The first railway came to Blue Ridge at this time and provided an easy path from Atlanta. Overnight Blue Ridge became a boomtown. People flocked to this region to enjoy the fresh mountain air and cool climate. The same wonderful experiences are true today! Since its humble beginnings, a variety of new adventures are offered now including trails, waterfalls, Lake Blue Ridge, horseback riding, tubing, white water rafting, breweries, wineries, restaurants, shopping and a plethora of other attractions. A short and easy drive from Blue Ridge on Aska Road, that follows the Toccoa River, is just the introduction into the beauty and tranquility you will experience in the Aska Adventure area. Entry to the property is to the left side of the home using an entry code that will be provided prior to your arrival. Before you enter, walk around the wrap around porch and soak in the beauty of the North GA Mountains! It will just validate why you chose this property! You will enter directly into the dining and kitchen area into an open vaulted living room with floor to ceiling windows that showcase the view and allow the natural sunlight. The fully appointed kitchen features state of the art stainless steel appliances including a dual oven, for those large meals, dishwasher, side-by-side refrigerator with lower freezer, microwave and farmhouse sink. The dining table will sit eight and also has four additional bar stools at the large kitchen granite countertop. The living room has a large stone fireplace with gas logs, a large screen smart TV, two sofas and a retro record player with vintage records for that nostalgic vibe! It is the perfect place to gather as a family! The first of three bedrooms is located on the main level and this bedroom is just to the left of the kitchen featuring a queen bed. The bathroom is just outside the bedroom door and has a walk-in shower, vanity and a closet featuring a full size washer/dryer. One of the gems of this property is the screen-in porch located off the living room. It has a large seating area, smart TV, wood burning fireplace and dining table for seven people. Nestled in the heart of the Aska adventure region, in a very private setting, with a lovely view of the mountains, Waldhaus provides an amazing vacation escape! Bring your fur babies, soak in the hot tub, gather around the fire pit and enjoy the ample outdoor space. Three deck levels to relax, two living areas, three bedrooms, game room, level two car charger and more! Just minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and all the surrounding attractions. The space Located three minutes from the famous Toccoa Riverside Restaurant, just off Stanley Creek road, in the heart of the Aska adventure area. The drive is stunningly beautiful, meandering through beautiful thick forest and Toccoa River frontage providing an ultimate escape from the hustle of everyday life. The owner is from Austria and wanted to portray a little about her home land and named it Waldhaus, pronounced vˈaltha͡ʊs. The literal translation is The Forest House. The home is tastefully decorated to reflect the beautiful setting, nestled privately by surrounding woods, it provides a wonderful soothing environment, lovely view and ample outdoor space to absorb the healing features of nature! You will find several references/pictures of Austria throughout the cabin. Arriving through the gate from Stanley Creek Road, you will have a very short drive to the cabin. If you are driving an electric vehicle, park directly in line with the porch and the charger is just behind the bushes for easy access and charging. It is a level two quick charger. There are two additional parking spaces to the right of the cabin. The driveway and parking is all concrete for easy in/out access. The owners put a lot of time and thought into the property and have done several updates/renovations to add enjoyment for your stay. This includes new granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, new addition to the lower deck, new outdoor furniture, appliances, fixtures, mattresses and furniture in the living room and bedrooms. You will enter off the driveway through the front door leading directly into the main living area. Your initial welcome features vaulted ceilings and glass windows for natural lighting. To the left is the fully appointed kitchen with appliances, to the right is the dining area for six, and two additional bar stools at the kitchen island. The living room is directly off the kitchen and dining area with new furniture, large screen TV, gas fireplace with remote/timer, and access to the main level porch. The porch has a very comfortable outdoor daybed, seating, picnic table, gas grill and offers a beautiful view of the mountains and surrounding woods. It overlooks the fire pit area and has gates so your fur baby can join you, run free and be safe while you relax. You can also access the lower level and fire pit area from the main level porch. Back inside the main level has a king bedroom, with a full bathroom across the hall with vanity and walk-in shower. It also has a full size washer and dryer. The upper level has a study loft with desk, lamp and chair, and a telescope to enjoy the clear night skies. The king master suite bedroom is also on the upper level with a full bathroom featuring a shower, soaking tub, and dual vanities and walk-in closet. There is a private screened balcony with two new glider chairs, table and gas fire table to enjoy the beautiful evenings as a couple. Access to the lower level is directly off the kitchen. It leads to an additional living area with a queen sofa bed, oversized chairs, games, pool table, chess table, and arcade