A dramatic and sunny two floor apartment in a great location at the edge of downtown one block from the visitors center with a street level entrance. It's close to the waterfront, cafes, restaurants and has 3 off street parking spaces. You’ll love the design, the light, and the colonial neighborhood. This is a 2 level place in a 3rd floor walkup, it's good for several couples, families and groups. Pricing and minimum stay vary with days of the week and seasons - be sure to put in your dates! The space About the space! The ingenious architecture of the floor-through area over the living and dining area is the most impressive feature. It creates a dramatic yet easygoing ambience where people can congregate in numerous places and still feel a part of things. In short it has a fantastic setup for a group. King bed and one queen room are on the 3rd floor. The other queen and the bed room with two twins are on the 4th floor. Baths on both floors. We just redid the kitchen! It continues the open plan. It features all marble counters, ultra modern cabinets and the island with a new Kitchen-aid dual-fuel downdraft range in the center of the kitchen with the island bar facing the chef. It's a very social kitchen. Both bathrooms are new as well with floor to ceiling tile and quality, all-glass shower enclosures. The 3rd floor has a nice cylindrical enclosure and the 4th fl has a single pane glass door with a tub. It's a clever space with a pocket door which disappears into the wall. 89 Thames is a nice combination of airy and bright with warm and cozy. Very relaxing and very social. Guest access Self check in is easy! We'll send you the door code for the street level door. Once inside the hall you'll have sets of keys to the actual apartment door. Parking uses a validation code we will send you with the keycode. It is in any of the 24/7 paid spaces along the building or elsewhere in the lot. Please let us know how many spaces to reserve for you. No parties please. Only your people sleeping in the apartment are allowed in at night. We're assuming you understand but just to be clear - It's a headache for the longterm tenants below you and there are city noise and occupancy ordinances you don't want to run afoul off. Please don't tell the people in the bar or your wedding party they can come back to your place, they can't. It's against your rental agreement. We've seen things go sideways late night in Newport so think ahead about how to divert your friends (and strangers) somewhere else as the night winds down - bar closing time in Newport is a mess. It is your responsibility as the renter to take care of who is in the rental unit. It's simple, you and your other guests will be much happier this way! The front stairs are for your group. The back stairs are generally for the year-around tenants and only to be used as an emergency exit. Of course don't hesitate to go out the back in an emergency!! Also the door to the back stairs is the door to your outdoor deck. The third floor deck is all yours! Take a moment to familiarize yourself since all the doors look the same on the inside. Other things to note Please remember that you’re staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. Remember parties are not allowed. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, managers are in town, repairs and missing items can usually be solved very quickly. Also please be considerate of the tenants living below. The counseling center next door has a morning meeting and occasional an afternoon one too. Apparently they have no waiting room so you may see people lined up outside for 5 or 10 min waiting to get in. Occasionally they smoke outside and steal our parking spaces but are usually are all gone in a 1/2 hour. Our place is up two flights of steps. The Newport Cottage.Perfect Location/Comfort/Style

Experience the charm of coastal living at East Ferry Cottage. Steps to Jamestown’s East Ferry harbor, boutiques, summer concerts and savory dining. Explore Narragansett Bay and its beautiful beaches, coastline, farmland and trails. Drive or take the seasonal water taxi (a block from your door!) to Newport for added fun. Whether you seek the vibrancy of coastal summer living or the oasis of a seaside community, East Ferry Cottage will welcome you. The space Light-filled, cozy cottage that comfortably accommodates up to 4 people. There are 3 bedrooms ~ two bedrooms have a queen bed (one with an ensuite bath) and the 3rd bedroom has two single beds. We realize beds could sleep 6 guests but the extra beds are to accommodate various sleeping arrangements among the 4 guests. We are firm on the 4 person maximum (including infants, toddlers and children) and appreciate your understanding. Kitchen is equipped to cook-in or perhaps brew yourself a cup of coffee to enjoy steps away while sitting on a bench overlooking the Newport bridge. And, of course, lots of options to eat out at one of the many restaurants just a block away in town. Guest access Guests have full access to cottage excluding basement, utility room and utility closet. Each bedroom has two closets, one of which is available for guest use. Guest parking for 2 vehicles. For marina access, owner may leave additional vehicle on the property during the day. Other things to note Check-in: We are unable to accommodate early check-in. If you want to check-in before 4pm, please extend your reservation to include the prior night. If it is just luggage you wish to drop off early, let us know so we can arrange for its storage in the shed. Central A/C: During the summer, the central air conditioning is fixed at 72°F. This setting, along with the ceiling fans (if needed), has worked well for the cottage. If guests are uncomfortable, a message must be sent to the host who will promptly accommodate. Indoor fireplace: Operational during the offseason only (December - March). Jamestown Newport Ferry: water taxi schedule ~ Spring (5/16/26 - 6/13/26), Summer (6/14/26 - 9/6/26), Summer Festivals (7/25/26-7/27/26; 7/31/26 - 8/2/26); Fall (9/7/26 - 10/12/26). Offseason scheduling: Jamestown is a year-round welcomed retreat but our availability to host during the offseason (December - March) is more limited.
