Venture out into the side yard for the new firepit with chairs. There are several steps to the front porch or a ramp entry by the screened porch. Additionally, the presence of iron in the water may cause staining, leading to a yellow tint in areas where water is frequently used, such as showers, sinks, and toilets and the hot tub. 🍷If you are pregnant or have been drinking, we recommend you do not use the hot tub. 🧼Many people have sensitive skin, which is why we recommend bringing your personal soaps, shampoos, and toiletries. The space The front porch rocking chairs invite you to slow down and breathe in the fresh, mountain air. You can begin your day there with a hot cup of coffee; and when the days’ activities have ended, relax and unwind in the tranquil hot tub. The Little Woodstar kitchen is fully equipped for all your culinary needs, and when the menu calls for steaks or burgers, the outdoor grill can get the job done. The living room provides a flat-screen TV with cable, along with an electric fireplace for keeping you warm on those chilly mountain nights. There is a king-sized bed in the master bedroom to ensure plenty of room for a great night’s sleep; and the living room sofa pulls out into a queen bed for additional sleeping arrangements. Guests must obtain permission from the Owner to have pets on the Rental Property. If permission is not given by the Owner, any pet(s) found in or about the Rental Property will be grounds for expedited eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid. No refunds will be provided due to inoperable appliances, pools, hot tubs, elevators, etc. The Owner will make every reasonable effort to assure that such appliances will be and remain in good working order. No refunds will be given due to power blackouts, water shortage, flooding, snow, construction at adjacent properties, or mandatory evacuations of the area by county officials due to hurricanes or other potentially dangerous situations arising from acts of God or nature. Guest is responsible for all shipping costs for any Lost and Found items that Owner is requested to return to Guest. Items found and not claimed within 30 days will be disposed of at the discretion of Owner. If a hot tub or pool is provided at the Rental Property, it will be prepared and tested for proper and safe chemicals prior to or on the day of occupancy. Misuse of a hot tub or pool by the spilling of foreign substances into the pool, i.e. soap, shampoo, oils, glass or metal will result in a Service Call Charge at the sole discretion of Owner. Under no circumstances are pets allowed in pools or hot tubs. Violation of this provision shall be grounds for expedited eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid. In the event Owner is unable to make Rental Property available for any reason other than described above or a reasonable substitute as determined by Owner, Guest agrees that Owner's sole liability as a result of this unavailability is to provide a full refund of all monies paid under this Agreement and Guest expressly acknowledges that in no event shall Owner be held liable for any special or consequential damages which result from this unavailability. Guest also agrees to indemnify Owner from and against liability for injury to Guest or any other person occupying Rental Property resulting from any cause whatsoever including, but not limited to, injury sustained as a result of use of the spa, hot tub, sauna, whirlpool tub, etc. except only such a personal injury caused by the gross negligence or intentional acts of the Owner. Owner may terminate this Agreement upon the breach of any of the terms hereof by Guest. Guest shall not be entitled to the return of any rental monies paid under the terms of this Agreement and shall vacate the Property immediately. Agreement shall be enforced under the laws of the state within which the Rental Property is located, including any applicable rental acts of that state, and represents the entire Agreement. Any amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties. In the event of a dispute, legal action may only be instituted in the county within which the Rental Property is located. If any part of this Agreement shall be deemed unenforceable by law, that part shall be omitted from this Agreement without affecting the remaining Agreement. Guest fully understands and acknowledges that outdoor recreational activities have inherent risks, dangers and hazards. Participation in such activities and/or use of equipment may result in injury or illness including, but not limited to bodily injury, disease, strains, fractures, partial and/or total paralysis, death or other ailments that could cause serious disability. It then resumes normal water pressure as you continue to turn it all the way to the left. In order to get the hottest water, leave the knob in the position directly after the shower head regains water pressure. Turning the knob completely to the left will give you warm/hot water but not the hottest. GRILL: the grill set can be found in the kitchen cabinet with the pots and pans. If using the propane grill, please remember to TURN OFF GRILL AND PROPANE each time you’re done grilling. LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS in the rare case that a bear tries to test drive your vehicle. And, especially at night, don't leave your car doors open so racoons don't mistake you for an uber ride. NOTE ABOUT PESTS Our cabin is treated regularly by professional pest control to help minimize unwanted visitors. However, due to the unique environment of the Smoky Mountains, occasional encounters with pests are unavoidable, especially during seasonal changes. Fat Bottomed Squirrels, located near the top of Bluff Mountain, is a quiet, treasured getaway. Perfect for a honeymoon or romantic getaway. Enjoy the magnificent mountain views without ever having to leave your Smoky Mountain cabin. Fat Bottomed Squirrels is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, studio style cabin located about 5 miles from downtown Pigeon Forge. There are phenomenal views from this intimate cabin - you can see forever! The space The cabin is a studio log cabin with a great Smoky Mountain view. Enjoy the covered deck with views for miles, hot tub and charcoal grill (charcoal not supplied). Inside there is massive, hand-crafted queen-size log bed. The cabin has a fully stocked kitchen w/ dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, Keurig. It features a nice open floor plan with flat screen HDTV with cable, DVD player and Netflix, electric fireplace, and all linens supplied. Of course there is running water, central air/heat and high speed WiFi Internet. Enjoy the convenience to area attractions like Dixie Stampede, Dollywood, and The Christmas Place. The road up to the cabin is very STEEP. The access road to this cabin is paved but does have an incline. At times it narrows to one lane. It's about 1/2 mile of steepness. We can make it up in a Prius with no problem. This cabin is not for the less adventurous type. If you want flat roads this is not for you. If you want to be near the park with a breathtaking view and hiking nearby... look no further! Motorcycles and trailers are not recommended. 