This is an all season spacious waterfront vacation log home near the water's edge of crystal clear Newfound Lake in Hebron NH. This is an excellent location for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and winter skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling. The space Spacious 2900 sq feet of Log home living space and two car garage for boat and snowmobile storage. Full glass front overlooking a large deck with open concept Kitchen, Living Room and Dining Room with full length stone fireplace wall. Large outdoor deck with partial view of lake and trees and beach area. This is an all year, four season vacation rental. Great for all year family vacations - summer, fall, winter and spring swimming, hiking snowmobiling and skiing. This large spacious log home was completed redone in 2023. It shares a semi-private beach with access to 110' foot of shore front on Newfound Lake. The view from the glass front and deck is partial through the trees but the treed shore and beach area is steps away and water's edge is 75 yards from front deck. This tree shaded and open beach area is shared with only one other home. Five bedrooms total and two additional sleeping areas with pull out sofa beds for a total of 10 beds (1 King, 3 Queen, 2 Full, 2 Twin, 1 full sofa bed, 1 super queen sofa bed. Two bedrooms on main floor each with Queen bed plus one bathroom between with tub/shower on first floor. Second floor has one oversized king bedroom with couch and 65" TV. A bunk room with two sets of log bunk beds - full and twin combo bunk beds. A nook in upstairs hallway has full sofa bed and table and chairs just outside the bunk room door. Additional sleeping space with American Leather high quality super queen pull put sofa located in loft/game room with balcony overlooking living room. Basement bedroom with walkout patio doors with log queen bed, 60" TV, couch and 42" table and chairs good for desk. There is full glass front and cathedral ceiling with large walk out screen doors and deck from living room and dining. Perfect for sharing with two families or with grandparents. This log home is located on the West shore of Newfound Lake in the town of Hebron, NH. It is situated down a private dirt road in a protected cove. The view from the beach is looking at the widest part of the lake in a very peaceful and quiet part of the lake. This glacial lake is a beauty in the middle of New Hampshire and is 2.5 miles wide and 7 miles long, reaching depths of up to 180 feet, with 22 miles of shoreline. The water, fed by eight springs, is considered the most pristine in the state. The Lakes Region of New Hampshire is such a wonderful vacation spot for so many people year after year. Newfound Lake had many camps. The greatest impact on Hebron from the establishment of these camps, especially the ones that survive to this day, was unintentional. Large areas of shoreline and many acres of surrounding land have been kept in natural condition because of these camps. Further, in several cases, the land is now locked away in perpetual trusts that insures that these many acres remain forever wild. Between 1925 and 1945 tourism was a full blown industry at Hebron. The great camps that owned so much of the lakeshore on the north end kept the tourism activities and population density in Hebron much lower than that on the south end. This is still true today. Whereas, cottages and bungalows dotted the southern half, the northern half of the lake was limited to campgrounds, inns and private camp complexes. We are blessed to be in this special part of Newfound Lake! Newfound Lake has been referred to as New Hampshire's best kept secret. Guest access The log home shares 110 feet of semi-private waterfront. It is directly in front of log home. The view from front deck is peek a boo through the trees but only a few feet away. The 110 feet of waterfront is shared with another home that is not on the waterfront. At this time I do not have a state permitted mooring available for renters but that could change in the future. There is no dock available to dock or secure a large boat on log waterfront. However, there is parking space for boat trailer at log cabin and there is free boat launch ramp at Wellington State Park about 2 miles by road (6 min drive or 35 min walk). The log has two sea kayaks and Old Town canoe available but I also have four additional kayaks and another canoe plus paddleboards, and float tubes and life vests available by request. Seasonal Swim Raft anchored. Belongs to owner but neighbors allowed to use. Basketball hoop on paved driveway. Corn Hole and Bocci Ball games Gig wireless internet and 6 TV using streaming Roku platform. Many board games and puzzles for indoor entertainment for those bad weather days. Other things to note • TAX: New Hampshire Meals and Tax License # 062247. New Hampshire 9 % Meals and Rentals (M&R) tax is added to all rentals and paid to state by AirBnB. • RATES: Rates vary by midweek, weekend, off season, peak season and holiday. Amazing lake and mountain views from the deck and many rooms of the house. Cotton lake offers a main 4-season cabin (~1900 sq. ft.) with three bedrooms that can sleep 6 and a separate 2-story cottage for Summer and Fall (Casita ~700 sq. ft., please inquire if you are interested; the Casita can sleep up to 4 more people and is rented for an additional$79/night/ guest). New for 2022 season, both main cabin and casita are now