Our home is just what your family needs for your next beach vacation. You'll watch the boats sail past in the bay and enjoy a short walk (<3 min w/ kids!) to a fantastic beach. With 3600 sqft, 5 full ba, 5 br, and 11 beds, your family will have plenty of room to spread out and relax. It's hard to beat the location. Our home sits across the street from the bay and just one short block from the beach. We timed our walks with two young kids: 2 minutes and 45 seconds from our driveway to the sand! You'll walk about the same distance to launch your kayak or paddle board at the public access point on the bay. Great restaurants like Britts Donuts and all the fun of the Carolina Beach Boardwalk are only 0.7 miles away. 2. The views are fantastic. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or evening sunset as you watch the boats sail past from one of our massive decks that overlook the water. Head out to the cozy deck facing the ocean and listen to the waves, or escape to the crow's nest above the top floor and take in a full view of the ocean and Carolina Beach. 3. You'll have no trouble parking. When you drive up, you'll find 104 feet of private parking in the carport and driveway—enough for 5-6 cars depending on what you drive. Main floor: BR1 has a king bed, sleeper couch, enclosed full bathroom, and it opens onto the deck BR2 has a queen bed and enclosed full bathroom Top level: BR3 faces the bay and opens up onto a 32x8 deck. This room is set up like a second living room and has more than 400sq ft of living space. Two couches in front of the fireplace open into beds. Across the room, you'll find a double bed and a single bed near the entrance to the enclosed full bathroom. There is also a rollaway twin in the closet. The room easily sleeps 8—a perfect spot for kids. BR4 has a king bed and an enclosed full bathroom with hallway access BR5 has a queen bed and a sleeper couch 6. ...and everyone will have a seat at the table. On the main level you'll find an open floor plan kitchen and living room that opens onto another 32x8 deck. The indoor dining table seats 10, and there is extra seating for 6 at the bar, 6 at the game table in the living room, and 16 on the deck. No one will have trouble finding a seat! The kitchen has everything you need to make simple meals and enough serving dishes, glassware, and utensils for 18. 7. Our home is family friendly. If you have kids, you'll find that our home offers a few family-friendly perks that most other places do not. In addition to a closet full of toys and games that your kids can enjoy—and an Xbox hooked up to the TV in the upstairs bedroom/living room—we have several things that mom and dad will appreciate: * Pack-and-play (sheet not included) * Baby monitor * White noise machine * Retractable gates attached to the top and bottom of the stairs * Convertible booster seat (6 months to 4 years) 8. The space Blue Crab Bay is a luxurious second row, fully detached home located conveniently between Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. This location offers guests quick access to the Boardwalk and all of the fun that Carolina Beach offers, including shops, ice cream, arcade and Thursday night fireworks in the summer. For those who enjoy a quieter beach trip, the calm serenity of Kure Beach is is available just to the south, where you can walk the Kure Beach Pier, visit Fort Fisher for a breathtaking sunset or enjoy the aquarium. Our home comfortably hosts 14 people featuring 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a large open living space on the top floor and 4 decks - providing the perfect space for friends and family to gather or to find a quiet space for relaxation. We are a 1 minute walk to the sand with the Alabama Ave beach access (a favorite of local surfers!) directly across the street. On the top (third) floor, the home features an expansive open floor plan blending the kitchen, dining space, family room, large deck and powder room to create a perfect gathering space for friends and family. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen features high end appliances, a gas cooktop, double oven, coffee maker and all the essentials. This is coastal living at its best! The remainder of the top floor features a powder room, a bunk room with a full size bottom bed, twin size top bunk and twin size trundle bed. Across the hall is the first of four master suites in the home featuring a king size bed, private ensuite bathroom and ample closet space. On the second floor, this home boasts three more stylish master suites each featuring a king size bed, private en suite, Roku TV, and calming coastal decor, perfect to retreat to after a day at the beach. The primary master suite contains a breathtaking, luxurious ensuite with double sinks, free standing bath tub, large glass shower and its own private deck facing the ocean. This is a true master retreat! The second floor is rounded out with a full size laundry room containing washer, dryer, iron and ironing board - perfect to accomodate multiple families on vacation. The first floor of the home features a comfortable, fun lounge space with a queen size sleeper sofa, Roku TV,  and full bathroom with shower. For your entertainment, you will find Golden Tee and PacMan arcade games, as well as a foosball table and an array of boardgames to enjoy.  The lounge space leads to the fully fenced in backyard where you can enjoy backyard games such as corn hole, giant Jenga or giant Connect Four while grilling out after a day of beach fun. We've got your beach needs covered by providing beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, and beach wagon so that all you have to do is show up and enjoy a day at the beach! For our young guests, we provide a pack 'n play and sand toys. Please Note: Each reservation includes linens - bed sheets, blankets, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, make up towels, beach towels, dish towels. Additionally, laundry, bathroom, and kitchen "starter packs" are provided and each bathroom offers travel size shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion. The home contains a small elevator reaching all three floors for those with accessibility concerns. Ample parking is available on the double driveway, where 6 cars can easily and safely park. Covered parking in the car port is available for two cars. An EV charger available for use at the rate of $50/week, or $10 a day for stays less than 7 days long. This is for unit #2 guests of Flighted Desire. Unit #1 is owned and rented separately. You can easily park 3 full-sized vehicles, or 4 small cars.