4-wheel drive is recommended for adverse winter conditions. No refunds for weather or driving issues. There is a floodlight camera on the exterior of the cabin to monitor the entryway. It lights the walkway for our guests, captures video of any wildlife that wanders near the cabin, and helps with weather monitoring and occupancy compliance. There are only 5 other cabins on the road and thanks to this one’s location you have complete privacy. Minimum age 21 to reserve the cabin. Guest access You get the entire cabin to yourself. It's always a perfect time to visit The Great Smoky Mountains. During winter, you will be treated to the gorgeous scenery of the area. January to June are a special times in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Many areas are gaily decorated for Winter, including Dollywood, the Village of Gatlinburg and Avery's Love. Mt. Leconte can sometimes be seen while driving in the area. The forest around the cabin creates a feeling of serenity. Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville are nearby, with numerous activities, shows, restaurants, and shopping. Except in Winter, don't be surprised if you see a bear wandering around or begging for food. DON'T FEED THE BEARS. Enjoy observing them in their natural habitat. This is their home, and they wander The Great Smoky Mountains. My cabin is on a rigorous program to take care of small creatures, bugs, insects, etc. However, this is the mountains, their habitat, and part of the ecosystem. Occasionally, you may encounter them outside and inside the cabin. FYI: the jets of the jetted bathtub were damaged by a recent guest. The bathtub is usable, but just as a tub. For a relaxing spa experience, the Hot Tub on the deck is wonderful. Location Information Directions: From Pigeon Forge: turn onto Hwy 321S (Wears Valley Rd) and travel 2.7 miles to a Right onto Walden’s Creek Rd. Go 0.5 mi and turn right onto Goose Gap Rd, then travel another 0.5 mi and turn Left onto Bluff Mtn Rd. Continue 1.5 miles and turn right onto Foxwell and then take an immediate LEFT to the first cabin on the RIGHT. #2305 . Don’t be confused by the road name of Deer Valley Way on the map. Subdivision Name: Bluff Mtn Acres The easier way to navigate is to enter the cabin address in Sevierville, TN into the GPS navigation that you use. Once on the map, you will see your destination at the end of the highlighted route. This is where you are staying. Parking for 2 vehicles is available on the side of the cabin. For your safety and the safety of your car, ensure one vehicle is parked close to the fence in the parking area with no part hanging onto the roadway. All Smart TVs offer the ability for the guest to use their personal log-in information for their streaming service(s) of choice. Remember to log out of your service before checking out. I strongly recommend all guests purchase TRIP INSURANCE. As a reminder, my cancellation policy is Firm. Read the cancellation policy details. *ARRIVALS & ROADS: Guests are encouraged to arrive during daylight hours on their first day. The roads from the Parkway are well-paved, narrow, and winding. The road is large enough for two-way traffic, and most drivers are comfortable driving it in the dark after having driven it during daylight. WINTER: From November 1 through March 31, a 4-wheel drive vehicle (or bring snow chains for any 2-wheel drive vehicle) is HIGHLY recommended to safely travel on mountain roads. The roads offer beautiful views as they wind through the mountains and the valley. Again, I strongly recommend purchasing TRAVEL INSURANCE. Guest access A stone path or a mulch path lead from the parking area to the front porch with 2 steps to reach the front door. There is a digital lock on the front door. Guest will receive their personal code to the door the day before check-in. This code is NOT for the lock box. Other things to note I highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance. I have a Firm cancellation policy. If the reservation is cancelled 30+ days before check-in, 100% refund. 15-29 days before check-in, 50% refund. This is a beautiful log cabin is located 16 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains national park and 6 miles from the Island in Pigeon Forge and Dollywood! The space This is a fully furnished 1 bedroom 1 bathroom log cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked with modern appliances, cookware, Keurig individual cup coffee maker, and dining table in the breakfast nook. The deck provides great mountain views with two hammock style swings, outdoor dining table, and hot tub. Be prepared to spend the majority of your time enjoying the outdoors on this very relaxing deck! The living room has full size sofa, smart Roku TV, and easy start gas fireplace! The bedroom includes a king size bed, Roku TV, stacked washer and dryer, and armoire. There is also a private bath that with complimentary soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body wash! Guest access Entire cabin. Other things to note The cabin is in the woods so you will most likely see or hear critters. Since this cabin is on a mountain, there is a short stretch of road that is on a fairly steep incline leading to the paved parking by the side of the cabin. For the safety of our guests, there are two floodlight style security cameras on the property. One is located on the side of the cabin facing the parking area. The other is facing the front door. There are no cameras indoors or on the back patio. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or are pregnant. Use the hot tub at your own risk! Unfortunately, there is no late check-out or early check-in. If a guest does not vacate the property by 10 am on their scheduled day of departure, there will be a fee of $50.00 administered for the first half hour and $100.00 for each subsequent half hour that the guest fails to vacate the property. No refunds for weather/natural disasters/ power outages/ other events that are beyond our control. While we love our pets, we will not be allowing any pets to join you during your stay.
