The fully loaded billiard and rec rooms in this lodge, for one thing, are perfect spaces for hours of fun—either on a rainy day or just an afternoon when you don’t want to make the drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. The billiard room has a pool table, arcade game and a flatscreen TV. You can watch the game while you play some pool or arcade games with your buddies. We’ve got TWO levels of decks that run along the back side of the cabin, both open air and enclosed, giving you plenty of space to sit back in a rocking chair with a drink or just get some fresh air and enjoy our direct view onto Smoky Mountain National Park! One of our most popular amenities is the hot tub which you can relax in after the end of the day with other people in your group. Located in a fully screened-in deck, you will NOT have to worry about mosquitos like you would at some other cabins! And more… This cabin also offers a few comforts of home, like access to high-speed GIGABIT wireless internet and a washer/dryer while you’re away. ********************************* KIDS – AMENITIES AND DISCLAIMER Two highchairs and one pack and play are provided in the house for guest use. We can also provide an additional pack and play with at least one week notice. While we do allow children, please note that the house is not “child proofed” and we also have two open staircases. As such, children MUST be supervised by an adult at all times. ********************************* Checkout process Imagine relaxing on one of the back decks with a cup of coffee taking in the lovely views secure in the knowledge that our checkout procedure is super simple and convenient vs. spending the last few hours of your trip doing laundry, sweeping up, washing dishes and taking trash to the city dumpster (not only at the end, but during your trip, yes many property managers force guests to do these things). But not us! During your stay we will come pick up trash (with one days' notice) and take it to the dumpster for you so you’re not wasting precious vacation time with your family and friends acting as a garbage collector. Imagine ending your trip ONLY having to: ⁃ Leave used beds unmade ⁃ Leave used towels in shower/bathtubs ⁃ Turn the temp to 78 in the summer and 68 in the winter and turn off lights ⁃ Make sure you have all your personal belongings ⁃ Lock the doors Easy peasy right? Leave beds and sofabeds unmade , used towels go in main floor bathtub, and possibly some extra bagged trash in the kitchen, we expect the cabin be left the way you found it. A new 70" flat-screen TV is placed above the log beam mantel. ★ KITCHEN ★ Just off the large living room is a spacious kitchen with all modern appliances: microwave, Vitamix Pro 750 blender, KitchenAid assistant, Cuisinart food processor, double toasters, panini grill, waffle maker, double function coffee machine for drip brewing and Keurig pods, Crock-Pot, etc. The kitchen has basic supplies, including spices and multiple sets of salt and pepper grinders. There are plenty of high-quality plates, dishes, cups, and glasses – even for the largest groups. The beautiful flatware is American-designed and American-made. The kitchen has large counters, as well as a work island with a bar and extra seating. Well-lit and with a practical floor plan for preparing meals and cleaning up, the kitchen is so beautiful you will really enjoy the time you spend there. A second fridge is located downstairs. ★ DINING AREA ★ Adjacent to the kitchen and through the beautifully carved log arch is a large dining area with customizable seating: 10 at one long table, two tables that can seat four each, and five stools at the kitchen island for a total seating capacity of 23 altogether in one room. ★ MAIN FLOOR DECKS ★ There are two large, covered decks just off the kitchen, on either side of the large dining area. One has a large commercial-grade 5-burner Broil King Regal 520 gas grill with plenty of space for meal preparers. The other deck, also covered, has outdoor tables and chairs for those who would like to enjoy their meal outdoors gazing at the Smoky Mountains, as well as rockers to sit and relax. ★ MASTER BEDROOM ★ The master bedroom King suite on the main floor enjoys a splendid view of the mountains, beautiful furnishings, a spacious bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, a walk-in shower, a large walk-in closet, and a flat-screen TV. ★ UPSTAIRS LOFT AREA ★ At the top of the grand staircase, you realize anew just how impressive the view is from your cabin. The loft area is well-appointed and designed for fun and relaxation. You can watch TV, revel in the spectacular beauty out the windows, recline on the comfy couches (which also offer extra sleeping), or join in a game of pool on the solid wood pool table. ★ UPSTAIRS BEDROOMS ★ Upstairs and to the right are two King bedrooms with two full bathrooms in the hall. Both bedrooms are completely private, with flat-screen TVs. One room enjoys the view of the mountains, while the other faces the woods at the front of the house. ★ THEATER ROOM ★ The lower level houses the theater room. Plenty of seating on sofas and comfy recliners so everyone can see the big screen. New 82" flat-screen TV, 290+ satellite channels, Bluray/DVD player, and a selection of DVDs with our favorite movies. There is also a wet bar with a fridge with an ice maker and microwave for preparing movie snacks and drinks. Window coverings provide darkness for that matinee showing. An Xbox One X with four controllers and a good selection of sports, party, and family games allow for entertainment for everyone. There are also two multi-game arcade machines (placed in the laundry room so they won’t disturb those watching TV) that will provide hours of enjoyment for all players. If needing additional sleeping space, two of the sofas convert to queen beds. ★ LOWER DECK ★ The lower deck is home to an eight-person hot tub with an amazing view of the mountains. What an incredible spot for relaxing with friends or family in your own private tub. The covered deck is optimal for enjoying the hot tub no matter what kind of weather. There is also a wrought iron table with seating for 6. Fabulous outdoor living area. ★ THREE DOWNSTAIRS BEDROOMS ★ On one side of the theater room is a master king suite that has a private ensuite bath with a shower tub, a large walk-in closet, and a flat-screen TV. On the other side of the theater room are two more bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen-size bed with a twin-over-queen bunk bed and a private ensuite shower bath, ideal for a family with two or three children or just a couple. Across the hall is another bedroom with a queen-size bed and twin-over-queen bunk bed with a full-size hall bathroom with a tub shower. ★ LAUNDRY ROOM ★ There is a large laundry room with a commercial-grade washer, dryer, and ironing board for your convenience. ★ THE YARD ★ The large backyard with a lawn hosts a beautiful, custom-built wood fire pit for hours of enjoying just sitting and gazing into the fire. Or maybe your group would like to roast hot dogs and then make smores. We even have pie irons made out of cast iron that you can use to cook directly in the firepit. We have prepared a walking trail down to our mountain stream, where you will find Adirondack chairs to let you sit in the middle of the serene nature and listen to the soothing sound of running water. ★ THE AREA ★ While we are convinced that you won't want to leave the lodge, it is just a short drive away from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Smoky Mountain National Park. The Greenbrier section of the Smoky Mountain National Park is just four miles away. This is a lesser-known entrance with many beautiful trails, plenty of parking, a picnic area, a playground, and access to the Pigeon River throughout. Ramsey Cascades is a favorite amongst hikers. If you would like a workout, just seven miles from this cabin is the beautiful Gatlinburg Community Center – a complex with an indoor swimming pool, basketball court, ping pong, bowling alley, weight room, and showers, with very reasonable fees for access. Also, only five miles away is Mills Park, with a playground for the children and covered picnic tables for your get-togethers. Guest access ✤ You are renting the entire home and will have access to all amenities of the property, including the hot tub and yard and all the games and entertainment at the lodge. ✤ Entry is via a smart keypad. The code will be sent via email a week before check-in. ▲ While the road to the cabin is relatively wide and gently winding, it is a mountain road, and we recommend first arriving during daylight for the best visibility. ❆ For bookings in winter time, you should expect to encounter adverse weather conditions (snow, ice, etc) and slippery roads. If there are no damages or excessive cleaning needed, the hold is released after your stay. During snow or ice, suitable tires, good traction, or a four-wheel-drive vehicle may be necessary. Wildlife Black bears and other wildlife live throughout the Smoky Mountains and are occasionally seen near the community. Sightings are never guaranteed. Guests must keep doors locked, supervise children, remove food from vehicles and decks, secure all trash, and never approach or feed wildlife. Other things to note Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and checkout is at 10:00 a.m. The primary booking guest must be at least 25 and remain at the cabin throughout the reservation. The maximum occupancy is 16 registered guests. No parties, events, smoking, or vaping are permitted. The cabin is located in a mountain community with inclined roads and a steep driveway. Guests should follow the recommended route included with the arrival instructions. Exterior security cameras monitor the front entrance, driveway, and parking area. There are no indoor cameras. Bears, insects, ladybugs, and other wildlife are part of the mountain environment. Please keep doors closed, secure food and trash, and supervise children. Wi-Fi is provided, but temporary mountain-area service interruptions can occur. Guests needing uninterrupted internet for work should bring a backup hotspot. The living-room gas fireplace operates seasonally. The lower-level fireplace is decorative and is not operational. Dogs require prior approval and payment of the applicable pet fee. Our driveway is paved, and steep, butnot windy or "cliffy" at all. We recommend a 4WD vehicle, though we do it regularly in a Honda Civic, and most of our neighbors get around in golf carts. If you're dreaming of wide, flat, paved roads, this is not the cabin for you. In Winter the road can get covered in snow. Please get Travel Insurance if traveling in Winter months! Other things to note Some Things To Note: ►Pets: Two pet maximum. $150.00 per pet fee. Only dogs allowed, no other pets. Absolutely no puppies. Dogs must be crated if unattended in the cabin. Guests are required to sign the pet addendum and assume financial responsibility for any additional damage due to pets including but not limited to cleaning, repair and replacement due to scratching, peeing or excrement in the cabin etc. Any violation of these rules are grounds for eviction and loss of security deposit. Any questions, please reach out before