The space The lake house is located on a quiet cove, and offers lake views. Guests have access to the lake community shared amenities, including swimming pools (~May to ~early-September - no life guard), a marina, a sand beach, tennis courts, bocce ball courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, a baseball/softball field, a golf driving range, playgrounds, a dog park, and a doggy beach. We invite guests to bring their gear (i.e. balls, clubs, rackets, etc.). House exclusive amenities include 6 single kayaks, 1 tandem kayak (for 2 people), a canoe (for 2 people), adult life jackets, and paddles that guests can find on the boat rack on the beach, and that guests can use. Fishing is allowed on the lake (catch and release). The house has a hot tub that offers privacy and lake views. You'll also be able to enjoy a fire pit in comfortable chairs on the private beach of the house. Babies are welcome! The lake house has a high chair, a pack&go play yard with changing station and bassinet, a top-of-the-stairs gate, and a motorized travel rocking chair. Dogs (not cats due to host's severe cat allergies) are welcome too, there are 2 sets of bowls, 3 dog beds and 2 crates (different sizes). The main/first floor has a fully stocked kitchen that opens not only onto the indoor dining and living areas, but also onto outdoor grilling, dining and living. The interior dining table seats 10 adults, in an open space where the kitchen, a living room, and the wood burning stove are located. The living room also seats 10 adults. The deck is private, large, surrounded by trees, and offers great lake views; it has two sectional sofas, a dining set, and a Weber grill. This floor also has one bedroom (queen) with a large desk, and a full bathroom. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms (king, queen, 2 twin XL), and a full bathroom. One of the bedroom (king) has a large solid wood desk that can host two work stations, it has a printer/scanner/copier, and a computer monitor. It also has great lake views to enjoy both from its private balcony, and from the king size bed. The other two bedrooms on that floor have lake views, both of them have desks. The lower floor hosts a cocktail and TV lounge, which opens to a paved covered patio where the hot tub is located, and to the stairs leading to the private beach, to the lake-side deck, to the kayaks marina, to a fire pit located on the private beach, and to the private dock on the lake. The lounge is also where you'll enjoy movie nights with a 65" smart TV set (with Apple TV) and a fully equipped wet bar (beverage refrigerator, ice machine, quiet dishwasher (40dB), in-wall espresso coffee maker, sink, cocktail set). This floor hosts a bedroom suite with a king size bed, a desk, and an en-suite full bathroom. Finally, this floor is where the laundry room is located, with a second full capacity refrigerator/freezer (in addition to the kitchen's), two washers, and two dryers. Guest access Guests can access the adjacent lots: one is a natural reserve on the west side, the other one is a forrest part of the property on the East side of the house. Guests can access the entire property, except the garage, a small storage room in the basement, and a closet on the second floor where we keep our personal belongings. Quiet, spacious, lovingly restored Victorian located in the historic Hudson River town of Athens. Four bedrooms, two baths, two dedicated work spaces, full country kitchen, back deck and front porch. Incredible backyard for hanging out and socializing. Two blocks from historic waterfront and dining. The space This lovingly restored Victorian is located in the historic Hudson River town of Athens. It was built in the late 1800s, added onto in the 1920s, and fully renovated in 2004. The renovations were done by master builder Philip Marshall, and include the downstairs Venetian plaster bathroom (w/ clawfoot tub) and country kitchen (with handmade sycamore cabinets and wide-board pine flooring). We tried to keep as much of the original feel of the house as possible, while modernizing it by adding windows to the dining room and double glass doors to the kitchen to let in light from the back deck. It now has high-speed internet throughout and a flatscreen television in a separate tv room. We added two woodstoves (kitchen and living room) which make the house very cozy in the winter months. There are four private bedrooms in the house—one downstairs off the living room(full-sized bed); and three upstairs. Upstairs, the large master bedroom (king-sized bed) has a dedicated workspace in an adjacent room. Also upstairs, over the kitchen, overlooking the backyard, is another dedicated workspace, which can double as a private bedroom (fold-out futon couch and/or airbed)--it has windows on three sides, and a cathedral ceiling with a skylight. The fourth bedroom (full-sized bed) is upstairs off the TV room. The backyard is fenced in, with many plants blooming throughout the spring and summer, and two small vegetable gardens—tomatoes, basil, kale. Feel free to harvest whatever looks ripe. There is also a propane grill off the two back decks, a table for outdoor dining, a fire pit, and a hammock. The town of Athens is a classic Hudson River town, at the foot of the Catskills, across the river from the town of Hudson (ferry service runs on Friday and Saturday evenings from Memorial Day through Labor Day). Visit the Town Hall to see a proposed map from the 1860s when it was vying to be the capitol of New York State. Now it boasts a brew pub (Crossroads), a fine restaurant (The Stewart House), and an excellent sandwich shop (The Athens Rooster). The town was featured in the Tom Cruise / Stephen Spielberg film The War of the World (it’s the scene where the flaming