The apartment is located on the first floor – Marked “A” on the door - Unit A / Down (entrance is in the front of the house, by way of the front porch (5 ish steps). The area holds many historical homes - our home is over 120 years old. It retains much of it's charm. You will notice the distinct framework and style when you arrive. However, along with such charm, some of the flooring is slightly uneven. Please remember that this is a two-family home. You will have tenants above you. Please be a good neighbor and be mindful of your noise level and respect quite hours, as we have advised them of the same. You may, at times, hear the tenants above you. We have installed cork underlayment to the upstairs flooring and extra insulation around the heat ducts to assist with noise control. Cameras are installed on the outside of the house only. Cameras are on each of the doors – one on the front door, one on the side door and one that covers both the back door and basement door. Cameras are in place for security. Note that we can see if more than the disclosed amount of people arrive for your stay. Unfortunately, any guests that have more than the house capacity (6 people), will result in a terminated contract and must vacate immediately. However, along with such charm, some of the flooring is uneven. The stairs, combined with some uneven flooring may make it a challenge for some people with impaired walking abilities. Please remember that this is a two-family home. You will have tenants below you. Please be a good neighbor and be mindful of your noise level and respect quite hours, as we have advised them of the same. You may, at times, hear the tenants below you. We have installed cork underlayment to the flooring and extra insulation around the heat ducts to assist with noise control. Cameras are installed on the outside of the house only. This 3 bedroom duplex is located less than a mile from the Clev Clinic, Case Western, the botanical gardens, and little Italy. We have free street parking, a smart TV, and wifi. The kitchen is fully stocked to allow you to cook while away from home. You can walk out the front door and access Clev cultural gardens which run for nearly 2 miles along MLK Drive. This is a very diverse neighborhood. If you are uncomfortable around people who look different from you, our place is not for you. The space This is the 1st & 2nd floor of a duplex. There is a front room with smart tv and a collection of board games, a dining room and a recently renovated kitchen. There is a 1/2 bath on the first floor. The 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms, a full bath and a small powder/dressing room. Each bedroom has its own AC wall unit. The basement has 2 washers and 2 dryers. Please note, this is not a finished basement. The house was built around 1914, while there is nothing dangerous in the basement, if you've seen too many horror flicks and are frightened of old basements, don't go down there and complain in your review that the basement was scary. Guest access There is a keypad entry system on the front door that has a large "Welcome to the cultural gardens Hideaway" sign on the front door. The address is marked on the front pillar of the house and beside the front door. The driveway is yours to use and park your car. There is also street parking available as well.
