Brook/Creekside Is a charming and spacious five-bedroom property in the historic area of Abingdon. The house will sleep maximum of 10 five bedrooms and is in a perfect location for exploring town. The property is situated on a beautiful acre lot w/ Old Town Creek in the back yard. Hop on the sidewalk to enjoy shopping, dining and activities. Enjoy the wonderful outdoor space with two fire pits and outside dining area. Note: longer-term monthly rentals, we accept 6 -8 guests instead of 10. The space The main part of the house includes three bedrooms (2 queens and 4 twins) with 2 full baths, a fully equipped kitchen and spacious living and dining areas as well as a separate den/tv room . A separate lower level with private entrance includes two bedrooms ( 1 queen and 1 full) with one and a half baths, kitchen,living/dining area. The outdoor spaces are perfect for gathering and include a patio, spacious deck porch with dining area and outdoor fire pit area by the creek. Please note there is no interior staircase between the main house and the downstairs. You access the space from the upper back porch to lower patio. Please note that the stairway to the upper floor to where the four twin beds are is a bit steep for toddlers. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property. Parking is on the property. The house has 4 bedrooms with a King, a Queen and 2 Twin beds on the first floor and a King on the second floor. 1 full and 1 half bath on the first floor and a full bath on the second floor. There is one apartment on the back of the house and the tenant has a separate entrance. The upstairs area has an office area as well as a kitchen. The first floor has a living room, kitchen, dining room and sunroom. Smart TV's (Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime-enabled) are located in each bedroom and in the living room. Books and various board games are provided - perfect for a family game night or a quiet evening of reading on the porch or in the sunroom. Coffee, tea and waters are provided. The Olde Springhouse is our cozy cottage just 1 block off Main str and a few more from the Virginia Creeper Trail-Head. The Trail is open 17 from Abingdon to Damascus! This gem is at the epicenter of shops, restaurants and nightlife! Enjoy all our town offers within walking distance- The Barter Theatre, The Creeper Trail, The Tavern, Jack's 128 Pecan, Foresta, Summers Rooftop/Cellar, Rain, The Girl & The Raven, SweetBay Brewery, and much, much more- and it was literally built over a spring! The space We are still very Covid cleaning conscious. Additionally, several of the restaurants within a couple blocks walk have outdoor dining/seating and the Creeper trailhead is 3 blocks away. There is a mudroom with a bike rack for 5 bikes, and even a full sized mtn bike on-site for your convenience. You can mitigate any Covid risks if you should choose to by enjoying great food, good drink, and exercise outdoors and steps away from the cottage. Across the street from The Old Springhouse is a public park with lots of fun things for the kids and adults alike- including a covered picnic area and barbeque grill. The cottage also sits on Towne Creek with its famous resident Mallards! Be careful though, as the creek runs thru town and is prone to have glass or debris in it. Wear shoes if wading! There is a private driveway at the cottage but if you have more than one car, feel free to park across the street at the park. Legend has it the park was home to the main town spring from which everyone got their drinking water. Guest access Entire home and property including creek- enjoy but wear shoes if wading in creek to be safe. Other things to note There is a firehouse across the street but the responders are VERY sympathetic to local residents and don't turn on their sirens until they are past the house and get on main street. Also, Abingdon has a train track running the length of town- any house in town is “close”. Several trains run during the course of the day, FYI.

