The living area is perfect for entertaining family and friends and offers great views of the river and passing ships. The home is not on the water but the community has an area for swimming for residents. There is a pavilion on the river where you can go to see the passing ships & the beautiful sunsets. The space The 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths are nicely decorated with an open floor plan so guests can interact in comfort. The bedrooms are on the 2nd floor and the open living room, kitchen and dining room are on the top floor. Views of passing ships can be seen from the living room and the 2 decks. Guests need to be able to navigate stairs. Guest access You will have access to the entire home, as well as the laundry room on the lower level. Ample parking on the grass is always available. The garage will be locked. Other things to note Take a walk around the community, view the river from the Point Vivian Dock House and watch as boats and ships pass by in the channel. Point Vivian is located in The Narrows, so you will get the closest views of the ships from land! The village of A-Bay is a short walk, the quaint town of Clayton is a 15 minute drive and Cape Vincent and Tibbits point lighthouse is a 40 minute drive for a beautiful sunset where the Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence meet. The space This listing is one of two units available at the same address. Both units are on the second floor. They are connected by a lockable hallway which provide privacy and security. They can also be opened to accommodate additional family members. Consider both the 1 bedroom/1 bath and the 2 bedroom/2 bath for larger groups. Along with a King bed in both bedrooms there is also a futon, which converts to a single bed. The upstairs Loft features 2 Full size futons. Guest access The 2 bedroom is the entire second floor of the house (the 1br is above the garage). Each unit has a private entrance. Other things to note Our HOT water becomes EXTREMELY HOT! The space Canoe and kayak on site. 4 acres of space to explore and over 400' of waterfront is yours to enjoy. Amazing views of the St. Lawrence River await. You won't believe how pretty the sunrises are here. Guest access This cottage is on an island. You will need to arrange to bring a boat for your use or take a water-taxi to get to the cottage from the mainland. Guests have full use of the cottage, bunky, provided water craft (canoe, kayak), and property. There is a small locked storage shed and one locked closet, used by the hosts for storage of essential items. Other things to note Most guests who do not have their own watercraft use Andres Water Taxi service to get to the island, Tar Island. It is recommended that you arrange your water taxi booking at least the day before your trip to or from the island to ensure that you have a convenient time for your transport.

I recently purchased this cottage and have been working on renovating it so that I can offer it as a place to stay for those that visit our area. We live in one of the most beautiful areas on the St. Lawrence River. The cottage is located in Goosebay near Alexandria Bay, NY right on the St. Lawrence River. The views of the river along with the sunsets are fantastic. Alexandria Bay and Clayton offers several restaurants, shopping and boat tours. You can also rent a boat or bring your own. The space The cottage offers 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a full kitchen and living room. Three bedrooms offer queen size beds and one bedroom offers a bunk bed and a daybed with a trundle. One bathroom is a tub shower with two sinks and the other bathroom offers a large shower and one sink. You can enjoy looking at the River on the large deck or cooking out with the grill and spend time fishing off of the docks. There is a large sectional couch in the living room with a TV that offers Netflix and Disney+ for your viewing needs. You will also have access to internet if needed. The service is not great in our area so we apologize if you have any issues. Guest access Guests have access to all rooms except the garage and a small closet in the hallway. We ask that you respect our privacy and personal items. Other things to note Due to Covid we DO NOT provide sheets, bedding and towels so please be sure to bring these items with you. We do however have pillows and mattress covers on each bed. We apologize if this is an inconvenience but we feel it is necessary at this time.
