deer that roam the property often and encouraged to eat from our nearby deer feeder (see pictures of the deer family). You may encounter critters, crawlers, snakes, fire ants, chiggers, etc. as they are all a part of the natural beauty of the area. We ask that guests remain vigilant and watch your step. Going barefoot is strongly not recommended. Although we have regular pest control maintenance, there may be rare times when a few are able to sneak in. --WELL WATER-- The water for this home is supplied by a well, which can occasionally create an unfamiliar smell/taste. We have installed water softeners and filters to help minimize this issue. A reverse osmosis system has been installed, however for those more sensitive should consider bringing drinking water for their stay. Guest access Guests will be able to use the main house + pool house. Please note, guests and their party will be the only ones occupying the property during their stay and will have complete privacy of the entire grounds of the property. This unique + stylish modern farmhouse has you living in the lap of luxury! Breeze out of your designer bedroom (one of TWO primary suites!) into your gorgeous bathroom, then wander out to one of TWO decked out kitchens for coffee or tea, cook a few eggs from the chicken coop just on the other side of the driveway, then meander outside for a splash in the pool to stretch your legs or stroll the property on the walking trails! Close to wineries, wedding venues, and hill country beauty/adventures! Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and property. There are ample parking spots, all of which are on the gravel driveway. The chicken coup is also often full of fresh eggs, so help yourself. Other things to note The pool isn't heated, though it stays plenty warm most of the year. The blue cover does keep it warmer in the months just before and after the summer, but we don’t know about the colder months. And it would depend on if it’s a sunny day and probably only usable in the mid to late afternoon after the sun has heated it up with the cover on it for a good part of the day.

Our property is a modest 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home on the very quietn and private Twin Oaks property (there are 2 other houses)! This spacious quiet and private country home is a good place for large families or groups, making it the ideal destination for wedding gatherings, family get-togethers. However, this place is NOT for you if you are looking a place to meet all your enternaining need, or you are looking for 5 star hotel experience. 35 minutes from Down Town Austin. The space The main level of our home features a quaint entry lounge area, a grand living room with soaring ceilings and a pullout double bed, a fireplace, and comfortable seating around the TV. On the main / downstairs level, you'll also find 3 bedrooms, all with king-sized beds. 1 of the bedrooms has its own private bathroom while the other 2 bedrooms share a a full bathroom. There is also a half bathroom located near the laundry room. Walking upstairs, you'll find a loft with a twin bunkbed and a twin bed with a pullout twin (4 twins total). Next to the loft area is the master suite which has 2 queen-sized beds, a tv, and an en-suite bathroom featuring a walk-in standing shower and dual vanities. Guest access There are a few signs that show the restricted areas (for example the chicken coop is off limits), but you generally have access to the entire Twin Oaks property. While the backyard is just for your use, you may be sharing other parts of the property with guests in the other two houses. Other things to note There are signs to direct which house is which on the property. Please let us know if you need early check-in or late check-out. If there are day guests not staying the night, please let us know in advance as well! When you leave, please leave the linens the way it is.

The space The home is situated on 25 acres where you can hike and take in the beauty the hill country has to offer. Our animals are super friendly and love to interact with our guests. We are within driving distance of Austin (45 mins to downtown), and within 10-20 minutes of countless wineries and breweries. If you prefer boutique and town square shopping, Wimberley Town Square is a mere 25 minutes away. We offer keypad entry, so you can come and go as needed without having to worry about keys. The Retreat sleeps up to 23 and is spacious with a large entertaining area and 5 private bedrooms and 2 bedrooms that can be private or shared. We love intimate weddings! We are also a great home base for family and friends if wedding is at a larger nearby venue. The space The property features a large, resort style swimming pool, a fire pit and an over-sized hot tub large enough seat 10 people. Fun and games include washers, ping-pong, board games and a tire swing. At dusk and dawn it's nice to sit on the porch and watch the deer. Houses are approx 100 yards apart and both have amazing views and direct access to the Blanco River. The property gently rolls down into the river with river rock beach access to the river - water level dependent on rainfall. The two kitchens are new with all major appliances and fully stocked with dishes, silverware, bar-ware and serve-ware. Each house has two smart TVs and the lodge has Direct TV.