Quiet 2 bed townhouse minutes from Barter Theatre

Raven Ridge Lodge is a unique and wonderful retreat located on a mountain top in a natural rhododendron garden. It makes a great base for visiting the Channels Natural area. Take a hike, and then relax in the hot tub. The views are spectacular. My guests tell me my photos don't do justice to the mountain top. Come and see for yourself! The space Please note - Due to the coronavirus I am leaving 1 day between reservations for my safety and the safety of my guests. Raven Ridge is a mountain top retreat in a natural rhododendron and azalea garden on 100 acres with spectacular views of three states. Spectacular spring blooms and wonderful leaf viewing in the fall. Borders and overlooks the 4,800 acre Channels State Forest. The Clinch Mountain Hiking Trail crosses the property, with access to the Channels, a unique rock formation on top of Clinch Mountain that is a popular hiking destination. The property is listed on the Virginia Birding and wildlife trail, with abundant wildlife and excellent birding. Raven Ridge is located just off the Trans America 76 cross county bike route. The Lodge has two bedrooms with queen beds and a couch that converts to a full bed in the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a six burner deluxe range. The marble tiled bath includes a claw foot bathtub. There is an outside hot tub available for soaking under the stars. Heat is provided by a soapstone wood stove with glass doors. In the colder months, the beds are made up with electric blankets to keep you cozy and warm. Numerous porches are great for viewing the scenery or just lounging around. Although the property has a Saltville address, it is actually located north of the town of Abingdon, and southwest of Lebanon. Please note that in case of light snow, a four wheel drive vehicle is recommended for access. If there is a heavy snow (more than a couple of inches), access may not be possible. We don't get a lot of snow, but it is always possible in the winter months. All that being said, Raven Ridge is incredibly beautiful in the snow. There is a two night minimum stay. Sorry, pets are not allowed at Raven Ridge, due to the allergies of some of my guests. Although my standard check in time is after 3 PM, I can sometimes accommodate earlier check in. depending on my schedule. Late checkout may be available as well. . You can park up to 4 standard vehicles or one standard RV. Walking distance to all the favorite stops. if you walk over the bridge on the creek right next to the house to Main Street you will find the sweetest coffee shop “Raven” and just behind that is “Wolf Hills Brewery” . If you continue on main street you run into little boutiques and the famous “Tavern”, 128 pecan,Rain, The Barter Theater, Martha Washington Hotel and Spa. The best part is if you walk a bit more or take your bikes for less than a mile you will find the entrance of the Virginia Creeper Trail . That alone makes Abingdon that much more special . This unique place has a style all its own. The Crow's Nest is a modern open concept loft apartment that is located within a short walk of historic downtown Abingdon. Designed for comfort and enhanced with style we want your stay to be comfortable and fun. King & Queen beds, kitchen & lounge combination. The bath and washer/dry are on the first level. Easy and convenient parking. The space The Crow's Nest is one of three apartments located at the 454 Bradley Street Apartment house. However, only two of the Apartments are being rented at this time. This property joins the host property which has the "Little Green Pig" rental. Should guest want to use amenities at the Little Green Pig that include children's play area and the backyard grill and patio must be approved by the host. * Note Any person having mobility issue should not rent The Crow's Nest. This is a two level apartment having steps to the second level. The bath and laundry are located on the bottom and living area on top. Guest access Guest has access to the 3.5 acres but must have orientation and approval from the host to wonder outside parking or living area. The house is spacious, yet cozy and has all the amenities that a leisure or business traveler may need. Incredible kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, blazing fast wifi, offstreet parking, a private patio, multiple flat screen TV's, a dedicated office area, and so much more! The space This brilliantly remodeled house was a commercial clothing store for decades in downtown Abingdon. In 2013, the last of the commercial tenants moved out, and the building was redesigned into a private residence. The downstairs is one large, open room where the living room and kitchen flow into one another. The high ceilings, wood floors, and custom cabinets give it a modern yet homey feel. There is also a half bathroom downstairs near the rear entrance that leads to the back patio. Both bedrooms are located upstairs. The master bedroom has vaulted ceilings and a large walk-in closet. The guest bedroom can also serve as an office with a custom built-in desk and bed in opposite sides of the room, which also has wonderful natural light coming in from the south. The back patio has a retractable cover for rain and sun protection. It is controlled by a remote control. There is also a charcoal grill with grilling utensils on the back patio. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house with the exception of two closets which will be locked.

Our place is very unique, in that you can't drive up to the guest house. Guests have to use the parking spaces that are on the side of the road, then walk across a 150 ft. bridge, and then walk 500 feet to the guest house. It will be advisable to arrive during daylight hours. The property adjoins the North Fork Holsten river, which you will have access to. The space In the guest house, one of the couches is a pull out, where 2 or more can then sleep on. You have access to the river, to do swimming, boating, and fishing. And there is a fire pit, by the river. You may need to bring your own firewood. We do allow pets, for a $15 per pet per day fee. Guest access With the owners permission, you could walk around the 10 acre organic farm, and during the growing season, see crops of fruits and vegetables. The space This is a one bedroom home but we added a pullout sofa bed in the living room for more guest. Guest access The guest will have the house to themselves. The only thing they can’t access is a locked cabinet that belongs to the owners. Other things to note Please feel free to bring your children, we will take the decor off the table prior to guest arrival. The home isn’t childproof so keep an eye on them, there’s also no gates on either porch. When pulling out, drive down to the next mailbox so that you can see better before pulling onto the road.
