Welcome to our Airbnb! This home was our first house and we decided to share it through Airbnb as an affordable rental for bigger groups! This is a charming, older, farmhouse-themed home. The house backs up to woods and deer can often be seen grazing. The driveway is reserved for basement guests (there is a separate basement apartment that is an Airbnb as well… there are no shared spaces for guests) but there is plenty of roadside parking available on this quiet neighborhood street. The space This rental is a full, private home with 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, and 2 twin beds), 1.5 baths, a kitchen, a living room, a dining area, and a designated workspace (a desk in the living room). The full bathroom was completely renovated in 2023 and the half bath has undergone updates as well! The kitchen is more dated and we have adjusted prices accordingly. There is a separate basement apartment with no shared spaces. The basement guests cannot access your rental in any way, and vice versa. The driveway is reserved for basement guests so please be sure to park on the curb. Interested in the downstairs unit? Each bedroom is well appointed with extra blankets and throws. There is a TV in the living room upstairs and a TV in the family room downstairs. The kitchen has an island with seating for two and the kitchen table seats eight. Off of the kitchen is a lovely screened porch that overlooks the backyard and pool. Welcome to Perchwood Manor, your cozy retreat just minutes from LU, Randolph College, U of Lynchburg and all the shopping and dining Lynchburg has to offer! Our spacious home offers a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Enjoy open living spaces or step outside to enjoy the charming back porch with cozy fire pit. Whether here for a family visit, campus tour, or just to explore the local scene, you'll feel right at home! The space This home has two units in it. Perchwood Manor encompasses the entire upstairs and one room in the basement that has access out to the fenced back yard. The other one bedroom apartment is accessed through a separate door in the back yard. There are no shared living spaces. The only space in this unit that may occasionally be shared is the fenced backyard. The lower one bedroom apartment is typically rented by traveling professionals that are usually there to sleep and work! I have always found mid-term renting traveling professionals to be very quiet and courteous. Perchwood Manor guest are given the use of the back patio with a firepit and adirondacks, while the guest of the basement apartment is given the used of the garaged parking space and the driveway. When you stay at Perchwood Manor you will need to park on the street unless the terrace level unit is vacant. Guest access Perchwood Manor guest are given access to the entire upstairs as well as "the library". The library is a single room in the lower level that has a dedicated working area, a door to the exterior back patio and fenced yard, and an Ikea couch that folds out to a Queen.