train pulls into the station). There are many places to visit nearby—swimming holes and farm stands (Black Horse Farm) in the summer; spectacular foliage in the fall; ski resorts (Hunter, Catamount) in the winter; hikes in the Catskills in the spring. Please note: this is not a party house. We live in a small, quiet town, with neighbors on either side. If you are looking for a place to create, to explore, to relax, this is a perfect house. An outdoor kitchen will be avaiable as well as the outdoor Gazebo/bar, once completed. Welcome to the beautiful village of Catskill! You will be staying in our charming home from 1890 that is fully updated. This house has three bedrooms that each have their own brand new heating and air conditioning controls. The first floor is an open concept with a large living room, dining space and full kitchen with an island for additional seating. Outside, we have a large deck with a BBQ and a fire pit area with Adirondack chairs in addition to a partially fenced in yard. The space You will really enjoy the peaceful and friendly atmosphere of our Catskill home. We often stay here and take pride in offering it as a space for guests and wanted to make sure we created an environment that feels comfortable for everyone. Catskill is an up and coming town that is centrally located to great bars, restaurants, hiking, skiing/snowboarding and water sports. On the first floor, there is a large couch and 75 inch TV. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and serving ware in addition to a large dining room table that seats 8. The second floor is where the bedrooms are located. In the first bedroom, you will find a king sized bed with an additional alcove area that we use as a reading nook or workspace. In the second bedroom, you will find a queen sized bed and in the third bedroom, you will find one full sized bed and two twin beds. Want to enjoy the outdoor space? We have a large deck that has a gas powered heater as well as a fire pit area in the yard, a BBQ and seating for 6. If you are bringing along your pup, we have a partially fenced in yard for them to enjoy! Guest access You will have access to the entire house except the basement and first floor closet (used for cleaning and storage) Other things to note Before you leave, we kindly ask that you leave any used towels on the middle of the bathroom floors and used beds unmade for cleaning.

Come visit our peaceful oasis in beautiful Catskill, just a two hour drive from NYC! Our charming Victorian farmhouse has been fully renovated with loving care. It is nestled upon a hill, protected by mature trees in a quiet, sunny, lush woodland setting and is just steps from Catskill creek. Enjoy peaceful seclusion with plenty of space for gathering with friends both indoors and out. The vibrant, artistic town of Catskill is just a short walk away. The space Our home features plenty of light and spaciousness while also feeling incredibly warm and cozy. It comfortably sleeps eight adults in three bedrooms with plenty of choices for arrangement. The common areas include a large living room connected to a family room with a wide screen tv and full stereo. We have placed plenty of lighting to inspire whatever ambient mood you prefer. The gas fireplace warms the space wonderfully. The rooms can be cooled with either ceiling fans or super quiet AC units. Large windows bring the outside in from every seat in the home so you can enjoy the beautiful nature and trees surrounding the property. Wake up listening to the sounds of birds. Sit by the fire pit in the summer and take in the starry night skies. Watch the sunset from the kitchen sunroom or the dining room's furnished outdoor deck in the evenings. Our eat-in kitchen is fully stocked with everything including spices, appliances, cooking utensils and serving ware. Host a big family dinner in the large, sun drenched dining room. Across the street there are two entrances to the Catskill Creek which is also a part of our property. Pick up a fishing license and take your fishing pole! On a hot summer day, swimming is allowed at your own risk. Four acres of private property surrounds the house. An additional four acres extends along the creek. The house has plenty of room to spread out and play frisbee, horseshoes or volleyball on the grass. Enjoy a drink and some food on the furnished deck or out by the fire pit. We keep a few adult bikes in the barn for cruising around town. You are welcome to use these at your own risk or you may like to rent a bike from the bike shop on Main Street (an easy 20 minute walk from our house). ​​There is a secondary unit attached to the house on the second floor with its own private entrance which may be occupied by another tenant. The rest of the main house has three separate entrances of its own and is privately occupied by our airbnb guests. The only outside space a guest suite tenant would share with guests of the main house is the parking space. All other property amenities included in the grounds are solely accessed by the guests of the main house. We adore the quaint little town of Catskill too! Our property is conveniently located less than a mile away from town where there are plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and galleries to keep you busy all weekend. Take a stroll over the footbridge and you will be there. There is also plenty of hiking in the region where wildlife, waterfalls and flora abound. Local seasonal festivals and events are also worth looking into just in case something coincides with your stay. Don't forget to check out neighboring towns, many just a hop and a skip away. Hudson, Leeds, Athens, Saugerties, and Woodstock are a few of our favorites. We love to visit the house when we can as well and never feel three