There is an optional connected 1 bedroom private apartment you can add to make it 10 bedrooms and 9.5 Bathrooms. There is a large great room, a high-end kitchen and a huge 1,800 sq/ft game room. We have hosted many reunions, company retreats and other large groups. The space 6 of the 9 bedrooms have their own connected full bathroom with tile shower. Each room has its own heating and air conditioning unit, t.v. (netflix, amazon prime). You are welcome to use anything in the kitchen. Large professional gas range with double ovens at your disposal. Nearly the entire lowest level is dedicated to entertainment with a pool table, ping pong, giant bowling, air hockey, electronic basketball, corn hole and a big t.v. and couch. There is also a BBQ outside the back patio along with a new hot tub. Guest access You can access the entire main floor, lower floor and the upper floor except for the doors that are locked. We take fequent walks throughout the entire 20 acres but if you'd like to do the same, please make sure you have pants and/or at least high socks, and boots if you want to be extra cautious :) *Event permission approval is on a case by case basis & with an additional fee. Host lives on premises. Not a party house. Please note that the February wind and ice storms destroyed the back yard pond. The back porch is still usable, but has the "beauty" of the destruction of nature and not the beauty of the hard work of creating an elegant landscaped pond. The space Stonehaven is a large Craftsman style guesthouse in the West Hills above Portland. It is ideal for families, groups of friends, wedding parties, business groups, church groups, retreats and outdoor enthusiasts looking for a beautiful place to stay while while visiting Portland. We only book groups so you and your friends and family members can have a great time together sharing our house. We have plenty of space for cooking, eating and hanging out or are happy to guide you to the best places to eat and visit in Portland and the Pacific Northwest. We are not a party house and because we are in a quiet neighborhood we are not a suitable location for loud parties. Parking is limited to 5 cars. Stonehaven is located in a hilly suburban neighborhood west of Portland, you will need a car to easily access Portland and the surrounding area. Parking is free and there are two off-street and three on-street free parking spaces. There is additional parking in the neighborhood but we ask that you please check with the hosts on where to park extra cars or large vehicles as to not annoy the neighbors. The guest area of the house includes a huge gourmet kitchen with two refrigerators, butler's pantry, dining room, library/living room, foyer, TV nook, laundry room, heated back deck, natural gas grill and large front patio. There are 6 private guest bedrooms with 10 separate beds and 3 private bathrooms. Sleeps 12-15 depending on whether beds or shared or not. Stonehaven is ideally suited for groups of up to 15 members of the same family or groups of less than 10 friends or coworkers. Due to the configuration of the beds and rooms Stonehaven is not suited for larger groups of unrelated individuals. We welcome groups of all races and diversity. Stonehaven is not child proof and may not be a suitable location for some kids. Stonehaven is suitable for brief events with less than 20 people who are respectful of the neighbors and the home. Stonehaven is not a party house and is not appropriate for heavy alcohol or drug use, wild parties and unaccompanied minors. We do not permit smoking including marijuana on the premises. The house is well insulated and there is little sound transmission between the guest and host areas. Stonehaven is located in a suburban neighborhood and guests are expected to behave as such. This is not a party house and there are neighborhood noise restrictions after 9 pm. We strive to be eco-friendly and expect our guests to participate in recycling, composting and turning off light and appliances when not in use. If your group cannot be counted on as being good neighbors or eco-friendly please do not place a reservation with us. Please realize before you confirm a reservation with us that Stonehaven is a shared house, you will not have the house completely to yourselves. The host lives upstairs and there is a door that remains closed while guests are present between the host and guest parts of the house. The hosts occasionally pass through the guest area of the house when the guests are not around to manage recycling, laundry and check supplies. The hosts almost never, but may use the laundry in the guest area of the house and accesses it through an outside door. We list Stonehaven on Airbnb's site under the "entire home" category because Airbnb does not have a category for shared/split homes. If you or someone in your group is uncomfortable with the hosts occasionally passing through the common areas of the house, usually when the guests are not around (never the private guest areas of the house) then Stonehaven is probably not a good choice for your group. There is a key lock to gain access to the house after hours, you will be given the code a few days before you arrive. For your safety there is excellent lighting in both the parking area and front yard at night. Stonehaven is not a hotel and at departure the kitchen and guest areas of the house are expected to be reasonably clean. If you leave a mess or a lot of dirty dishes then the host will invoke an additional cleaning bill against your damage deposit with Airbnb. Most of the guest bedrooms are in one area in the north wing of the house. In total there is 1 king bed, 3 queen beds, 2 full beds, 1 twin XL bed, 3 twin beds, 1 queen sofa bed, and 1 toddler bed. Fully stocked kitchen with silverware, stoneware, serving dishes, pots, standard cooking supplies, spices, oils, coffee, tea, condiments, sugar, flour, grill, blender, wok, crock pot, etc. There are two off street parking spots with three additional on street free parking spots in front of the house and more free parking in the neighborhood. Please check with the hosts regarding extra parking (more than 5 vehicles) or parking of large vehicles. The laundry area and yard is shared with the host. The host's private living space upstairs is off limits to guests. No access to the host's side yard around the deep koi pond unless the hosts are with you. Other things to note The side yard ponds is not childproof. This is Oregon and the house is located in a heavily forested area of town, this means there are a lot of pine needles, spider webs, mason bees (benign) and other creatures in the yard around the patio. We do brush and wash things down once a week but we do not believe in spraying pesticides or herbicides so you will need to be a bit tolerant of mother nature when you are in our yard. We try to be eco conscious and as a result the house is very energy efficient with LED lighting, insulation and we compost and recycle. We ask that you help by turning off lights