This 2500 sq ft sanctuary has been recently remodeled with all new floors, cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, double fireplace, windows, doors, light fixtures, exterior decking/stairs, paint and furnishings! You will enjoy a cozy modern rustic aesthetic surrounded by the cool, freshly oxygenated air of the mountains...a truly healthy vacation. Enjoy rain showers and stay dry on the large covered deck. By night, enjoy the sunset and light a fire in the fire pit, roast marshmallows or enjoy a glass of wine on the expansive back deck. Then retire inside to the fireplace and all of the cozy, cuddly spaces Caribou Cabin has to offer. Caribou Cabin's main level features the open living room with vaulted ceiling, dining area, open kitchen, spacious laundry room, sizable master bedroom with plush king sized bed, private master bath and walk-in closet, large 2nd bedroom with comfy queen bed, large 2nd full bath and the extensive deck which will seat a large family for meals. The downstairs suite features a large studio type apartment with sitting area, Franklin stove, small kitchen, comfy queen size bed, small built in baby crib, full bathroom with an oversized soaking tub/shower, and finally, an outdoor, weather-protected seating area with its own private door and private outdoor stairway which can be used exclusively for lower suite guests. Both levels are accessible to each other from an interior stairway as well. The entire house sleeps 6 people comfortably, with an additional bed for a baby or small child. A queen sized inflatable mattress is also available when needed for up to 2 more people. The space The Mountain House on Lake Glenville is a 3 bedroom/2.5 bath home nestled off of a quiet cove on Lake Glenville. The home features a private dock, firepit, pool table, fishing rods, paddleboard, fishing kayak, and a conoe—everything you need for a relaxing weekend on the lake.  The main level features the master bedroom with a queen bed, private deck with rocking chairs, and a jacuzzi tub in the master bath. The living room has large floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the lake. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a delicious meal. Right outside the dining room and kitchen is another deck overlooking the lake with rocking chairs, a large table for gathering, and a gas grill. Above the main level is a cozy loft with 4 twin beds and an expansive bookshelf with all sorts of books. Find a genre you’re interested in head down to the lake to relax on the dock and read. The lower level has a large game room with a pool table, couches, a TV, and another deck with rocking chairs. Down the hallway is a second queen bedroom, a room with two twins and a shared full bath.  This is a mountain home on the lake. Cell service is not strong at the house, it is recommend to connect to wifi for better service.

This has been our family vacation home for the past 20 year. We are now opening it up to you! There are many waterfalls on the lake and so many hikes surrounding it. The driveway is very steep with a sharp turn. The walk from the house to the lake has many stairs and some loose rocks. The views are breathtaking. We hope you can relax at the lake! We have loved this hidden gem. The space Our house has the primary bedroom/full bath upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs with a full bath. There is a full pullout couch downstairs in the common area. Path to your own private modern dock and views across the lake to the naturally preserved Andrews Park. Lake Glenville is the cleanest and the highest elevation east of the Mississippi (3,494 feet). Plenty of outdoor activities for fun seekers including fishing, kayaking, swimming, boating, waterfalls, and more. The space Located in The Point gated neighborhood at Lake Glenville, the main level of our home has an open living area with stone fireplace, whitewashed ship lap, pine tongue and groove ceilings, generously equipped kitchen, large sectional sofa and dining table. Upstairs, the master bedroom features a king size Tempur-Pedic bed, walk-in closet, view of the lake and tv. The second upstairs bedroom also offers a king size bed. There is a large upper deck furnished so that you can enjoy being outdoors in the fresh mountain air. The upper deck features a Blackstone grill and two tables for outdoor dining. Downstairs, the master bedroom also features a king size Tempur-Pedic bed, tv and view of the lake. The second downstairs bedroom can sleep max of 6- offers 2 twin size beds and 2 full beds (full size mattresses that could sleep 2 kids each). Also, downstairs, there is a media room with large sofa, 65" smart tv perfect for watching movies, air hockey table that converts into a mini ping pong table, darts and books and toys for kids. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Hot tub for relaxing with a gorgeous view of the lake. The lower deck is furnished with an outdoor sofa and two swivel chairs, perfect for relaxing outside with a lake view! ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA The quaint towns of Cashiers (a 20 minute drive away) and Highlands (a 30-40 minute drive away) offer antiquing, coffee shops, farmer's markets, great restaurants and various boutiques for shopping. There are plenty of activities for kids and adults including hiking, white water rafting, golf, tennis, gem mining, horseback riding and more! ACTIVITIES AT THE HOUSE We supply a 1 person kayak, 2 person canoe, paddle board and kids kayak for your enjoyment. Please return to their proper places in the same condition as when you checked in Swimming and fishing from the dock! Darts, air hockey, ping pong. Hot tubbing! BOATING & DOCK Our boat is docked and NOT available to rent but you can bring your own boat or rent one from Signal Ridge Marina, located on the lake. Just give us a 2 weeks notice so that we can relocate our boat so that you have the dock space. Please email your request as soon as you book. RULES Located in a quiet residential neighborhood with a number of year-round guests, we ask that you observe a "Good Neighbor Policy" by: - No fireworks. Fireworks are not permitted. - No smoking - No pets - QUIET TIME BEFORE 8AM AND AFTER 10PM. ****These rules will be strictly enforced.*** Guest access Private parking in driveway close to front door. Enough parking for 3 cars maximum. Gate code for neighborhood entry will be provided for access. Other things to note House is located in a somewhat remote mountain location at the end of a 5 minute one lane road with pull offs in case you meet another vehicle coming the other way. The closest grocery store, Ingles, is located in Cashiers, 10 miles away. We have high speed internet that is very reliable except during potential storms. Cellular reception can be spotty in the mountains. Although most cell phone carriers get reception, we have a AT&T booster that will give you full bars throughout the house. For our protection, we do have outdoor security cameras.

