Guests have access to entire home except locked homeowners closet. Roslyn tourist season starts in May. The sun is warm and much drier than Seattle weather! Note: as autumn turns to winter after sustained snow accumulation the road closes and is only accessible by snow machine or walking. (Typically late December) Winter access can vary, and after about 1 foot of snow the road becomes only accessible by snow machine, or walking. Snowmobile rentals are available about a mile or two down the road. Many people choose to walk to their places in winter. About a 20 minute walk in, or .6 of a mile. I am happy to assist with my new “ Snowcat “ tracked vehicle getting all your gear and people to the cabin, which I recommend. I will always update, and help plan your arrival before booking date. Walking out to your vehicle is rather easy. I provide a cargo sled for your things when you leave that you may leave by my vehicle in lot. If I am around, I may offer a ride down the hill in my vehicle. Offering transportation is a courtesy, not a part of the reservation. No other host in this development offers this service to their guests as far as I know. Choose carefully how you will get to these snowbound properties! Lake water levels are full in spring and fully- leaved trees go underwater for a few weeks and emerge alive as the lake drops! Grass grows 6 feet high in acres of meadows, all walkable and safe for kids and pets. One of the most unique features I have ever seen. Salmon La Sac is a few miles west with stunning views and hikes, fishing in Cooper Lake. Ellensburg Canyon: Take second Ellensburg exit heading east on I-90. Head south on canyon road. Follows the Yakima River through the foothills. Dry scablands, easy or aggressive hikes, river footbridge, river floating, fishing, great bicycle route. Keep driving to Yakima where wineries abound! Take a bubbly bath in the jetted tub and put on your favorite show while you relax in style. ✧ Living Rooms (2) ✧ The living room is furnished with a flat-screen TV where you'll be able to enjoy Netflix, YouTube Premium, and an array of board games. Additional street parking on the way to the cabin is easy to access and only about a 5-7 minute walk away. *Snowy Season* During the snowy months (typically December - April), the road is closed to wheeled vehicles and parking before the gate is required. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the cabin depending on parking availability near the gate during this time of year. The space Our home has 3 levels, a bedroom with a king bed on the main floor with a newly remodeled 3/4 bathroom attached, a full kitchen, dining room, and living room. On the upper floor there is a bedroom with a queen bed, and a bathroom with a shower, and a lounge area with a TV for all to share. The basement area has a large bedroom with 2 queen beds and a full bathroom as well. A/C is there for those hot summer months when you need to escape the heat! Guest access One main entrance to left of the house. The access pin will be given to you before you arrive. Winter can add a bit of adventure to getting to the cabin. Once there’s enough snow (typically December through March), the neighborhood roads close to cars, and all visitors must hike or arrive on a snowmobile or tracked vehicle. You can walk from the parking lot (10 minutes or less) or arrange a ride with our heated neighborhood taxi. If you choose to walk, we recommend bringing a big backpack and/or a sled to carry your things. The roads are groomed, so no snowshoes are needed. Please feel free to message us about conditions and check with WSDOT about nearby road conditions over the mountain passes. You can also rent snowmobiles from The Last Resort, just five minutes away, and even have them delivered to your parking spot. Enjoy activities throughout the seasons, rounded out by relaxation at the cabin by toasting marshmallows around the outdoor fire pit or soaking in the 6-person hot tub. A wood-burning stove, gas grill, and fire table on the balcony add to the easy warmth of the home no matter what time of year. The space As you enter the neighborhood, you'll notice that the cabin is situated at the end of a private road surrounded by tall trees. Perched atop a small hill at the end of a long driveway, the cabin is set back from the road, affording privacy. Ample parking and contactless check-in ensure that your trip begins with ease. The entrance is on the ground floor which also has a large bedroom with a full-over queen bunk bed, twin bed, and trundle bed. This fun room houses a media center with tv, games, puzzles, and books. A full bathroom with a shower is located just outside the downstairs bedroom. Upstairs, there is an open concept kitchen with a family room and wood-burning stove. This great room opens up to a balcony with a gas grill, fire table, and balcony furniture. A cabin-themed bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom are found on the second floor, as is a bedroom with a queen-size bed. Additionally, there is a bathroom on the second floor that is connected to the 2nd bedroom. This can be locked off from the hallway for complete privacy if so desired. Floor-to-ceiling windows facing the lake; open concept common area; 3 levels and 3 separate outdoor spaces allow family and friends to come together and spread out. The space **NEWLY ADDED AIR CONDITIONING!!** The interior of our cabin is thoughtfully laid out between three levels: - Main Floor (middle level): Open concept kitchen (fully stocked! incl. all cooking appliances you can think of and Keurig coffee bar), dining room, living room with wood burning fireplace. Wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows with view of the lake through the pines. Large deck off the living area facing the lake with dining table and propane BBQ grill for lovely indoor/outdoor living. Bathroom with spa-like soaking tub. - Upstairs: Open loft with queen bed. Attached 1/2 bathroom. Closet space. - Downstairs: Private bedroom with queen bed. Rec room area with two bunk beds, futon, comfy oversized chair, cozy gas fireplace, TV (including Roku and plenty of DVDs for the whole family), Xbox 360, and high-top table for games & puzzles (tons included).
