It is a real mountain cabin and real mountain roads bring you to it so a high-clearance AWD/4WD is required to access the cabin. 3-story, 3-bdrm, 2½-bath cabin, two-level decks with astonishing mountain views. Please check on multiple maps for updated road condition The space Nestled high in the woods of Grant Mountain among the mountain laurel on a 4-acre lot, the only sense of civilization evident in the majestic view is two cabins further down the mountain. “Hikers Hideaway” is a 3-story, 3-bedroom, 2½-bath Custom Heritage Log Home featuring heart pine floors, a cozy stone fireplace with remote-controlled gas logs and vaulted ceilings. The third story is host to a unique loft-style master bedroom suite with walk-in closet and crow's nest which overlooks the den and picturesque views through triangular apex windows. Main floor has a fully functional spacious kitchen and dining area with second-story accesses to the full-length porch where one can enjoy peaceful, lush mountain views of the Hickory Nut Gorge opposing Mountain Range and south-east to the end of the Gorge and beyond. Downstairs are two bedrooms and a full bathroom plus access to the lower full-length porch with similar views to the main level porch. Sleeping Accommodations: Lower level has one queen bed and a daybed with roll-out bed for a total of three beds. Main level has another daybed with roll-out bed to sleep two more. Master bedroom has a queen bed making a grand total of 6 beds to easily accommodate up to 8 guests. Accessibility: The moment you turn off the highway and your tires hit the dirt you can t help but feel the steep incline of the unpaved dirt road and there is no doubt you are driving up a mountain to your vacation getaway. Each switchback elevates you further from the stress of your daily routine. Private mountain roads can be steep in areas and are susceptible to weather such as rain and snow. The drive up the mountain is about 0.8 mile. Amenities: Internet, TV, Apple lightening to AV adapter, Air Conditioning, Gas-log fireplace, Full kitchen with Microwave, Stove, gas grill, Refrigerator, Cooking utensils, and Keurig coffee maker, Washer and Dryer in main level bathroom. The pilot light of the indoor fireplace may need to be reignited. Please follow the instructions we sent in the house manual. We cannot monitor the amount of propane in the tanks. We encourage guests to bring a tank or refill the tanks onsite if they are empty. Our cleaning company does not clean the grill, and guests are expected to be respectful of each other and clean it after each use. Pets: We allow up to two well-trained dogs. Please inform us of your dogs at your booking. A non-refundable one-time pet fee of $30 for EACH dog (maximum 2 dogs. Please ask if more than 2) will be charged. There is a 0.7 mile gravel road leading to the house and a short, steep, paved driveway that does not require 4 wheel drive. The driveway was improved with additional paving in November 2021 making it easier to navigate. In the event that ice or snow makes accessibility difficult, we are happy to reschedule your stay. Minimum Age, Booking Requirements, Occupancy & House Rules The primary guest must be 25 years of age or older and have at least one verified Airbnb review. The booking guest must be present for the duration of the stay. We reserve the right to decline reservations that do not meet these requirements. The maximum occupancy for the property is 8 guests total at any time, including overnight guests and any visitors. To make your stay more enjoyable we provide firewood on site and for fire pit and in door fireplaces. For all dog owners, the property is equipment with a dog door that can allow for a 120lb dog or smaller to come and go. The large hot tub and views are spectacular. The setting and views cannot be fully explained without experiencing for yourself. The space As you travel closer and closer to the Estate you will realize the true wonder of the area. It is located on the edge of a cluster of mountains Wethero Mountain, Bank Mountain, Bald Top Mountain and Bearwallow Mountain. Once you’re on the driveway which is .5 mile of concrete all the way up. You will arrive at the beautiful property which dead ends on the edge of the forest. There is a lot to do outside while enjoying the Mountain View’s. A large fire pit, Pizza oven, grill area, large water falls and Koi pond. If you just want to sit outside and enjoy, please take advantage of the outdoor sitting areas. There are three deck areas as well as a covered wrap around porch with views all around. It is truly a space to capture the moment and remember for years to come. Upon entering the newly updated home, with new windows, furniture, beds in many rooms, and all new kitchen high end appliances, you will realize you are home. The porches for morning coffee, evening cigars or anything in between all surrounded by views of a lifetime. We also have a full size pool table and sticks. The game room is a work in progress. An expansive deck was designed and furnished intentionally to allow for guests to enjoy the LONG RANGE VIEWS from various angles. This Frank Lloyd Wright inspired villa takes the "city vibe" into the woods, with large windows bringing in light and showcasing the beautiful natural setting. Interior features are open, uncluttered, and incredibly comfortable, with quality at the forefront of our minds in this space. The space Walking into the property, guests will be greeted with mountain views from the double set of sliding doors that transition the living room and kitchen into the outdoor space. Guests will find it easy to relax on the oversized leather couch while streaming their favorite app on the 60in Smart tv, or simply kicking back and reading our printed guidebook for recomendations of things to do in the area. The fully stocked kitchen is a great place to cook up your favorite meal, or make a fantastic cup of coffee. The open concept allows the dining area to sit between the kitchen and the living room. On opposite sides of the house are the bedrooms. Both are the same size and each have a king size bed, closet with closet system, ceiling fan, 42 inch Smart tv and full sized en suite bathroom with walk in shower and double sink vanities. One bedroom has a separate closet with a stackable washer and dryer. Both bedrooms have direct access to the deck. The deck offers a propane grill, a dining table for four, an L shaped couch for lounging, 2 comfortable rocker chairs, and two loungers for sunning or star gazing. Extra wide steps will take guests out to both the hot tub and the fire pit. Large Adirondak chairs surround the fire pit, and for an additional element of cozy, bistro lights are strung from the oak and poplar trees above, and landscape uplighting offers a beautiful perspective of the woods at night. This home is located on top of a small mountain, which is great for views, but requires a drive up a short, somewhat steep road. (photo included) The road is concrete and has been raked for extra traction. It does not require 4 wheel drive. Guest access Guests will be sent a digital guidebook shortly before their stay with information about check in and area attractions. Guest entry code will be provided 24 hours before check in. There is a front porch with two rocking chairs and a back porch with a grill and laundry room attached. The views and the peaceful setting are a great chance to get away from it all and relax. We also provide all kitchen utensils, pots, pans and a Keurig with K cups. There is also a fire pit area behind the cabin. Firewood is also provided. The Lazy Rocker is a small 1 BR that offers options for a small family or friends retreat. Lazy Rocker Cabin in Apple Country