game. There is also a gated cubby area, with a cozy bed, under the stairs for your furry family member. The third bedroom is on the lower level. It features a queen bed, twin bunk beds and private full bathroom with tub/shower combo. You can access the lower porch from the second living area. It includes a hot tub, wooden picnic table, additional seating and expanded deck with cover and uncovered areas. There are stairs to the upper deck location and stairs, with rails, leading down to the fire pit for safe access. Cornhole and horseshoes are provided for family fun! Please note: the hanging hammock chairs are no longer available at the property. Just off the fire pit is a trail that goes through the adjoining lot and comes out beside the house in front of the extended driveway section. The space This cabin is "not your average bear." Many mountain rentals are on the generic side—but not this one! The warmth and charm of this place will blow you away. It is filled with Appalachian arts and crafts (including a collection of storied mountain face jugs) and American antiques. It has the look and feel of an authentic home away from home, and is a collector's paradise. Aside from the uniqueness, this cabin boasts many amenities, such as a LARGE UPDATED KITCHEN that is fully equipped for all your day to day cooking needs and any utensil or cookware you can imagine. The driveway is pretty steep to get up to that million dollar view in the mountains, so we highly recommend coming with a 4WD vehicle. This is a pet-free rental. Other things to note Things to consider: -Aska Stargazer is equipped with security cameras that face away from the cabin at the front door and parking area. -Access to this property is via an inclined gravel drive. You might be nervous driving on this surface the first time or two, but you get used to it quickly. AWD is recommended and will make it easier, but not required, and there are alternative routes. -We recommend arriving during daylight the first time, if possible, as there are no street lights on the gravel drive. However, there is landscape lighting that automatically comes on at dusk around the home itself. -Our cabin is in the woods in the mountains, home to wildlife of many kinds, and critters of the four or more legs varieties. We have regular pest control, and, within reason, we are glad to send them out between regular visits if you see anything you are bothered by.

Outside, you'll see the cozy fire pit, perfect for those summer nights or cool fall evenings roasting marshmallows or telling tall tales about the Rainbow trout you caught in the near by Toccoa River or the famed Fightingtown or Noontootla Creeks.  Inside the main level, industrial meets rustic in the charming, yet posh decor of this cozy, luxe cabin. The kitchen has granite counter tops, custom built rough-sawn cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. You'll also enjoy the breakfast bar in the kitchen with three stools for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The dining table seats six comfortably with chairs and bench. The main level stone fireplace has gas logs and features a large TV and surrounded by comfy seating. This level also has a beautiful bath with a gleaming tile and glass shower, granite counter topped vanity that adjoins the main level King size bedroom. This bedroom boasts a large TV as well as door leading to the main level deck. The main level deck has beautiful vintage style cafe string lights that create a gorgeous ambiance in this already lovely space . The main level covered porch also has lots of plush seating, and outdoor dining table, and gas grill.  Head up the roughsawn staircase to find the upper level bedroom which features a King size bed, TV, and gorgeous upgraded bathroom with a tile and glass shower & granite bathroom vanity.  Head downstairs to enjoy the awesome game room! Here you can find the second gas log fireplace, cozy seating, large TV, pool table, wet bar and third bedroom. The granite counter topped wet bar features lots of prep space for snacks, cocktails and even has a handy mini fridge! Our cabin is located 20 minutes from downtown Blueridge. Enjoy the peace and quiet as you relax on a wraparound porch with a beautiful view! We have two bedrooms and a loft for a total of two queen beds and two full-size beds. Each bedroom has a TV and bathroom. Downstairs, in the unfinished basement, there is a game room with a pool table, foosball table, and pingpong. You may also enjoy the hot tub with a gorgeous view of Rich Mountain! 3 Bed 2 Bath Cabin located on 150ft of Upper Toccoa River frontage in the heart of the Aska adventure area! Listen to the sounds of the river while taking in the views, sitting fireside on the banks of the best trout fishing river in GA! Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, hiking, tubing, and trophy trout fishing right outside the front door. Surrounded by national forest, hiking and mountain bike trails, yet 10-15 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge, restaurants, Lake Blue Ridge and more! The space All 3 Bedrooms are located on the 2nd level of the house. There is 1 full bath on the 2nd level and another full bath on the main level. The Master Bedroom (Queen Bed) & the 2nd Bedroom with 2 Full Twins share 1 full bathroom on the 2nd level. The 3rd bedroom (Queen Bed) in the top of the "bunkhouse" does not have a bathroom. You will have to go through the house to either access the full bath on the main level or the 2nd level in between the Master Bedroom and 2nd Bedroom. The River Pavilion across Shallowford Bridge Road is part of the property and guests have full private access to it.
