This cozy cottage is located directly on Little Traverse Lake. It has a fully stocked kitchen, outdoor grill area with picnic tables on a spacious deck. There are 4 bedrooms/2 full bathrooms. Come enjoy a relaxing visit to Northern Michigan. Float in the crystal-clear lake or build a campfire on the sandy beach and make some s’mores. This house can be rented alone, or we also own the house next door (3b/2.5ba) that can be rented in addition. The space The location of the cottage is perfect for experiencing all the county has to offer. We are located between Leland and Glen Arbor. You can take a trip north to see Fishtown in Leland, or continue on to Northport. Head south to spend some time in Glen Arbor and Empire. Trails across the lake lead you out to the National Lakeshore, where you can walk on the beaches of Lake Michigan for miles. Our cottage is located across from Market 22 (an excellent restaurant) and less than a mile away from Little Traverse Inn, a restaurant, historic landmark, and one of the first "hotels" in Leelanau County. The "South Cub House" has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom has a king bed, the second has a queen, the third is a bunk room that has 2 bunks with full beds on bottom and twins on top, and the fourth bedroom has a full bed. The back two rooms are connected and share a bathroom, making it perfect for a family. The entire front of the house boasts windows directly overlooking Little Traverse Lake, providing breathtaking views of the lake and its spectacular sunsets. The house has a fireplace, a fully-stocked kitchen, dining area, and living room, all overlooking the lake. There is a large deck with a gas grill and counters making grill nights easy. There is also a fire pit in front, nestled in the sand, perfect for a campfire and some evening s'mores. Come enjoy a perfect northern Michigan getaway! A mooring ball just beyond it is available for mooring between boat rides. Winds and waves pick up super-quick and can cause damage to boats and docks. There are no protective dock bumpers to prevent potential boat-docking issues.

Therefore, please make sure to keep children away when having a campfire, keep flames lower than 3 feet, and be sure to fully douse the flames when you're finished with your fire by dumping a full gallon of water on the fire/coals until they are completely dark.

Camp Haven! A spacious lakefront cottage to relax and gather with family/friends in the heart of scenic Sleeping Bear Dunes Nat'l Park. Lake/beach/boat access on the stunningly beautiful Little Glen Lake out the back door. It is across the street from a 22-mile paved trail that meanders through peaceful wooded dunes and scenic hikes. Quaint pubs and ice cream shops are just 5 miles either direction in Empire and Glen Arbor. Add'l Camp Haven cabins available onsite w/shared waterfront. The space Camp Haven is a property with 4 cottages situated on 100 feet of footage on beautiful Glen Lake. Three of the cottages share the waterfront. It is owned by 8 college roommates - and one husband - who purchased it in 2021 to create a special place for friends and family to gather. This spacious, bright, 3-story cottage is the perfect base camp to work or play with friends and family, as it includes both large spaces to spend time together and small, quiet corners to just retreat and relax with a book. It is recently renovated and has fast wifi and new beds. However, please note it is still a simple up north cottage- not a luxury hotel but a comfortable place to relax with friends and family. Camp Haven is geared toward families and we ask all our guests to respect 10pm quiet hours when in outdoor areas. This is located in an area with many cottages nearby, so to be respectful of our neighbors, please do not book for loud late night parties. The first floor has a full in-law suite with bed/bath and kitchen, as well as two additional bedrooms and another full bath. The second floor has two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and another kitchen/dining/living room area. The third floor is open loft great for lounging, playing, studying, or even yoga. NOTE: The beach and lawn area are shared with other cottages, and this cottage also has its own patio area and two balconies facing the shared waterfront. Guests have access to shared basic watercraft (basic kayaks and paddleboat), glorious sunrises, and a wonderful, shallow lake that is perfect for family swims and paddles. Do beware that Little Glen Lake can be prone to swimmer's itch in the summer, so we recommend families take steps to prevent it (apply sunscreen prior to entering lake, wash off with soap after time in the lake). We ask all guests to respect quiet hours in outdoor common areas after 10pm. Please note no pets are allowed in this unit. Our other two units do allow pets so you may see other guests with pets, and we ask that people leash pets in common areas unless other guests specifically say they are okay with them. Guest access The house has a large gravel lot with parking for up to 4 vehicles. It shared with two other cottages. Other things to note Camp Haven has 4 cottages in total -contact the host to book all 4 cottages (15 bedrooms) for family reunion next summer.

The space Two distinct sections of this vacation home  The classic Style Cottage on one floor: -Large living area with lake views, small kitchen, NOTE: Fieldstone fireplace is not useable.  -Full Bathroom with walk in shower -Bedroom with Queen Bed, and Bedroom with 2 twin beds on the main floor *This area does have window air conditioning units as well as other portable air conditioners. It is not possible to have central air in this house. **This side of the home is closed off for the winter months beginning on November 1st and opening back up on May 15th due to it being originally an old cabin with no insulation.  Modern home section - 2-stories Main floor: -Full kitchen, seated dining table for 8 with lake view -Bedroom with Queen bed, TV, portable a/c unit, and attached full bathroom with tub and shower.  2nd floor: -2 bedrooms each with Queen beds, both with tv's and portable a/c units.  -In upstairs sitting area (w/ TV) the large cushioned seat is also a daybed. -One full bathroom with shower only NOTE: there is an additional vanity with a sink upstairs near bedrooms Other things to note The cabin side of the house is only available from May 15 until late October, depending on temperatures, as there is no heat or insulation on that side of the house. Cleaning fees and prices will be lowered to match that time period. Please note, that since this is an older house, it does not have central air conditioning and is not possible to have it installed as there is no ductwork. Portable a/c units and windows units are installed in every bedroom during the summer, but the older section of the house can still get rather warm during the warmer months.

The space On the main level, you'll find a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, a large dining area, and a spacious layout that makes group meals easy and enjoyable. There's a king bedroom with an ensuite full bath featuring a stand-up shower, along with an additional half bath. Upstairs, the second floor has three bedrooms. One has a queen bed. Another has two queen beds along with a twin daybed and twin trundle. The third has a queen-over-twin bunk bed. There are two full bathrooms upstairs, one with a tub and shower combination and another with a stand-up shower. A laundry room with a washer and dryer is also on this floor, along with a cozy sitting area and streaming-enabled TV.