equipped with air conditioning. Many cozy rooms await. The master bedroom has its own bathroom and balcony that offers an amazing place to enjoy breakfast and watch the sun rise over the Lake. The living room has a gas fireplace and is equipped with a smart TV and surround sound system allowing you to connect and enjoy your favorite streaming services (note, however, that we don't have cable TV). The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker (as well as Nespresso machine, bring newer generation "Vertuo" coffee pods if you would like to use it), countertop oven, toaster, microwave, range oven, and pretty much every equipment you will need to comfortably cook at the Cabin. We even have fondue pot and wafle maker for breakfast! The main 1st floor bathroom has a deep soaking bathtub for you to relax after a long hike or a ski day while the upstairs bathroom is equipped with a massage jet shower cabin. The dining room, living room and master bedroom are all facing and overlooking beautiful Squam. Cotton Lake Cabin borders the upper trail system of the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center and Squam Range trail system with a variety of hiking trails accessible directly from your personal trailhead behind the cabin or a few minutes drive away. Bring your boat and use the Holderness Squam Lake Public Boat Launch, which is a 4 min drive away from the cabin. Don't have a boat? You can rent motorized or non-motorized bots (kayak, canoe, etc) at nearby rental shops. Want to go for a swim? The Ashland Beach on Little Squam is located less than 3 miles from the cabin. We are diagonally across from the Baptist Church and directly across from the town common We Will send you a personal lock code that you can use for the front door via an Airbnb message Please use the 'QuincyGateway Guest' SSID for Wi-Fi access throughout the home. The password is 'password'. Park in either the dirt parking lot or the driveway. Enter the building using your private lock code off the kitchen door which is nearest to the driveway. We prefer that you only use the front door off the large front porch for emergencies. To access the back porch, with the glass french doors, pull up on the handle and unlock the door (making latch vertical). Do the same, pulling up on the handle to lock the door (latch is horizontal). Please ensure all doors are locked when you are not in the house and at your departure. There are extra pillows in the closet of every room. In addition, extra blankets are in the box bay in the second floor central hallway facing the front of the house. There should be ample towels in the upstairs bathroom, shampoo, conditioner and soap in both bathrooms. We usually keep some toothpaste available as well. If needed, more towels can be found through the upstairs bathroom door to the laundry room. Both bathrooms come equipped with hair dryers and makeup mirrors. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, plates, glassware and silverware if you decide to cook. In addition to a stove, we have: an air fryer, slow cooker, foreman grill, microwave, blender, coffee pot (push the button to allow coffee to flow) and barbecue grill on the back deck for your convenience. Please do not pour any fat down the kitchen drain. There is an empty yogurt container in the freezer that you can use for fat drippings. There is a trash can in the kitchen and the two green containers under the kitchen table are for single stream recycling. You do not need to remove the trash from any receptacle. Also there is no need to make the beds or strip them. It would be best to keep them unkept so I know which ones to launder. Some first aid items are in the cabinet above the first floor bathroom toilet and in the bottom drawer of the second floor bathroom sink. In case of an emergency, Speare hospital is located in Plymouth, just 6 miles away There are no pets allowed. This is because some guests have pet allergies. There is also no smoking allowed in the house but feel free to smoke either on the front porch or on the deck the back. The town ordinance requests quiet time outside starting at 10:00 p.m. The TVs in the den and living room are Roku ready. Local free TV access is available through the Roku app. You can also use your own accounts for various services like YouTube, Amazon TV, Hulu, etc. There are plenty of ways of enjoying The Great outdoors, from sitting on the back porch or around the fire pit to rock climbing just a mile down the street, skiing at one of the nearby ski mountains, snowshoeing, or hiking. Feel free to use the outside firepit. It is already ready to light and additional wood is under a tarp by the bulkhead. Matches can be found in the smallest kitchen cabinet drawer. There are also great local breweries including Sole Tracks on Main Street in Rumney, Last Chair Brewery on Route 25 in Plymouth, Beiderman's Deli (downstairs) on Main Street in Plymouth, and White Mountain Brewery in Ashland. Our favorite restaurants are: Yama Greek Restaurant, Six Burner Bistro, and Grotto, all on Main Street in Plymouth; La Familia Mexican Restaurant on Route 25 in Plymouth and Covered Bridge Farm Table in Campton. We are also fortunate to have the Rumney Village store in walking distance from the back deck, just 4 houses up Main Street. The owners Sheila and George make bakery items, serve eggs and coffee and make excellent deli and meatball sandwiches. On the weekends they also