Otter Lodge

Our cabin is located on a hill of 20 acres of gorgeous grass and wildflowers. We are one mile from Hebgen Lake where you can enjoy boating, fishing, water skiing and swimming. The cabin is 10 miles west of West Yellowstone, Montana where grocery stores, souvenir shops, and many restaurants are located and the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The cabin is accessible by paved roads on Hwy 20 and Denny Creek Road. The gravel 1/4 mile road to our cabin is accessible by car, pickup, SUV. The space The main floor consists of a large living room and windows facing YNP. The room contains a couch, 3 easy chairs, a rocking chair and a propane fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans and dishes etc. There is also a gas BBQ on the deck. There is a bar with seating for 3 and a dining room table for 8. The screened in deck has a couch swing and several easy chairs. The MB is on the main level with a king size bed, office area, large closet and full size bathroom with walk in shower. There is also a half bath on main level with washer and dryer available for your use. Upstairs is a bedroom with dresser, closet and queen bed. The other bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, dresser and closet. The loft has a pull out double couch bed, tv, and comfortable seating. Guest access You are welcome to use the entire living spaces of the cabin. We have an unfinished basement but not suitable for habitation. Please drive vehicles on road leading up to and around cabin. Park cars in front of propane tank area. Other things to note We have a swing set and trampoline for the kids. Locate on the mountainside along 191, about 9 miles to the north of West Yellowstone! From the rustic farmhouse style of the home to the practical layout, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. This new remolding cabin has 1 queen-size bed and a bathroom. Here, you may encounter wild marmots, wild buffalo, various birds, etc... For tourists who love nature, our property will be a fantastic resting place. The space To reduce the risk of COVID-19, we closed all cottages in 2020. In the coming year, we are pleased to hear that the epidemic situation has become manageable. However, we will continue to implement a cautious opening policy and only operate seasonally (summer). The space This beautiful home is located just 10 miles from the west entrance of Yellowstone.  It is nestled in the quiet neighborhood of "Lazy Acres" amongst the quaking aspen trees.  In the summer, you can use the adjacent Forest Service trails for hiking.  In the winter months, you can ride your snowmobiles right from the house.  There is plenty of space in the driveway for parking snowmobile and boat trailers.  Garage access is available for guests and can be heated for an additional charge, please inquire with us for rates.  There is plenty of space to accommodate up to 12 people.  The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking all of your meals and dining together, and there is a full size washer and dryer available for your use. It is a perfectly situated adventurers retreat, located in a quiet rural subdivision only 8 miles from the entrance to Yellowstone National Park and the town of West Yellowstone. The home offers a very cozy rustic Montana mountain cabin feel but offers all of the amenities of modern living. It also has plenty of room for a larger group with 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and has everything you'll need for your best home cooking. The dining room has a large table that seats up to 10 comfortably, and there are also two outdoor picnic tables and a BBQ grill for meals that are best when enjoyed outside. The living room offers a flat screen HD TV, and internet service for streaming your favorite apps, and a Bose stereo system, along with games and a library of DVD movies. A wrap-around covered porch with rockers is a favorite spot for enjoying the morning and evening light. There's also a lovely love seat swing for those so inclined, and a fire pit with log-plank bench seats. Smores anyone? The lodge has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms located on two levels. The main level has the kitchen, dining, and living rooms along with one bedroom containing a queen bed and access to the main level bathroom. The upper level has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds and one has a California King. The bathrooms are not attached to the bedrooms. One bathroom has a tub and one has a shower. If you need even more room, we have another similar sized home, the Blue Spruce Cabin, on an adjacent lot that would create a cozy next door situation with a group of up to 24 guests! There is plenty of room in the driveway to park snowmobile or boat trailers! *Although 4 wheel drive is not required to get to the house, we definitely recommend it for our area from November - April, as road conditions are often "snowpacked and icy".