booking. ► Service Animals- For service animals, we use the FAA service animal form for verification. Animals may not be left unattended in the home unless crated. ► View: Amazing views. In the fall, it is an explosion of colors and you can see them all as far as the eye can see. In the summer, the leaves sway around the cabin, and far away across the mountains. In the winter you can see more deeply into the forests around us. ► Roof: The roof is metal with no attic. If a squirrel crawls on the roof or if it is raining, you will hear it, no need to be alarmed. ► Bugs: While we have a regular pest control program the cabin is in an area that can have some pests(insects). This is the forest, and while the trees sit back from the house quite a bit, nature is filled with creatures. It is possible to get 4-6-8 legged or winged visitors both outside and inside. This cannot be 100% prevented. *We do not refund for issues with bugs or forest creatures.* ► Animals: There are bears, coyotes, deer, squirrels, owls and other animals in the area, & often on the property. Be still and you might see them. When staying at the cabin, NEVER leave food items in the vehicles, NEVER leave food, leftovers, or trash outside. Trash should be bagged & locked in bear-resistant trash containers (provided). ► Security Camera: There are security cameras on the front porch, and over the entrances for everyone’s protection- all pointed away from the cabin itself. The house is often unoccupied between guests. Touching or tampering with the cameras is a violation of your rental agreement. If you touch or tamper with the cameras, you will be asked to leave the property immediately. ► Excessive cleaning charge - $300 Your cleaning fee assumes you have followed the check-out instructions. Trash is bagged, pots and pans are washed & returned & dishes are washed in dishwasher. Grill was cared for during stay and is reasonably clean. The house has been used, but there is no damage or extensive cleaning required to prepare for the next guest. If this is not the case and there is excessive cleaning required, an additional $300 will be deducted from your security deposit. Please contact me for any questions. Inside you will find over 4000 sq ft of heated/cooled space, tall ceilings, and 5 bedrooms/5 full baths along with a huge game room for all of your entertainment needs. Includes a pool table, foosball table, card table, theatre room, 60 game mulitcade, Jurassic Park arcade game, basketball shooting game, and even your very own sauna! Make sure to relax in the hot tub on the back porch while taking in the majestic mountain views! Other things to note Unlike some nearby cabin "colonies", here you will not even notice that you have neighbors. There is barely a cabin in sight and nothing but woods directly around you. And don't forget the amazing mountain views, accessible from all 3 levels of balconies! Also, it is located in the lovely neighborhood of Cobbly Knob which offers onsite golfing through Bent Creek Golf Course, a pickle ball court, and 3 community pools (2 of which are in the neighborhood and about 1 mile away from the cabin)! So you are not completely off the grid. It's only a 20 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg and 30 minutes to Pigeon Forge/Dollywood. There are plenty of other shops in between including the lovely Arts & Crafts District! The cabin itself is gorgeous and a well-thought out floor plan. The driveway starts off with available parking for 5 cars. The wrap around porch from front to side to back on the main floor provides great curb appeal and outdoor hang out space. The main floor has an open floor plan to the living and dining areas so you can socialize all in one place while prepping, eating, and watching tv. The large dining table and side counter seating is perfect for the whole crew to enjoy a big meal together. Laugh and eat while gazing at the perfect mountain views. You can also grill out on the back deck while being one with nature. Just keep an eye out for Daddy/Momma Bear as they do tend to roam the neighborhood from time to time ;). Guest access Cobbly Nob is a hilly, upscale resort community. We have parking for two cars up a steep drive, and additional parking to the side of the house on level ground. Should you choose to park on level ground, you will have to access the property via steps. Other things to note Cell phone reception is patchy inside the house; calls are made via wi-fi. We have managed to access limited cell phone reception just outside the property but we cannot guarantee this. Other things to note - All guests must be 18+ (children with parents are allowed) - No pets please - We provide a start of toilet paper and paper towels. You may need to buy more. - We maintain monthly pest control measures. Because we are in the mountains you will still see and hear critters, especially ladybugs which are common in properties (dead and alive) - Bears are common in the area. DO NOT feed them, keep all doors locked, lock garbage in the bear bins, do not leave food outside or in your cars. - The fireplace is shut down April 1 to October 1 as with other properties in the area. - We do not send maintenance to the property during your stay. Thank you for understanding! *LOCATION* This gorgeous property is located at the top of a mountain (you have to go to the top to get the best views!). This can mean a few things: some people can find the last 10 minutes of the drive a little winding or challenging. But some people find it scenic and breathtaking! The roads are paved and excluding snow or ice events, you do not need a 4 wheel drive to reach the cabin.