Scenic Mtn & Fairway Views: Cozy Cashiers Getaway

This cabin-like home is nestled on a hill beside a 250 foot waterfall. As the water cascades to the bottom it turns into a creek that wraps around the property. The waterfall and can be enjoyed from almost every room. The elevation is at 3800 ft providing perfect temperatures for most of the summer, hence, no air conditioning. There is a fully stocked, renovated kitchen and washer/dryer upstairs. The house is located 15 minutes from Cashiers which has restaurants and groceries. Guest access This rental is for the entire home. The master bedroom is on the main floor. Downstairs there are two additional bedrooms, one with a king bed, the other with two twin beds. Other things to note Cellphone service at the cabin is spotty and your cellphone may not work unless you turn it to "wifi". We provide a landline with unlimited local/long-distance for this reason. When you arrive, you will see a turnaround area in the driveway. We prefer to turn around here and back in the last few yards to the house which makes leaving easier. Summer weather is generally in the 70's low 80's during the day and 50's -60's at night. There are occasional warm days and the best way to handle the lack of AC is to close the windows in the morning to keep the cool air in. Please note that in the great room, the windows are double hung and to open them, you will pull the top window down. On cool nights, you may want to use the fireplace. There is wood outside, please open the flue. For heat, there are vents in each room with an on/off knob. In the kitchen, the vent is along the baseboard beneath the stove area. Please make sure all of the heat vents are turned off when you leave. There is also a propane heater which is very efficient and warms the great room. To turn it on do the following: 1) turn the stopcock on the line to 'on'--it will line up with the line. 2) turn the back switch on top of the unit to on. 3) turn the temperature dial a quarter turn and depress it into the slot, hold it down for sixty seconds. while holding it down, press the ignitor button to light the pilot. turn to desired temperature. Please note there is a Renter Info book at the house with all of this information.

This comfortable mountain getaway is conveniently located close to several mountain communities and outdoor recreation. The cabin is only 4 miles to Lake Glenville, 9 miles to Cashiers, 20 miles to Highlands and 20 miles to Sylva. The home is situated on a 2.5 acre lot in the Nantahala National Forest on Pilot Mountain. There are year round long range mountain views off the back deck and sounds of running water from Trout Creek can be heard below. The space The main level provides an open floor plan with the kitchen and breakfast bar opening up to the dining and living rooms. There are many large windows and a set of french doors that look out at the beautiful mountain views and Nantahala Forest. A stone wood burning fireplace is the focal point in the living and is complemented well by the beautiful surrounding pine walls. The entire home has hardwood floors that add to the home's mountain charm. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The primary bedroom is situated on the main level and is furnished with King bed. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are located on the second floor. One bedroom is furnished with a hickory style Queen bed and the third room with 2 sets of bunk beds, 1 bunked and 1 split as two singles. There is a pack-n-play and highchair available as well. The partially covered deck runs along the length of the house with plenty of seating and views of the mountains. There is also a covered carport that is perfect for extended outdoor entertaining and games. IMPORTANT WINTER NOTES: It doesn't snow much in Glenville, but when it does snow or if the roads ice you can not get to the cabin, or if you're at the cabin you can not leave until the ice on the roads thaw. The road to the cabin from the main road is not guaranteed to be plowed or salted. Other things to note Small children are welcome, but please keep in mind the house is on the side of a mountain and there isn't a grassy lawn area to play but there is a very large driveway area. The edge of the driveway has a steep dropoff and could be dangerous for children if unattended. Not suitable for trucks pulling trailers, campers or RVs. We have a Ring doorbell for security purposes that records those entering the home. There are no recording devices inside of the home.

The villa is only only 4.7 +/- miles outside of downtown Cashiers, not far from Highlands, close to a public beach for boating on the lake, and just around the corner from Signal Ridge Marina where you can rent boats and other devices to use on the lake. The space When you walk into the villa, stepping foot into the living area you'll notice the breathtaking view of Lake Glenville and the mountains, lush with vibrant colors during the spring, summer, and fall, and snow-topped during the winter months. The open floor plan connecting the living area, kitchen, and dining room and a skylight above the kitchen island boasts natural light. Of course, no mountain retreat would be complete without a large stacked-stone fireplace to take the chill off of cooler nights or curl up on the nap-worthy leather furniture with a good book and cozy blanket. There is a private deck off of the main level to appreciate the incredible view of Lake Glenville. As the home faces west, it's the perfect spot to relax and revel in the sunsets or simply enjoy the lakefront experience -- Lake Glenville even hosts 4th of July fireworks over the water, offering an exclusive view right from our house for the summer holiday. The main floor has the kitchen, great room, dining room, half bath and main deck with a weber propane grill. Once you head downstairs you're met with a captivating primary suite with a king bed, blackout shades, and it's own private deck overlooking Lake Glenville, a hot tub, and an exquisite ensuite bath. You'll also find a second bedroom equipped with a queen bed and ensuite bath, and a third room that has been converted into a bedroom. The primary and second bedroom both have spacious closets and their own attached baths.
