This unit has a great split level setup with the kitchen/living room upstairs, a bedroom on the entry level and 2 bedroom suites downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, it features granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and high end cabinetry. It also has a bar height counter that has barstools and is convenient for keeping your chef company as well as serving up some drinks, apps, or meals. The living room has a warm gas fireplace, large HDTV, and views of the Steamboat Ski Resort. The dining room is adjacent to the kitchen and living room. Off the dining area you will find a large covered balcony with dining for 6. This is a great place for your morning coffee or an afternoon refreshment. If you're hoping to grill, you're in luck as the owners have provided a gas grill for your convenience.   The King bedroom is on the lower level. There's an HDTV on the dresser adjacent to the bed to enjoy. The updated ensuite bathroom is the largest of the 3 bathrooms and has a walk-in shower. The second lower level bedroom has a queen bed and is just as nice as the King bedroom. It has a walk out patio that directly overlooks Burgess Creek. The ensuite bath has a nicely tiled walk in shower. The third bedroom, on the entry level, is great in terms of versatile sleeping arrangements. It's an extra long full bed over queen bunk so can accommodate up to 4 guests or just 2 guests, if you want the beds to yourselves. The third bathroom is adjacent to this bedroom and has a tub/shower combo.  There are also some bonus spaces in the condo. When you enter, there's a place to sit down and remove your boots or shoes, plus a coat closet. Also in that entryway is a closet that is home to the private washer and dryer. Head down out of the unit and you'll find some nice amenities, including the very large fitness center and the Burgess Creek-side pool and hot tub area. Relax in the sun with the sounds of flowing water.   Location: This condo has a location that is ideal in ski season or any other. For a ski vacation, being close to the slopes is a big plus, being close to the ski school, ticket office, and key ski lifts is also important. It would also be really nice to have groceries, restaurants, ski & snowboard rental shops, and maybe a few bars close by. This condo's location gives you very close proximity to all of that, and more. The Wild Plum has groceries, a deli and cafe, as well as liquor, wine, and beer. It is only about 100 yards away. Right across the street from that is the Village Center. Its shops and restaurants offer coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, ski and snowboard rentals. The edge of the ski slopes, Gondola Square, ski school, and ticket office are only about 250-300 meters from the condo. It's a very easy and gentle walk, short and easy enough to make with ski boots on, carrying equipment, or walking with kids. Need to add or shed a layer of clothing during your ski day, or want to come home for lunch? You can do so when you stay here.   Guests in spring, summer and fall will love the location too. The ski area base comes alive with all the same restaurants and bars, plus there are many more activities to enjoy. Ski trails turn into grassy meadows, hiking and biking trails. Burgess Creek flows through the base area and the condo's balcony backs directly up to the Creek. The flows through the base area are at a controlled volume, so the water level is always perfect for dipping your toes. Along the creek and next to the Gondola are lots of adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and even a couple of beach areas. Kids will have a blast! The mountain coaster is open in winter and summer, but in summer, you also have lots of other fun family activities, such as mini-golf, a ropes course, tubing, and more. There are art shows, events and festivals, movie nights, free concerts, it's a great place to be! At the condo building, Burgess Creek flows at higher volumes, creating the sound of a rushing river in spring. Also right outside is the Burgess Creek trail and the Mt. Werner trail, which is a paved path that leads down to Casey's Pond, the Yampa River and the Yampa River Core Trail. In the ski season, holiday lighting adds to the winter wonderland experience. During spring, summer, and fall, the beautifully landscaped grounds are a treat. On site amenities include 4 different pools and 10 hot tubs, tennis & pickleball courts, a fitness center, locker rooms & sauna, a large clubhouse with front desk and concierge, and more. One of the pools is right outside the condo with the other 3 all within 100 meters or so. The clubhouse pool is an indoor / outdoor pool, which means that on those cold winter days, you can enter and exit the pool inside, away from the cold air and wind. Kids love swimming in and out of this area too. Right next to the clubhouse pool is an outdoor lounge and picnic area with gas grills, dining tables, and a firepit, all available for your enjoyment.   