Adorable log cabin cottage in the heart of Apple Country! Located 20 minutes from downtown Hendersonville and 25-30 minutes from Asheville. This cozy cabin sits about half-way up Banks Mountain with beautiful views and peaceful nature surroundings. The space Adanvdo (Cherokee for heart or spirit) was built out of an inspiration to share the beautiful mountain on which my husband, Lee, and I live. Built with the 'tiny home' concept in mind, it provides everything one could want in a cabin while only taking up a 300 square footprint. Unfortunately, the loft is unavailable at this time. There is a custom made Murphy bed with a queen Casper mattress for great sleeping. A small closet with a hanging bar sits beside the Murphy bed. All bed and bathroom linens are provided. The cabin is furnished and decorated for comfort, warmth and charm. There is a fully furnished kitchen with a five cu foot refrigerator (bigger than your typical hotel refrigerator), a two-burner ceramic stove and a toaster/convection oven. A new gas grill sits on the back deck to give you more cooking options. There is a two seat bar in the kitchen area for eating and food preparation. I keep the kitchen stocked with some condiments, teas and coffee. All you need is a bag of groceries. A flat screen TV is mounted in the kitchen area on a swivel arm for easy viewing from the living area or the kitchen bar. If you’re looking for movies, check out the apps PLEX and MAX, plus Spectrum for local channels. Step outside of the French doors onto the back deck with access to a hot tub, chairs to soak in the view, and a gas grill for a barbecue. Yes, our home is right next door, but we have built a special wall/gate that gives you the utmost privacy. We have a British lab puppy, Calvin, who is very friendly. Other things to note As the cabin is a tiny house, it really can only accommodate two adults comfortably.

Built in 1928 and completely renovated in 2015, we were able to restore the original luster of the hand hewed logs and stone fireplace then we added few modern conveniences. Home is located in the Bearwallow Mountain area midway between Asheville and Chimney Rock Village. Other local amenities include rock climbing, trout fishing, mountain biking, Chimney Rock State Park, Lake Lure and many local breweries. Be adventurist as you like or just come to relax. The space This is a two level residential home. As the homeowner, I occupy the space in the upper level. The lower level is set up as an AirBnB apartment. There is only one private entrance from the outside to access the apartment. No stairs are on the inside that connect the lower level to the upper level. The AirBnB apartment is completely private and isolated from the upper level. The entire space has been completely remodeled and updated with all new cabinetry, appliances, flooring and fresh paint for a rustic cabin feel. Guest access The lower level has a private porch area. Other things to note Due to homeowners allergy, pets are not allowed.

To fully enjoy this back porch, we suggest having a cup of coffee in hand. Once the caffeine has kicked in, hiking trails are a short walk away, and the exploring can begin. This area is still recovering from Hurricane Helene. Unfortunately, you won't be able to access Lake Lure right now. The space Our housekeepers use extreme caution and have been provided with a list of supplies that include disposable cleaning materials to prevent spread. Only CDC approved antibacterial and sanitation products are used and we wear masks and gloves at all times while navigating the property. All guidelines are being followed to ensure the safety of our staff and our guests Thank you for your understanding and help in keeping Laughing Waters a healthy environment. We encourage you to not only take advantage of the miles of hiking trails but also to take a dip in the swimming hole upstream from the cottage. It is surrounded by beautiful waterfalls. Our retreat center, Laughing Waters is located next door. This can be rented separately by other guests. Rest assured the two properties are private from each other and there is private parking for both. Other things to note Verizon cell service works best. For folks with other service, go to the top of the road for best signal. Our retreat center is next door to the cottage. There is private parking for the cottage for one car. The space The Forest Den is our oversized tiny house. It is important to note that this cabin is recommended for ONE, though countless couples have enjoyed it. FOR A COUPLE, SLEEPING IS A DAY BED WITH ROLL OUT POP UP TRUNDLE which may not be suitable for all guests. We take pride in their charm, cleanliness, and the beauty of the setting! Western North Carolina is breathtaking in every season! Our cabins are small, simple and invite contemplation of the surrounding natural beauty, yet it is a easy drive to the restaurants of Hendersonville's Main Street, Flat Rock Playhouse, Chimney Rock Park, Asheville, the Biltmore House. Guest access Guests visiting our farm stay in their own cabin, and are welcome to stroll about the property. Other things to note Occupancy taxes apply, 11.75% Weekends and peak season we require a 2 night minimum stay. Single night stays can also be booked if a single night falls between multi-night bookings. Only one average size car is permitted to be parked at the cabin. An additional vehicle is permitted but must be parked in a nearby location on the property specified by the host. We can not accommodate motorcycles. The Pavilion has electricity, a sound system, lighting and water access. As well, enjoy the use, set up and break down of high quality tables and X back style chairs for your event.   Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.  Pets: Many of our guests have allergies so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction.