sometimes serve dinners. Route 25 in Plymouth. Also, Tenney Mountain Pizza, located in Route 25 in Plymouth, makes a great greek pizza. Both Market Basket and Hannaford's grocery stores are located on Rt 25 in Plymouth. Sculptured Rocks gorge in Groton is another 10-minute drive. DAY TRIPS — Waterville Valley and Flume Gorge are each about 40 minutes; Mt. Cardigan about 45. For a rainy day with kids, Polar Caves in Rumney is about 20 minutes and Funspot in Laconia — the world's largest arcade — is about 30. GROCERIES — 10 minutes to Walmart and Hannaford. You will find two living rooms, a game room, wood burning stove and sprawling decks in this expansive home that can accommodate all your needs. Two indoor and outdoor pools/hot tubs are within walking distance of this mountain retreat with hiking right out your back door. Skiing at Waterville valley (15 mins away) with Loon and Cannon nearby. The space The home boasts four private bedrooms and one bedroom that is a cross through to another bedroom for a total of five bedrooms. There are two living rooms on the first floor along with a kitchen, dining room, bathroom, bedroom and foyer. On the second floor you will find the master bedroom, a bathroom, a small bunk room, a large bunk room and the fifth bedroom that leads into the large bunk room. In the basement you will find a game room which includes games such as air hockey, foosball, The Nintendo Wii, board games and legos. There is also a large deck in the front of the house that has an outdoor fireplace and deck seating all around the deck. There is a smaller deck on the back of the house which includes a grill. You will have access to bring your group to the community center with two guest passes available. The community center has two indoor pools and one indoor hot tub, two outdoor pools and one outdoor hot tub, a fitness center, small game room, tennis courts, small playground, children’s play area inside and a pond for recreation. The two guest passes will get two adults into the community center at no charge but every adult and child over 7 will have access to the center with a fee, children 7 and under are free. Weekdays seniors and children over 7 are $5 and weekends seniors and children are $10. Weekdays adults are $10 and weekends adults are $20. The Waterville Estates also has a robust hiking system throughout the community which can be accessed from the home. In addition to the wonderful hiking available in the community there is also a small ski area called Campton Mountain which includes three trails and a lodge with food available for purchase. An adorable cabin to stay in while you ski at the newly re-born Tenney Mountain Ski Area, or spend the weekend snowmobiling through the many miles of trails which are accessible just across the street. Hiking and lake fun at nearby Newfound Lake; or just relax to the babbling brook off the covered back deck. Built by Tenney Mountain co-founder John French and used for many years as housing for ski patrol, a lot of good times have been had here. The space The cabin is very unique in that it was custom built and was positioned in the perfect orientation to take advantage of the beautiful Tenney Brook in the backyard. The cabin is currently the only house on the road with only one log cabin visible on the road beneath and the peek a boo views through the woods of the tubing hill, Tenney base lodge, and a few street lights from across the brook. The cabin is a good balance of rustic with some modern amenities, the upstairs feels a bit like a treehouse which kids love. Heat is provided by mini split units on both floors, forced hot water and an optional use of the cozy wood stove fireplace insert. ***Pets are generally welcome but please inform us if you plan to bring a pet in your initial inquiry. We do have to charge a pet fee currently $50 per pet that we pass along to the cleaning crew. PLEASE NO CATS (due to allergies)*** Guest access The 3 queen beds will accommodate 6 adults. The space Originally built in 1848, our Ashland home has years of character. Living areas are spread across three floors giving you and your guests plenty of space. Main floor includes a fully equipped eat in kitchen, living room, powder room, and a primary suite with its own bathroom and enclosed porch where you can relax with your morning coffee. Upstairs you’ll find a large bedroom with two queen beds. A secret book in the additional bedroom with full bed will open a bonus room, complete with a work station and a twin daybed that converts into a king. Another bathroom with walk in shower is available on this floor. Given the age of the house, there are some eaves so please watch your head. Venture to the bottom floor for a dry bar including a wine fridge and beverage cooler. You’ll find additional kitchen items, grilling tools, and beverage glasses here. Another bedroom with private living room area opens onto a patio with pergola. Choose to hide the bed if you would like to share the area during the day with other house guests. Gather in a second enclosed porch complete with rocking chairs and table and benches for dining. Laundry room is also available on this level. There is plenty of space to hang wet clothing. Outside, you can follow a path to what was once an operating sugar shack. Relax or choose to sleep out here if you wish in warmer months - the couch folds into a bed. In the backyard, gather around the fire pit or take the kayak