In bedroom 2 there is a small desk and printer available. The basement houses a recreation room with a smart TV, DVD player, theater seating and a ping pong table as well as a private gym equipped with an elliptical, stationary bike, rower, weights, etc. For winter guests, there is a ski rack and a boot warmer in the garage. The property is nearly 3 acres with a path and stairs leading down to the lake where you'll find Adirondack chairs, a scenic rocky ledge and a pebble beach. Walk to the Gitch Gami Trail or the North Shore Winery. This location offers the most convenient access for exploration and relaxation in any season. While you're at the home enjoy the outdoor sauna, foosball table, putting green, outdoor living space, grill, indoor fireplace, radiant floor heat, kids loft and more! The space The main floor consists of a half bath connected to the mudroom as you walk in the main door. As you walk through the mudroom you quickly enter the open concept kitchen, dining and main floor living room area where you will find a beautiful fully stocked kitchen, a fully stocked coffee bar, a stone fireplace and in the winter heated floors that will keep you feeling cozy during ski season. The show-stoppers of the main floor are the windows that surround you and make you that feel like you are in luxury while at the same time always providing that feeling of being amongst the trees Northern Minnesota wilderness. From the living room either walk through the French doors to the outdoor living space and putting green or out the sliding door to the sauna. Off the main living space, is the master bedroom, walk in closet and master bathroom with a full shower and separate soaking bath. Walk up the stairs to the second floor loft which hosts the foosball table and sleeper sofa. A bedroom with a queen bed and closet and a third bedroom with two queen beds finish out the sleeping areas upstairs. A full bathroom with a beautiful shower and double sinks serves both upstairs bedrooms. You can go even higher from here as there is a very sturdy ships ladder that takes you to a kids hang out area with a small tv and comfy seating. There are two TV's in the house, one in the main living area and the other in the kids loft. Both are Smart TVs ready for guests to log in to any of their streaming services. The home is also equipped with reliable and fast internet. Each bedroom is equipped with room darkening shades and noisemakers for those who enjoy listening to waves crashing against the shore, the sounds of crickets at night, or just calming white noise helping guests to sleep. The kitchen and coffee bar are fully stocked, and the house comes with everything needed for using the gas grill outside. Our kids love the "fun stuff" most notably the outdoor putting green and sauna, along with the indoor foosball table, kids' loft, vinyl record player, and games. Our favorite part is the location. For our interests (ski, golf, hiking, biking, food/drink) we feel our home is located in the best spot in Cook County. It is located on hole #4 of Superior National Golf Course and walking distance to the clubhouse and first tee box. A very short walk to both the North Shore Winery and the Gitchi-Gami State Trail and just down the hill from Lutsen Mountains which includes the Alpine Slide, The Gondola, Mogel's Bar and Restaurant and the newly rebuilt Charlie' Alpine Bistro. If you love snowmobiles, our home is a very short walk to two different trail access points. We are almost directly in-between two beautiful state parks being the Temperance River State Park and Cascade River State Park both of which are about a 10 to 12 minute drive. Other Notes... ***Please note that the very top kids area is not approved for sleeping. ***Guests should also know there are about 4-5 steps from the driveway up to the main door. Guest access The guests can use all areas of the home with the exception of the maintenance and storage closets which are locked. Other things to note Our neighbor is currently in the process of building their home. We expect the most disruptive construction work to be over by this winter when a lot of activity will move to the interior portion of the home. Our North Shore Retreat, located on Lutsen Resort sits at the base of Moose Mountain, in MN's largest ski resort. Our house is not just a winter wonderland of skiing & snowboarding though. Summer enters in trail rides, hiking, and shopping in Grand Marias. Fall brings amazing fall colors up the mountain & all along the North Shore. The space We are one of the few on the mountain that offers a 5th Bedroom, which enables our house to sleep 14 people, ideal for large groups! We are excited to share that recently (April 25th, 2021), we installed new matching appliances (stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven). Our North Shore Retreat is located on the Poplar Ridge of Lutsen Resort, just 4 hours from the Twin Cities. Our home sits at the base of Moose Mountain, in Minnesota's largest ski in - ski out luxury resort. Our home is not just a winter wonderland of skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and any other winter activity you can imagine. Fall brings a blaze of color up the mountain, and all along the north shore. Come in the spring and summer to enjoy miles of biking, and hiking trails, or the 27 hole Superior National Golf Course, just next door, offers spectacular views of Lake Superior. You may want to fish inland lakes, or charter a boat for fishing Lake Superior. And of course, hunt for agates along the shores of 'The Big Lake'. Not to be forgotten is the famous Alpine Slide, and Superior Hiking Trail, just a walk up the road. At any season, a ride to the top of Moose Mountain via the Gondola to have lunch, and view Lake Superior and the surrounding forest is a must see! The upstairs master has a queen bed and it's own bathroom, and the other room has 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds and a full bathroom out in the hallway. The main level boasts a two story stone wood burning fire place, full kitchen, balcony w/patio furniture and gas grill and great view of Moose Mountain and Gondola. The master suite on the main level sleeps two, has a whirlpool tub, it's own bathroom, a queen size bed, small deck, kitchenette, small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker with filters, and dinnerware. The Two Bedroom lower level sleeps up to six. It has two bedrooms each with queen beds, a double pull out couch, a full bathroom, kitchenette, small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker with filters, and dinnerware. There are also blow dryers are in all bathrooms, soap, shampoo, towels, and other amenities. All bedrooms have alarm clocks, and there are multiple televisions and DVD players as well.
