Compared to similar units in the area, our home has an air conditioning unit to cool the main level and loft during the summer and a gas fireplace to warm up during the winter. You can also enjoy the outdoors on our spacious deck, which can accommodate a grill and patio table. Our unit is one of the larger units, with 3 bedrooms on the lower level and a semi-private loft. Our parking can accommodate 3 cars with a shared circle drive. We are only 2 minutes away from Beech Mountain Ski Resort. The space The property has three levels. The main level consists of three bedrooms and a full bathroom with laundry facilities. One bedroom has a king-sized bed, another has a king-sized bed, and the third bedroom contains a trundle bed, a full futon, and a bunk bed. On the second floor, there is a full bathroom, a kitchen with an island that seats 4, a dining room that seats 8, and a living room with a gas fireplace. The third floor is a semi-private loft. Unlike other units in the area, our loft does not have a see-through half-wall. It also features a half bath and a queen bed. The loft offers the best sunrise views! Guest access You will have full access to the townhouse. The property is a half mile from the Beech Ski Resort parking lot (a two-minute drive). The property is at the top of a ridge, and the Beech Mt. parking lot is at the bottom of the mountain. You will want to drive to the parking lot. It would be a hike up to the chalet. You will have full access to the townhouse. The property is located half a mile from the Beech Ski Resort parking lot, which is just a two-minute drive away. The property is situated at the top of a ridge, while the Beech Mt. parking lot is located at the bottom of the mountain. It's recommended to drive to the parking lot, as it would be quite a hike up to the chalet. We have a membership to Beech Mt Club, which offers access to golf, tennis, pickleball, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and exclusive restaurants only available to members. During the winter, there is a restaurant at Beech Mt exclusively for members. For a $300 transfer fee, you can enjoy these amenities during your stay. Other things to note This is a 1970's townhouse, you must be able to go up and down steps. *Please note: this is a very typical A-frame style home that is common to Beech Mountain. This means there are some staircases that are a bit steep and narrow. If you are traveling with infants, seniors, senior dogs, or anyone with mobility issues, this could potentially pose a challenge. The hot water works very well. Please be careful with young children. The ice maker does not work; however, there are ice cube trays, and at Fred’s general store, you can buy purchase bags of ice and other grocery items. If using the futon, underneath the futon, there is a foam pad, and in a bin, there are sheets with a mattress cover in a bin un. Please use the mattress cover. The coffee maker takes pods or grounds as it is the duo ninja coffee maker. There is a mesh filter for the coffee grinds. There are instructions on how to switch from pods to grounds and vice versa. Always leave the black brew basket, inserted, whether you are using the pods or inserting the mesh filter for grounds. There is a printer, Epson XP – 310, Wi-Fi ready and there is a cable to connect your computer to the printer. Please leave this cable in the information binder for the home. If you are staying several weeks at the property and need a printer for work you may want to bring ink and paper for the printer. When using the grill, please burn off any grease, cheese, or meat left on it. Set a timer so you don’t forget the grill is on and close the propane tank. To access Beech Mt. Club for golf, pool, tennis, etc., you need to fill out paperwork a minimum of three business days before your visit. This home is located conveniently in the heart of all the action, but if you find yourself wanting to stay in for the day, you'll have no shortage of fun activities to keep yourselves entertained.   This home is also only steps away from the Beech Mountain clubhouse, this home comes with the ability to request Beech Mountain Club membership privileges (Beech Mountain Club access fees apply-currently only allowing a transfer of membership. With 6 beds and 3 full bathrooms, this newly-updated classic chalet comfortably sleeps 11 and has something for everyone. Enjoy stargazing while unwinding in the hot tub, making s'mores around the fire pit, curling up in front of the wood-burning stone fireplace, or some friendly competition during a family game night. The space 3 bedrooms. 3 baths, with a main level den and upper level loft. The loft and den each have fold out sleeping options as well. The mudroom contains a full washer and dryer, along with plenty of room for coats and boots. The well-equipped kitchen allows for cooking together and eating in if you don’t want to enjoy a local restaurant. In the backyard, you’ll find a full size hot tub for 6, as well as a fire pit alongside the small creek on the property. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire home. Other things to note This home contains the original interior staircase and doorways of the house. They are steeper than modern stairs, and some doorways are slightly narrow. If you have difficulty navigating steep stairs, these may be difficult. There are alternative paths and stairs outside and around the home, but all entrances require walking up at least 5 steps.