out on the river for some exploration. Direct access to Squam River is available. If you prefer bottled water for drinking, feel free to bring some along. BBQ: The home features a propane grill for guests to enjoy outdoor cooking year-round (weather permitting). Please clean the grill grates after each use and return the grill to the condition you found it so it’s ready for the next guests. During heavy snow periods, the grill may not be accessible. There is a beautiful beach and complimentary use of canoes, kayaks, standup paddle boards, fire pits, a swing set and a swim raft. A perfect place for your family to enjoy any season! The space Guests enter this home into the great room. A wall of windows facing the lake, vaulted ceilings and a stone fireplace with a moose mounted above it are guest favorites! There is also a murphy bed that folds out of the wall in this room for extra guests. There is a 2nd living room with another fireplace, a Roku TV and beautiful lake views. A full kitchen, LARGE deck overlooking the lake, master bedroom and two full bathrooms (1 with laundry) round out the first floor. The 2nd floor has three private bedrooms. The grassy yard near the lake offers space for frisbee, cornhole, Bocci, volleyball, and other activities. Fall/Winter: Twin Pines is the perfect spot to view the New England foliage and enjoy a wide variety of activities including antiquing, wineries, hiking, apple-picking, craft fairs and festivals. A number of popular ski resorts are within easy reach (see map in photos). Enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and skating immediately outside your door (and on nearby trails), or try your hand at ice-fishing. There are many other winter activities available in the area, and there's no better place to get cozy with a hot beverage than sitting by the fireplace in the Twin Pines great room. IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: * Saturday or Sunday check-in with 7 night minimum required in July & August. * There is no municipal trash service at the house. Guests _must_ sort their recycling into the bins provided in the garage, per instructions you'll find at the house. Our housekeeper will remove your trash & recycling after your departure. HOWEVER, if the trash/recycling bins become full during your stay -- which is certainly expected for groups staying a week or longer -- you will need to make a trip to the Ashland dump (less than 10 minutes from the house). Instructions for making a "dump run" are provided at the house, and guests report that it's a fun opportunity to experience local life on Squam. ** Please do not book a vacation at Twin Pines if you aren't willing/able to sort the recycling and make a potential dump run during your stay. ** * People with mobility issues should be aware that the beach is accessible via a staircase with about 50 steps or a grassy hill that’s fairly steep. * One side of our dock is rented to a trusted local family from May to October. They have permission to park near our garage and may go to/from their boat while you are at Twin Pines, but they are very quiet and discreet and they won't interfere with your stay. Please contact us if you have any questions/concerns. * All-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended for winter guests. The road down to our home is quite steep and can become temporarily challenging during snow storms. A team maintains our road by plowing & sanding during and after storms, but guests should be prepared to hunker down during major storms until the snow ends and the team can complete their work. We strongly encourage guests to stock up on food and other supplies ahead of time if winter weather is expected. ** Guests should _not_ rent Twin Pines during the winter months if the prospect of being temporarily "stuck" at the house during a winter storm is a problem. ** HOUSE DESCRIPTION: Arguably the best place to hang out at Twin Pines is on the deck overlooking the lake. A loveseat and chairs are arranged around a cocktail table, and the outdoor dining table comfortably fits eight people. Best of all, the elevated location keeps the deck free of mosquitoes even during the summer months. Indoors, Twin Pines offers plenty of room to spread out. Two "great rooms" provide multiple options for lounging, eating, and enjoying each other's company. The upstairs great room is focused around a large wood-burning fireplace, with a comfortable seating area and two large tables with ample space for meals, games, and puzzles. The downstairs great room includes a beautiful (but non-functioning) fireplace, two futon couches, bean bag chairs for extra seating, and a television. Also, one of the quirks at Twin Pines is an extra twin bed affectionately known as the "kitchen bed". Located in the secondary kitchen downstairs (which is generally used as storage space), the comfy kitchen bed is useful for folding laundry or for extra guests. The updated kitchen on the main floor at Twin Pines includes a refrigerator & freezer, gas stove & oven (new in 2025), microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher (new in 2026), programmable coffee maker, Ninja blender, and standing mixer. There is an outdoor gas grill for your use and the kitchen is stocked with all of the pots, pans, utensils, and spices you need to create gourmet meals -- or feel free to check out the local restaurants! A full-size washer and dryer (both new in 2025) can