(the views of the city from Mt. Washington have been ranked as the most breathtaking views in Pennsylvania by the Insider and among the best cityscape views in the world by USA Today - and your view from the balcony is about as perfect as it gets in Mt Washington) PARKING There is a (narrow) 1-car garage, that can be opened from the inside. There is also space for 1 car to park in the driveway to the garage off-street. On-street parking is free and not usually difficult to find. HOUSE LAYOUT On the main level of the house, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee bar and a breakfast bar with charging ports so you can relax and sip your coffee or tea while catching up on news on your device. The dining room boasts a beautiful dining table hand-made by Amy's dad that comfortably fits eight, that opens into a welcoming living room with a cushy sofa that can turn into a full-size bed. There's a 50" TV here, but we can't imagine you'd ever use it as the living room opens into an insta-gram worthy view of Pittsburgh and a balcony to sit and enjoy that view. Heading upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms and one full bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The first bedroom offers a king sized bed, small sofa (that opens into a twin sized bed), and a desk with chair. The balcony is an amazing place to sit while taking in the perfect view. The second spacious bedroom offers a queen sized bed as well as a futon. Going another level up, the 3rd bedroom in this house is a loft suite with a king bed and sitting area with that view. It has a newly renovated bathroom with a Japanese-style soaker tub (small but deep) and shower. Heading all the way back down, the basement level of the house offers access to the small backyard with patio table and chairs. Inside enjoy the 70" TV and large comfortable sofa that also converts to a bed. There's a powder room down here as well as a washer and drying for laundry. Our newest addition to the house is a small gym in the back of the garage level. This is a *use at your own risk* convenience. We also recommend that if the weather is permitting, skip this entirely and take your jog or bike ride outside. The street and surrounds are amazing, and if you take the incline down the hill there are city bikes to rent and some 26-miles of gorgeous bike trail along the river! BUT, this is Pittsburgh, and the weather does not always cooperate. So for those days, watch the rain/snow/ice/whatever over the downtown skyline while you use the treadmill or exercise bike in the cozy comfort of home. ** Are you confused yet about the different levels of the house? There are 5 levels in all - basement with TV rec room and powder room, next up is garage with a gym, then main level with living/dining room, half bath, and kitchen, upstairs with 2 bedrooms and full bath, and at the very top is the en suite loft. As you may have guessed, this is not a house for those who have a challenge with stairs ** LOCATION It's hard to get better in terms of location than this. The house is situated at the end of a quiet and family-oriented street, with the sidewalks usually busy with neighbors jogging, pushing strollers, or walking their dogs. Nearly across the street is a convenience shop and pharmacy, and three more blocks away is Grand View Avenue and restaurant row with its variety of award-winning food establishments and other shops. The Monongahela incline is an 8-10 minute walk away, and drops down into Station Square. From there you can hop public transport or just stroll across the bridge and find yourself in downtown Pittsburgh. The stadiums are just minutes away as well. To get there, exit my door and go right, travel 200 yards down the road, and the stairs will be marked by a sign. This provides quick access to Carson Street. Roughly 7-10 minute walk. 18th street and Pius both do not require parking permits. The Southside, in general, is a staple of Pittsburgh. 100 years ago most of the Southside was steel mills. You can still see fragments of the mills at the Hot Metal Bridge and various pieces along the bike/walking path next to the river. Carson Street is a combination of bars, cafes, and quality restaurants. Down towards the end of the SouthSide is The Southside Works, which is a great, family-friendly, newer part of the city where the American Eagle Headquarters resides. Overall, this is an ideal location with easy access to everything Pittsburgh has to offer! LOCATION! Walkable to inclines & stunning views

In historic southside. It was built in 1910. It is close to Carson street. southside flats. Close to southside works. Many restaurants and bars in walking distance. 3.5 miles from Heinz Field and PNC park. 1.7 miles from PPG paint arena (Penguins, other concerts etc). Very easy Uber/ Taxi ride to all of these places.. Southside heritage trail and boat launch close. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). The space 3 bedrooms with queen size beds (one of the rooms has a full bed as well). Other things to note There is plenty of street parking around that doesn’t require a permit. Due to the actions of others- Absolutely no large parties. SMALL gatherings of no more than 15 people are allowed INSIDE the house. No parties AT ALL outside of the house. The neighbors are very friendly, but have informed us they will call the police (and have previously) if a party is spilling outside and in front of their house. As long as you're keeping everything indoors there will not be an issue. Please no confetti! It is extremely difficult to get cleaned up and the cleaning service will charge way more. If there is confetti there will be a $100 fee. Also absolutely no taping anything to the walls. We had this house completely newly painted one year ago not even and guests putting signs up in the house with tape has caused the paint to be torn off of the walls. You will be required to pay for the damage plus a $100 rule violation fee. Also please no loose garbage in the outdoor garbage cans. The city does not allow us to put the cans on the curb. Everything has to be bagged. When people throw loose cans/garbage in the cans, we have to clean it and bag it ourselves. The cans are checked by the cleaning service in between each reservation and there will be a $100 charge if there is loose garbage.

This spacious 3br/2bath walkup is in the heart of Pittsburgh's iconic Southside neighborhood. It's 2 short blocks to Carson St.- home to great eateries, shops, & nightlife. And it's close to the riverfront with bike & walking paths. The decor mixes authentic vintage & modern pieces plus original art to create a space with a unique style. You can watch the 4K 55" smart TV, work w/ high-speed fiber WiFi, cook in the efficient kitchen, or hang out on the shared patio or covered private porch. The space The space is an upstairs apartment with an efficient full kitchen and in-unit laundry, a comfy living room with a dining table that expands to seat six, and three bedrooms capable of sleeping six adults plus two children. Each bedroom also has a dedicated desk/work area. There’s a full bath on each level, one with a tub/shower, and the other with a standing shower stall. Plus, there's a private porch and a nice fenced-in yard/patio (shared) in the back for dining or hanging out. There may be tenants in the downstairs unit at the time of your stay, but they're typically quiet and respectful. Guest access Plenty of 2-hour street parking around, but some of the spots are reserved for residential permits in the evening. There are non-permitted spots right across the street from the house, for which I can provide a map! For getting around the city, there's a bus stop right across the street, as well. Other things to note I love pets, and I want you to bring your furry friends along! We even have a fenced-in yard for them. There’s a $50 flat fee for pets that will be added to cover potential damage. Smoking inside the unit will result in a minimum additional $200 cleaning fee for odor removal. Please respect my space and don't smoke inside! Please be aware the home is over 100 years old and has some quirks you’d expect in a home of that vintage! While the second-floor full bath is generously sized, the full bath on the third floor has a small shower stall that’s best for children or petite adults. Also, given the standard of the high ceiling in the construction of that era, the unit has lots of stairs that may be difficult for older or less physically able guests to negotiate.