This charming vacation home is located just 7 miles west of West Yellowstone, MT, the gateway to Yellowstone National Park. Moose Crossing is a great spot for exploring the whole Yellowstone area. The home is surrounded by national forest trails for hiking, mountain biking, and snowmobiling. You are likely to see Moose, Elk and maybe even a bear in this incredible neighborhood! You can snowmobile directly from the house and get onto hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails. The space Moose Crossing has the most wonderful open floor plan with expansive windows, mountain views, and amenities such as a foosball table, 7-person hot tub, and FIVE spacious bedrooms. It's the perfect place for gathering and entertaining!!! With five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, the home fits 11 adults very comfortably. Between the 5 bedrooms there are: 3 King beds, 2 Queen, and 1 Twin sized bed (+ a leather futon in the master). The upper level includes the Master bedroom and ensuite full bath. The upstairs living area is open concept with a fully stocked kitchen, and 2 living room areas. The living room has spectacular views, a wood burning stove, and a 58 inch flat screen TV. Just off the kitchen is the very large deck with spectacular views of Lionhead Mountain and other peaks along the Continental Divide. The additional 4 bedrooms & 2 baths are on the ground floor, known as an 'upside-down' floor plan. They are organized in such a way that there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom down a left and right corridor. The Kitchen and dining area includes every amenity you may need for a meal. The grill is located on the impressive deck just off the kitchen. Wireless high speed internet is available for all guests. We don't allow pets to keep our home pet hair and dander free. Moose Crossing has radiant floor heating through the house. There is no air conditioning system in the home. "No Air conditioning you say?": AC is typically not needed as it cools off in the evening very comfortably, so everyone just opens the windows for the fresh evening mountain air! Even during the hottest weeks of summer, the highs may reach the 80's for a short time, but the temperature drops to the 40’s overnight. In winter, you can snowmobile directly from the house and get onto hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails. Big Sky Ski area is only a 1 hour drive. The area offers countless things to do outside of the lodge. You have hiking, shopping, restaurants, the Grizzly Discover Center, The West Yellowstone Adventure Park, fishing, wildlife viewing, boating, and horseback riding. The list keeps going. Having a background in outdoor careers in Montana, we relied on our years of experience working and recreating in the woods when we designed and built Shelterwood. Construction was completed in 2021. Built for the Yellowstone environment, homes are well insulated with central heat, central air conditioning, and ceiling fans. We are happy to answer questions about the area and the homes. In each home we provide guides, maps, backpacks, coolers, and baby gear for your use during your stay. Also includes laundry detergent, dish detergent, hand soap, toiletries, hair dryers, bear spray, campfire and stove firewood. Summer highlights: touring Yellowstone Park, fly fishing on Blue Ribbon rivers and streams, visiting the lake, hiking and mountain biking access from the property, guided horseback rides, see the rodeo, ride the Yellowstone Aerial Adventures Zipline, catch a movie on the Yellowstone Giant Screen, visit the Grizzly Wolf Discovery Center, dining and shopping in West Yellowstone. Winter highlights: groomed snowmobile trail access from the property, cross country skiing and snow shoeing access from the property or in town at the Rendezvous trail system, dog sledding, ice fishing, winter tours into Yellowstone by snow coach or snowmobile, downhill skiing and snowboarding at Big Sky ski resort less than an hour drive. Driveway and road snow plowing provided. Escape with your family for a getaway or stay longer and finish that novel you started. Peace and quiet and outstanding natural beauty are waiting for you at Shelterwood Lodge and Guest House. Guest access No need to check in with us. All locks are operated by touchpad. We provide your key code a few days before your arrival. Other things to note We follow strict Gallatin County and State of Montana Dept. of Health and Human Services guidelines to hold our small hotel business license. Guidelines focus on providing a safe and clean environment for every group. Hot tubs are emptied, cleaned, and filled between each group stay. Linens are appropriately cleaned at the correct temperature. Cleaning is provided by our dedicated staff trained to follow the State of Montana DHHS hotel standard. Security cameras are located at the garage doors and doorbells only. No backyard or interior cameras on site.