when not in use and participating in recycling your food and beverage containers. I only rent to one group at a time so you will not be sharing space with anyone other than the host's household. Please see the rules below and request further information from the host. We keep the refrigerator stocked with condiments. We have a well stocked tea and coffee cabinet and sweeteners. The space This 4,100 square foot home is centrally located near downtown Beaverton, just twenty minutes from Portland. It offers a level of spaciousness and comfort for groups that few can rival. The open floor plan is great for any group, and there are a number of upgrades in and out. New fencing and landscaping has recently been updated and upgraded. One of the most unique parts are the pictures and décor from around the world showcasing the owners' travels. Everything about the house is quite special, so be one of the fortunate to enjoy all it has to offer. The home is located off a suburban road by a long driveway that leads back to the house, where it is nestled near an undeveloped field on one side. There is ample parking for five cars if needed. As you enter this truly special home, you can't help to notice the cozy sitting area and fireplace to the right as you enter. If you proceed down the other hall it leads to a huge open floor plan with the kitchen, dining and living area all connected for your group to enjoy time together. There is a large flat screen TV, Bluetooth sound bar, and streaming options for your entertainment needs. Just beyond the kitchen and dining area it opens up on to a brand new deck and gorgeous hot tub. This home sleeps 15+. The whole group will enjoy easy driving access to everything Portland has to offer from this centrally located place. The space The Playground is located 9 miles from Downtown Portland. There is no shortage of things to do inside and outside of this sprawling, fun-filled home near the river. We built this home in 1998 with our parents and raised our 2 boys here. A series of unfortunate events prompted a relocation for now, but we know you will enjoy this home as we did for 20+ years. Guest access Our guests will have access to the backyard and other outdoor spaces. Don’t forget your flip-flops for the hot tub. Also,... there are a lot of stairs in this home. Other things to note - How much do you hate getting the cold shower?! Not here, there is a tankless water heater. Hurray! Occasionally you might hear the tick of the water pipes heating up. -A long to-do list while you’re trying to get out the door? No. There are not any chores at check-out, just get your shtuff and go! -Quiet time is 9pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends. Please be considerate of our neighbors. -We can not give late checkouts without rescheduling the cleaning crew and/or blocking that evening. Please consider booking an additional night if you’d like a later checkout. -Smoking of any kind indoors is strictly prohibited and will result in a $500 fine. One of the most special parts of this home is the backyard oasis. A new hot tub has been installed allowing you to soak your troubles away while enjoying the sights and sounds of this riverside paradise. Neighbors are great at looking for infractions. please let all additional guest with vehicles to be aware parking arrangements. 2. This house is in a quiet residential area. We welcome respectful guests who will treat our neighborhood and our place as their home. This means that respectful and friendly gatherings are OK. That said, loud and/or wild parties are strictly forbidden. Any sign of disturbance, loud music & noise, including disturbance reported by neighbors, is a violation of the house rules. 3. If you are booking the place for someone else and you won't be physically present during the reservation, please let us know about it. We will need the information of the person that is staying in the house, as well as a copy of their ID. 4. We recommend all guests to purchase travel insurance to protect your trip in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Our cancellation is strict, and we will uphold our cancellation policy in any types of events. 5. Check-in for guests is AFTER 4pm, and check-out is 11am on the day of departure. May-September is our high season, due to back to back turns we can not offer any early check-in or late check-out. Early check-in may be possible with additional fee during the rest of the year, please check availability with your host. The space The Cairns House earned its name from the multiple stacked stones and boulders that are found around the property. The subtle theme of stacked stones, self check-in, high speed internet and easy parking are all designed to offer guests and visitors a sense of calm. The renovated home is meticulously clean and the open concept shows off the mid century design aesthetic perfectly while allowing families to gather and move seamlessly between the kitchen, family room and living room. There are 4 Smart TVs, and each bedroom has a an incredibly comfortable bed, and plenty of closet space to put stuff away in so you can relax. The Cairns House is perched just above the street with stairs leading from the driveway to the front door. There is a large wood burning fire pit (OK to use unless a Burn Ban is in effect) in the front yard to enjoy the great views of Canal Acres' treetops that is directly across the street. The back yard is private and peaceful and offers a huge patio and gazebo and a flat turf area where kids and adults can play a friendly game of Bocce Ball or enjoy the other outdoor games. The fully loaded kitchen with the ginormous peninsula will have you and your guests cooking and entertaining in style! Spread out all the toppings for individual pizzas and then fire up the outdoor pizza oven to make delicious meals and lasting memories. Before you shop, check out the cooking oil and the 30+ spices available to use during your stay. The beautiful buffet area serves as a perfect coffee bar in the morning, an elegant cocktail bar in the evening, and will display hors d'oeuvres and meals anytime of the day. Enjoy the nearby Bryant Woods-Canal Acres Loop Hike. It offers 3 easy loops on well maintained trails, and winds through forest, thickets, and meadow. Because it is so close, it is a great place to get out for a quick nature walk by yourself, or with the whole family anytime between 6am till 10pm. The house is surrounded by very tall trees, but upscale Bridgeport shopping and dining is only a quick 5-10 minute drive, and picturesque downtown Lake Oswego is only a short 10-15 drive and offers a fantastic place to take in views of the lake while dining, shopping and strolling. Guest access Please enjoy the entire house! Please note that there are stairs that lead up to the front door. There is a gravel pathway that can be used instead of the stairs, however it does have a slope to it. The outdoor storage shed will store landscaping equipment and supplies and will remain locked.