The space The house is accessed using the walkway around the right side of the house. You enter into a main living space with beautiful vaulted ceilings and an open space design with lots of natural light. All the bedrooms on the main floor and in the loft boast KING beds with soft cozy linens and TVs equipped with ROKU. Downstairs there is an additional bedroom with a trundle bed, a laundry room with washer and dryer, and a game room/theater with a big screen projector, air hockey table, popcorn machine, tabletop Connect4, games and puzzles for all ages, as well as toys and books. Outside has a great patio for hanging out! Plenty of seating, a chiminea and fire pit. There is also a balcony with a gas grill perfect for relaxing! Guest access The entire property is available for use. Other things to note Please be aware that roads in the area can be dangerous in the snow. Drive carefully and use four wheel drive if you have it. The driveway is fairly flat and has enough room to turn around. There is an outside closet available for guests to store any ski/snowboarding equipment. There are a few extra sleds in there for you as well, along with a shovel, and rock salt. The house has linens, towels, and toiletries, as well as baby needs like a pack&play, booster seat, monitors, blackout curtains, plates, cups, bowls, and cutlery. Lastly, please be aware that this house is not wheelchair accessible. There are stairs to get into the house as well as narrow staircases in the home.

The second level has a full bathroom, kitchen, living, and dining room with a TV with Roku. Family adventure, romantic getaway, or relaxing break? At Bear Branch, you can do it all…thrill or chill! Located on a large wooded lot with amazing views and conveniently located off the Beech Mtn Parkway. In summer, hike the local trails, golf, visit wineries, ride a zip line or alpine coaster, or visit a local festival/concert. Winter turns the mtn into a wonderland with skiing/sledding and a hot tub or cozy fire to help stay warm. We invite you to our mtn paradise to reconnect and recharge! The space Our mountain cabin boasts a unique layout. All bedrooms are located on the lower level along with two full bathrooms. The upper level is a great open room including fireplace, living/dining, kitchen space with bar, and a 1/2 bathroom. The two levels are connected by a charming spiral staircase. A tree stands tall in the center of the great room and the views are magnificent all the way around. Firewood for the stone fireplace is provided outside as you go upstairs to enter the property. We provide a starter kit of supplies for the kitchen and bathroom (see Welcome Guide for details). Two levels of decking offer vistas of the mountains and wooded areas surrounding our home. Downstairs includes 4 bedrooms with 2 on each side of the hallway. Two bedrooms have queen beds, one has bunkbed with a twin over queen bed, and a twin daybed with a twin trundle. The 2 newly remodeled full bathrooms are found on each end of the hallway. One has a walk-in shower and the other has a bathtub. The hot tub is located on the lower deck with easy access from the bedroom. *Airbnb categorizes our place as ski in/out, but please note that while we are located only 4 tenths of a mile from the ski resort, there is some walking involved. It can be very busy with lots of curves, snow banks, and does not have sidewalks if you walk on Beech Mtn Pkwy. Another option is to walk down a neighboring road to a trail that comes out at lift (7 min) or walk on our road up a slight incline and you can get to the new beginner slope (8 min) Carolina Caribbean). We provide directions if you wish to walk. ***Message us and ask about our early check-in & check-out options.*** Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property - with the exception of 2 locked owners closets (kitchen and pull-out couch room). There is a motion-detecting security camera on the front of the home facing the parking area. It is for security and to add lighting to the entrance of the home. It records for 30 seconds after motion is detected. It in no way views any areas of the porch or inside the home. Other things to note *A signed Rental Agreement will be required in accordance with the NC Vacation Rental Act and sent shortly after booking. *The spiral staircase that connects the upper and lower level on the interior is a bit narrow. If you are traveling with someone with mobility issues, very young children, or pets, this could potentially pose a challenge. There is easy access to both levels via the exterior stairs. *When you add one or two pets to the reservation, the pet fee of $125 is automatically rolled into your daily rate.

The space This house is a beautiful 4 bedroom 3.5 bath house 1.5 miles from the slopes. Main floor has master with King size bed and master bath, half bath, and great room with new Pottery Barn sofa and loveseat (January 2021) and beautiful stone fireplace. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms (1 king and 1 queen) and one full bathroom. Loft has twin bed. The 4th bedroom is in basement with full bath. There is also a futon in the basement den along with a 65” TV. All 4 bedrooms have TVs as well. Kitchen is equipped and includes coffee maker, Keurig, and crockpot. Our home also has A/C. Other things to note We have a strict no-pet policy.

In good weather, guests generally have no issue accessing the home. In winter months, AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended when snow is present. During freeze–thaw cycles, icy conditions can develop and even capable vehicles may encounter difficulty. Guests traveling during active snow or ice events may consider bringing tire chains for added traction and peace of mind. Roads in the area are plowed quickly, and the driveway is professionally plowed as well. Mountain weather can change rapidly, so guests should be comfortable with winter driving conditions.