short days is enough to do all the things we want to do! You may want to plan to return soon. We hope you do! Guest access You have private access to the home from three entrances. The front of the house has a hammock swinging between the trees. The side of the house has a furnished deck with a grill. The back of the house has a mudroom where you can put your things if need be. You are welcome to use all of these spaces. You are also welcome to use the four-acre property to play on the grass, sit by the fire pit and take photos. We provide lock access to the center of the barn if you would like to access bikes, to be used at your own discretion. The adjoining rental suite (not open to airbnb guests at this time) is accessed by a potential tenant via a separate outdoor stairway and private entrance. As guests of the larger and entire portion of the main house, you have access to all outdoor areas and do not share any of these (accept for parking spaces) with the guest suite. There are two driveway entrances to the house as the driveway arcs around the back of the house. You may park in the spots near the back where the sunroom is. Other things to note Across the street from the house, you'll find approximately three acres of private property that extend to the scenic shoreline of Catskill Creek. Guests are welcome to explore the area, and you'll see a sign inviting you to visit. Because the land is largely natural and undeveloped, vegetation can grow quickly throughout the season. While we do our best to maintain the path, conditions can vary, so we recommend checking with us before your visit if access to the creek is important to you. During the summer months, the creek is often suitable for swimming, though we encourage guests to do so at their own risk. Water shoes are strongly recommended, and it's a good idea to check local tide conditions before entering the water. The creek is also enjoyed by local anglers and boaters and eventually joins the Hudson River. If the path to the creek is particularly overgrown or wet, we suggest visiting the public wildlife preserve located on the opposite side of the creek, accessible via Snake Road. Maintained by the town, this lovely natural area offers easy walking trails through a rich landscape of native plants, birds, and small wildlife, making it a wonderful spot for a peaceful nature walk.

Each room is also carefully curated with hand-picked vintage items meant for the utmost comfort and style. There are three bedrooms. You can pick from the garden, play in the yard, sit by the fire—rest. Other things to note We are a low-turnover home, in an effort to support the immediate community, and respect the house and its age. Welcome to my home. No place better for a brief city break. Enjoy the vast view of the Berkshires and the Hudson valley. With two bedrooms, each with en suite, and a powder room my home is best suited for two couples or a small family. Also an air mattress that can be set up in the living room for extra guests. Whether you are enjoying a soak in the tub or your morning coffee in the lounge chair you can’t escape my one of a kind view. Other things to note Not recommended for small children.

Modern Sunny Home w/ Vast Views

A modern farmhouse with breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. Situated on a 100-acre working farm, amidst vineyards and fruit orchards, this 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath accommodates 6 guests with the additional pull out queen size bed. Visit Frederic Church’s Olana, one of the historic sites on the Hudson River Skywalk, a walking trail accessible at the end of the farm road. Enjoy award winning local wines just a short walk away, at the Whitecliff Winery tasting room. The space The house is just a short drive to Hudson with its antique shops and trendy restaurants, or a few minutes to Catskill for quaint small town shopping or dinner out. In the evenings, relax on the deck where you can watch ships go by or just enjoy the sunset over the mountains. A 2 mile walk will take you to the historic Thomas Cole house, once home to one of the famous painters from the movement known as the Hudson River School of Painting. This year (2025) celebrates the 200th anniversary of his first trip to Catskill, NY. A 2 mile walk in the opposite direction will take you to the Olana historic site. This was once the home of Frederic Church, yet another painter from the Hudson River School of Painting from the 19th century. His home can be seen on the hilltop to the east, overlooking the River House. Having completed your walking tour, you can relax at the Whitecliff Winery tasting room located just a few hundred feet from the River House. Some additional history: Our property is located about a mile north of where the Beach family once operated the river-crossing Greendale Ferry from about 1853 to 1936. The ferry went from a place known then as Oak Hill Station on the east side to Catskill Creek on the west. Service terminated soon after the Rip Van Winkle Bridge opened in 1935. Charles Beach had previously purchased and operated the famous Catskill Mountain House which was actually visible from our property until 1963 when New York State burned it down. The site of the Mountain House can still be visited at North-South Lake State Park which is about a 20 mile drive. There you can take in the breathtaking view once witnessed by U. S. Grant, Chester Arthur, Teddy Roosevelt, Washington Irving, Frederick Church, and Thomas Cole. Church created a painting in 1848 entitled "Morning, Looking East Over the Hudson Valley from the Catskill Mountains" from that location. The Mountain House itself may be seen in a painting (around 1846) by Thomas Cole appropriately titled "Catskill Mountain House".