be found downstairs just beyond the extra kitchen. Through the laundry area is a mud room where you'll find beach towels, personal flotation devices (i.e., life jackets), wetsuits, and a work bench. After a fun day in the lake, we encourage you to rinse off using the hose outside the mud room and ditch your wet bathing suit on the clothesline before heading inside to a warm shower. In winter, the mud room offers the perfect place to peel out of your boots and snow gear. On rainy days -- or when you're finished playing in the lake -- you can enjoy a game of ping pong in the upstairs (unfinished) level of the garage. It isn't fancy, but it's fun! (Note: the ping pong room is available for use from approximately April-Oct.) We strive to make your stay at Twin Pines as comfortable and convenient as possible. In addition to the various amenities described above, we also provide portable fans, room-darkening shades, a Pack ‘n Play, a toddler air mattress, a twin air mattress, and children's books & toys. Other than asking that you treat our home with kindness and consideration, we have the following rules: * Absolutely no smoking * No pets (no exceptions -- sorry!) * Maximum 10 guests * Trash & recycling must be sorted (and taken to the dump if full) * All boating laws must be followed (details are provided to all guests) Please keep in mind that vacationing on a lake in NH is an outdoorsy experience. We keep the house very clean, but you can expect to see cobwebs in outdoor corners and in the boat shed. Also, please understand that Twin Pines is our home during part of the year, not just a rental property. Although we put away most of our personal belongings when the house is rented, please expect to see evidence of us throughout the house (e.g., photos, items stored on upper closet shelves, etc.). Swimming, floating, boating, sitting in the sun (or shade) on the sandy beach or dock - or napping with the cooling breeze off the lake. You must be 30 years of age to book. The space 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, open kitchen/dining/family room, large deck for outdoor dining in warm months, private beach and lakeside dock. Pellet stove is OUT OF ORDER 2-car garage, gas grill, and 1 boat mooring. Guest access You will have the entire property to yourselves, including the use of the 2-car garage plus, for summer guests, 1 boat mooring. SUMMER GUESTS: (July 1st-September 1st) are not required to sort trash/recycling. Please bag all refuse and put in bins in garage. Trash is picked up on Saturday mid-day. Bring the whole family to our beautiful home with lots of room for fun. We have shared private beach access, on Newfound Lake, just down the end of the road, and across the street, that you will be able to enjoy. We are located on 1.5 acres and have plenty of room for outdoor activities. Pet friendly. Fire pit and gas grill available for your use. Restaurants, breweries, boat rentals, Wellington State Park and hiking trails within 5 minutes. The space Our home is a converted Post and Beam Barn with a unique set up. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 additional "bunk" rooms as well as the addition of a tri level loft offering more sleeping areas for larger groups. Home sleeps 10-12 easily. Have a good time in our western themed saloon room, equip with beer barrel table and tin ceiling. Enjoy indoor/outdoor dining on our large porch or in our newly renovated kitchen. Large living room makes for a wonderful gathering space to watch tv, read, play games, etc.. You'll love the flexibility of being able to go out or stay in to cook. The kitchen has pots, pans, plates, glassware, utensils. If you're unsure about what we might have, please feel free to reach out. The range and oven offer the ability to whip up a meal for ten or a beautiful brunch to be enjoyed on the deck. Should I bring linens or towels? •	Nobody wants to travel with their sheets and pillowcases. Our linens will rival any hotel and our cleaning crew will take care of everything when you leave. We provide linens for all beds and wash every piece of bedding prior to your arrival. We'll also make sure there are plenty of towels for everyone. What's the television/movie situation? •	You won't miss anything on our 65 inch H.D. T.V. on the lower level and the 50 Inch H.D. T.V. on the main level. What kind of experience can my pet expect? •	We love dogs and understand how hard it can be to travel when you have to leave your furry friends at home. Bring them along to enjoy the fun! Other items to note: •	Located in one of the most desirable locations in New Hampshire. With easy access to Ragged Mountain the public beach, Wellington State Park, and Bristol town center, you'll find whatever you’re seeking - adventure or relaxation! •	The driveway is monitored by video for guest protection. •	Guests will have access to the entire house and the lot. There is a fire pit available for use. •	Guests will not have access to the garage. But there is a covered carport for a boat or toy hauler. •	Quiet hours in this location start at 10 p.m. and are strictly enforced. Please note that any violation of this rule will be reported to the authorities by local residents. Violations will result in loss of security deposit. •	There isn’t direct access to the lake at this location. The closest access is the public beach which is a couple min walk. •	The third floor does require guests to climb steep stairs.
