The space Located in the mountains of Missoula at the end of a cul-de-sac, this quiet oasis borders wilderness area (protected by an environmental easement) where you're likely to see local wildlife, such as birds (the "Meadowlark," after which the property is named, is Montana's state bird and can be heard singing throughout the day), deer, elk, raccoons, and maybe even a black bear. Please note that access to the main level requires the use of stairs, but with access to the double garage, you can avoid climbing the exterior stairs. Plus, the view from the living room is well worth the ascent! All bedrooms except one are on the main/upper level, with one bedroom & bathroom, as well as laundry services, downstairs. The Master has a queen bed, its own bathroom, tons of closet space, and private deck access. This is a 1930's Victorian home with plenty of space for the whole family! Fabulous lower Rattlesnake location! Just a short walk away to Mt. Jumbo trailhead, Greenough Park, & Waterworks trail system. Easy 10 min walk to Washington Grizzly Stadium and University of Montana. The immediately adjacent property ("Greenough Loft") is also listed on airbnb if additional space is needed. The space There are four bedrooms (two downstairs and two upstairs) and ONE full bath and one half bath. The half bath is located upstairs. The primary bedroom downstairs has direct access to the backyard. The kitchen and adjacent dining room have plenty of space for cooking and enjoying a meal together. Guest access The backyard + garden is the dedicated outdoor space for this home. The tenants in the adjacent home may pass through the backyard to access the alleyway with recycling and garbage. The main driveway is NOT available for parking (as it is for the tenants in the small adjacent property). There is a single parallel space in the alleyway for your use, and ample free street parking within 1-2 blocks of the home. Other things to note Limitations of home -- This is an older home. Our home away from home has a king bed in the upstairs master bedroom, a queen bed and two small children's sleeping pads in the elevated children's nook off the other upstairs bedroom, a queen bed in the downstairs bedroom, and a fold-out couch in the downstairs family room (privacy curtain slides across door). Private one-car off-street parking included, although nearby on-street parking is generally easy to find. Ductless AC is in every bedroom and in both common rooms. Both TVs are smart TVs, with internet-streaming services included, but no cable. We include Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, Disney, and Apple TV subscription services. Downtown Missoula - Modern Luxury

The Hughes Mansion is Airbnb and historical museum in one of the oldest houses in Missoula. It has 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room, a dining room and kitchen, a front porch with a grill, a fenced garden, a large yard, and a long driveway. It is a 5-minute walk to Greenough Park, a natural park along Rattlesnake Creek and trails to Mount Jumbo, one block from a playground and tennis and basketball courts, a 10-minute walk from the University area and the downtown restaurants and shops. The space All of the bedrooms and bathroom are on the main floor of the house. Guest access There is a large front porch with a grill, a fenced yard south of the house with aspens and garden for hanging out and for dogs to sniff, and there's a grassy lot north of the property for gatherings. The Trailhead

This charming 1902 Queen Anne home is perfect for a getaway with family or friends, a romantic trip, or whatever suits your travel needs. Ideally located, it's just a five minute walk to downtown and fifteen to the University—both of which can be accessed via the bikepath three blocks away. Five minute walk to the historic “hip strip” where you’ll find restaurants, cafés, breweries, and shopping. Two major bus lines (free in Missoula!) are both within two blocks. Grocery store one block away. The space Experience the charm of this historic home built during the height of the roaring 20’s. As you walk up the stairs and into the hallway of this private second story apartment, you’ll notice the original light fixtures, door knobs, and ornate details of the time. Upon entering the living room, you will experience the high ceilings, hardwood flooring, and abundant natural light while surrounded by mature Norway maple trees that line the boulevard. Note: stairs leading to the apartment are somewhat steep but have handrails on each side. Use caution! The apartment has three bedrooms, each of similar size, with the southern-most a couple feet larger and closer to the full bathroom. The hardwood flooring and high ceilings continue into the bedrooms, which make the rooms feel even more spacious. Each bedroom comes with new and comfortable queen beds, closets, windows, night stands, reading lamps, chairs, mirrors, and other pieces of furniture and decor that aim to match the era’s art nouveau transition to art deco. The newly renovated bathroom is equipped with a nice, high pressure shower with lots of hot water. The new linoleum floor and updated sink and shower add a nice touch to the bathroom. The living room and dining room are where everyone can centrally convene. Equipped with a dining table, vintage rugs, couches, chairs, and other decor, the living and dining rooms’ ambience makes for a variety of experiences. Whether it’s a romantic date, a game nights with friends, dinner with family, or drinks before going out, the living and dining room can accommodate any plan. The grey couch also folds out into a comfortable queen-sized blow up mattress that also has springs (comfortable and hard to find). If additional bedding is needed, a rollaway twin bed could also be slept on in this part of the space. Lastly, the kitchen is complete with a stove, oven, full refrigerator, and dishwasher (temporarily decommissioned). There is nice lighting in the kitchen to set the vibe while enjoying a coffee at the bar (seats 3). Bonus: there is also a 1/2 bath “water closet” across from the first room near the stairs.