Location: This property has an exceptional location in the heart of the Mountain Village. Trappeur's Crossing is a short, easy, and flat walk from the heart of the ski area base, Steamboat Square. Bear Lodge is the closest of the Trappeur's buildings to Steamboat Square and all of the ski resort's base area lifts. Just walk about 100 yards and you'll have come to the intersection of Apres Ski Way and Village Drive. Here you'll find a small grocery, deli, restaurant, liquor and wine store called The Wild Plum. Cross the street and walk another 100 yards and you'll be at the edge of the slopes in Steamboat Square. That's right, you only walk about 200 yards from this condo to the slopes and the center of our resort's base area! Besides the slopes, the ski school is the first thing you come to. It is very easy to drop off your kids and head back to the condo or up onto the slopes, as well as to pick them up when you're heading home. In fact, with a very straightforward walk, only crossing one intersection with a 4 way stop and crosswalks, many kids can head home without assistance. The Gondolas, the Christie Peak Express lift, and the ticket office are right here too. So are many restaurants and bars, free concerts, special events, and activities galore. Remember this, though, If you don't feel like walking, all you have to do is use the free private shuttle that runs all ski season. They'll take you to and from anywhere in town! In summer, the base area is even more kid friendly than it is during ski season. When all the snow melts, Burgess Creek flows through the area, but the water level is controlled to be at a flow level that is ideal for kids to splash around. There are even a couple of "beaches" along the creek. There are also tons of activities, many restaurants and bars, as well as a large stage. This area plays host to movie nights, free concerts, art shows, hot air balloon glows, and more.   Don't forget, the ski area sits on national forest. So your condo is literally right next to a national forest trailhead. You can hike or bike from your door! You can also ride up the Gondola for food, beverages, amazing views, sunsets, or to hike and bike around to the highest parts of the ski area with a 2000 vertical foot head start! This area is also connected to other trails too. The Mountain Sneak trail, Mt. Werner trail, and Burgess Creek trail all converge within 100 yards of The Bear Lodge. These paved trails are perfect for walking, strolling, and they connect with the Yampa River Core Trail, which leads to downtown Steamboat, the Emerald Mountain trail system, and beyond. Everything is right out your door.   Arrival, Access, and Parking: Once you book, we're here to support you. Remember this, though, If you don't feel like walking, or there is inclement weather, all you have to do is call the front desk for the free private shuttle. It is available during ski season and can transport you to the slopes or anywhere else in town! That said, this location really is a pretty short walk from the heart of the ski area base - Steamboat Square. The "Mountain Sneak" trail runs right past Champagne Lodge, and leads directly to the slopes. Within about 300 meters, you'll come to Apres Ski Way. You can ski right back to this point, conditions permitting. Here you'll also find a small grocery, deli, restaurant, liquor and wine store called The Wild Plum. You'll also find a ski rental shop, burger joint, and Storm Peak Brewery's beer hall. Cross the street and walk another 100 meters and you'll be at the edge of Steamboat Square. That's right, you only walk about 400 meters from this condo to the slopes and the center of our resort's base area! Besides the slopes, the ski school is the first thing you come to. It is very easy to drop off your kids and head back to the condo or up onto the slopes, as well as to pick them up when you're heading home. In fact, with a very straightforward walk, only crossing one intersection with a 4 way stop and crosswalks, many kids can head home without assistance. The two Gondolas, the Christie Peak Express lift, and the ticket office are right here too. So are many restaurants and bars, free concerts, special events, and activities galore. In summer, the base area is so kid friendly, with lots of activities to enjoy. Burgess Creek flows through the base area with a controlled water level that flows through at a level that is ideal for kids who want to splash around. There are beaches and plenty of places to relax along the creek and there are many restaurants and bars, so its a popular place. With a large stage, this area plays host to movie nights, free concerts, art shows, hot air balloon glows, and more. Don't forget, the ski area sits on national forest.
