Welcome to our home! While we’re in Vermont for the summer, we’re opening up our space for guests to enjoy. We’re less than 10 minutes from downtown Cary and close to the airport and major highways, making it easy to explore the area during your stay. The space While this is our home, we’ve removed most of our personal décor and left behind the essentials so you’ll be fully equipped for a comfortable stay. Here's some more information about the space: Well-Equipped Kitchen We’ve got all the essentials—pots, pans, baking sheets, cooking utensils, and more. Plus, a few handy extras like a slow cooker, rice maker, cast iron pan, and even a pizza cutter to make home cooking easy and enjoyable. The kitchen table comfortably fits six people. Coffee Station Start your day right with our drip coffee maker, coffee grounds, and sugar. We also have tea bags and an electric hot water kettle. Bedrooms Both bedrooms have queen beds with comfy linens, closet space, and dressers. One includes an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The Office We have a dedicated office-space with a nice comfy chair. In addition, there is a full-sized futon available in this room if you need an extra place to sleep. Living Area Kick back on the reclining sofas and enjoy streaming on our Smart TV. We’ve got games like Chess, Apples to Apples, and The Game of Things. Four-Season Room / Porch Our favorite space to relax! Close the glass on cool nights or open it up for a screened-in porch experience. There's even a TV out here too. The Great Outdoors Enjoy the peaceful backyard with mature trees and birdsong. There’s a deck with a large dining table, a grill, and a fire pit with plenty of seating. The fenced yard is perfect for pups—plus there’s a little walking trail in the back. Pets We’re pet-friendly! Our dog is up in Vermont with us for the summer, but left behind bowls and his approval to share the space. Amenities We provide fresh linens and towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You’ll also find a hair dryer, ironing board, and basic kitchen staples like olive oil, salt, pepper, and spices. Firewood is stocked out back. We do provide a propane tank for the grill but don’t monitor the levels—some guests pay it forward, others enjoy the benefit! There is a Pack and Play in the bedroom closet. Check in and check out times can be flexible, depending upon whether or not we have guests scheduled immediately before or after your visit. Contact us if you are interested in early check in or late check out. Please note that the king size bedroom is open to the living area and kitchen, in a studio suite style layout. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher or garbage disposer, but is fully stocked with everything you might need to cook and entertain. Our home is on the main two lane road which leads straight into historic downtown Apex. We do not live in this house, so guests will have the full home to themselves, but we are often on the property working in our attached office and the other buildings, or outside working on the farm. Guests are welcome to enjoy the full outdoor property, including helping themselves to a few fresh raspberries, blueberries or blackberries, when in season. Additional berries and produce is available at our farm stand and country store. As mentioned, we will sometimes be at the property to work in our office, the separate buildings on the property or to pick up or drop off items from the storage room. This should not disturb our guests at all, and we will not be entering our guest's living space in the home at any time. The house is on well water that is tested regularly. There is filtered water at the sink, if you prefer.

The space Though you can spend all your time in downtown Cary, never getting in a car (which we LOVE to do!)— you may want to venture and explore surrounding areas. We are centrally located in the Triangle: less than 15 min to RDU airport, USA Baseball Complex, PNC Arena, RTP, NC State University, State Fairgrounds (amazing weekend flea market!), SAS, Fenton (a shopping, dining and live entertainment must do!) and less than 20 min to North Hills (another shopping, dining, and live entertainment district) or downtown Raleigh. For outdoor enthusiasts less than 15 min to Bond Park, Hemlock Bluffs, Umstead State Park, Lake Crabtree, JC Raulston Arboretum, Lake Johnson Park and more! Our space is a quaint 973 sq ft, end unit townhome, with two floors. Upstairs are two bedrooms with king size beds, sharing a newly renovated bathroom. Dogs must be crate trained and crated when not supervised. Being in a townhome, there is a shared wall with a family nextdoor that has small children. We ask that you be respectful and if your dog is a chronic barker, this may not be the space for you. There are plenty of natural areas to walk your dog; even a small park behind our unit to enjoy. We ask that you cleanup after your pet. For your convenience we supply pet waste bags. There are two dedicated parking spaces. Max number of cars is two. The space Private two bed/two bath one-story home (note: has 2+ stairs to get into the doors) with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, office, and laundry room. Guest access In addition to the home, guests are free to enjoy the backyard area, but note that it is a shared space. Please be respectful to the neighbors and hosts by keeping noise level down and leaving the area as tidy as you found it. The designated guest parking spaces are (1) in the carport and (2) the left half of the parking area between the house and the garage. See diagram.
