The property is equipped with a sensitive fire-alarm with a water system that shoots and sprays water in every interior room of the house if and when smoke is detected. For this reason please only operate fireplaces with the flute open and the glass doors shut (no burning of real wood in the fireplaces) and make sure no one is smoking inside of the house as the guest will be responsible for all damages that are incurred if that smoke-detecting fire alarm is activated. The fireplaces are operated by gas with ceramic wood, burning real wood inside of the house is not allowed and will incur additional cleaning fees to the guest. “RURAL REDLANDS” has a quiet neighborhood with a few creatures (coyotes, rabbits and squirrels). Although other hosts welcome pets, we request “no pets” (returning guests with allergies). Older 60’s home; not fancy but comfortable. Two bedrooms, kitchenette and living room. Private entrance; we share a living room wall and A/C. We are near U of Redlands, Downtown Redlands, restaurants, Oak Glen apple farms. . We’re 60-70 miles from Palm Springs, Casinos, BigBear Mtns, Disneyland, & beaches The space Please no pets and no smoking because both cause allergic reactions in us, as well as future guests. We are not a party house. This is a small, but quaint converted apartment that is attached to the end of our home with shared ventilation and a separate entrance. It has all you will need for a nice stay. If there is anything additional you need to know, please ask. (BTW…The beds are pretty comfortable) Guest access You will have access to a two-bedroom apartment. It is a part of the whole-house heating and air conditioning. (smoking or pets are not allowed). You will have a separate entrance for your privacy and will be given a pass code when you arrive . Other things to note There are house rules posted on the refrigerator including no pets, smoking, unexpected guests or parties). Please try to be quiet by 10:30. The space Greenbriar Cottage is a completely private guest suite (a private wing of our home), not the entire house. There are no shared spaces, and the experience is contactless. You’ll have your own bedroom + bathroom + hallway and private entry—about 550 sq ft total. The bedroom is ~130 sq ft and is thoughtfully designed for a comfortable stay, but it is cozy in size. Inside you’ll find a queen bed with luxury linens, a small work/dining table, fast Wi-Fi, a Smart TV (please plan to use your own streaming logins—none are provided; the TV is reset after each stay), games, and plenty of outlets. Simple kitchenette setup: mini-fridge + microwave (in the closet area). Keurig is in the bathroom.
