Since the public beach parking lots are small and tend to fill up quickly, the best way to get to the beach with gear is to have a member of your party drive to the access, unload your gear with the other members of your party, drive back to the house, and walk back. (Alternatively you can rent bikes from a local company and ride up to the beach.) This way you avoid having to find a parking spot. There are numerous golf cart rental companies in the area, however, the golf cart parking also fills up quickly, so again, walking or riding a bike are your best options. Nature: The home is 0.2 miles away from the Long Leaf Pine Trail trailhead and parking area in Point Washington State Park, which includes more than 27 miles of distinct trails throughout, allowing you to explore and experience the differentiated types of vegetation and topography of the area. There is also biking on the Timpoochee Bike Trail in the park.
