Located just 10 minutes from downtown Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, this home provides easy access to all the major attractions, including Dollywood, Anakeesta, Titanic, and the Smoky Mountain Waterpark.  Also within the Black Bear Ridge Resort is an outdoor pool, a Salon and Day Spa, and Angel’s View Wedding Chapel, a beautiful mountain chapel that brings brides, grooms and their families from miles away.  From May 1st through October 1st, our guests will have free access to the outdoor pool to enjoy during their stay. All of our TVs are high definition smart TCL TVs where you can access Netflix, Prime Video, Youtube, Hulu and other apps. You will need to bring your own username/passwords to access the apps. You can also download new apps on the TV. 11. What type of internet do you provide? We provide unlimited high speed internet and Wi-Fi. 12. How many parking spaces are there? There is enough parking for up to 3 cars on the street immediately in front of our cabin. 13. How big and how deep is the indoor pool? What temperature is the pool heated to? What do you provide for pool safety? The pool is 15.5 feet long and 9 feet wide. The pool is 4 feet deep. Access to the indoor pool room is via keypad lock. There is a sound alarm any time a pool room door opens. We provide child life vests and a pool safety hook and ring. All children under the age of 18 must be supervised at all times by an adult. The pool is heated to 84 degrees. The indoor pool room temperature is set at 81 degrees. We cannot heat the pool beyond 84 degrees or change the temperature in the room because this will cause long term condensation damage to the home. 14. How do we access the outdoor community pool? The outdoor community pool is open from mid/late May (always before Memorial Day) to the last weekend in September. It is located at the entrance to the resort. Pool hours are from 10 am to 10 pm. There is no special key or card for the pool gate. There is a magnetic lock on the pool gate that you release by pushing down the cylinder. There is no lifeguard on duty. Children should be supervised by an adult at all times. On occasion, the pool needs to be shut down for maintenance or severe weather. While there are some natural curves along the drive (this is the Smokies), guests regularly comment on how straightforward arrival feels. As with most mountain properties, refunds are not offered for weather-related travel delays, so we encourage planning accordingly. Fire Pit Use The outdoor fire pit is a guest favorite when conditions allow. Please note that it may be unavailable during county-issued burn bans. We always follow local safety regulations and reopen access as soon as restrictions are lifted. Pet Policy To maintain cleanliness and accommodate guests with allergies, the cabin is strictly pet-free. This includes emotional support animals. A $500 fee will apply if a pet is brought into the home. Starter Supplies To help you settle in comfortably, we provide a starter supply of essentials, including shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, dish soap, a sponge, dishwasher tabs, one laundry pod, two rolls of paper towels, and two rolls of toilet paper per full bathroom. GRILL We have a charcoal grill out in the parking area (away from the cabin as regulated by the county fire marshall). INDOOR POOL We heat the pool at 80 degrees and it is cleaned in between every stay. The pool is 4 feet deep and about 10x16 in size. This room is locked and has an alarm that beeps when the pool door is opened. Other things to note WELL WATER / SEPTIC SYSTEM At Magic Mountain, our water comes straight from the mountain — we’re on a well system rather than city water. We’ve added a purification system under the cabin that helps reduce the natural “sulfur smell” that mountain water sometimes carries (this system primarily uses salt filtration to purify the water). We have a reverse osmosis water tap in the kitchen that we recommend for drinking - but many of our guests still bring bottled water to use for ease during their stay. PLEASE NOTE -- In the case we lose electricity, the well pump will not operate causing you to not have tap water until the electricity comes back on!
