There is a washer and dryer provided on the main floor in the hallway. Off of the kitchen is a large outdoor patio that overlooks the lake and dock where there is additional dining seating for 8 in addition to a relaxing sitting area with an electric fireplace and a large Smart TV. The upstairs area features two bedrooms and a shared Jack and Jill full bathroom. One bedroom has a Queen bed and full lake view. The second bedroom has a Queen bed and a Twin/Full bunk bed. You will not have to worry about fighting waves or wakes in this cove so it is safe for swimming and your boat is safe in one of the lifts, tied to the side or even power pole’d down. Due to the slope, direct boat launch access is not available from the property, but we recommend using one of the convenient public boat launch sites in the area. The closest boat launch (in good repair) is SML State Park Boat Launch Northeast of marker R19 Huddleston, VA 24104 During droughts, the below launches are recommended : Oak Grove Boat Launch Pelican Point Yacht Club Magnum Point Marina Scruggs #8 There are also many boat rental companies and options available with various pricing, quality, age, and vessel types. Google “Boat rentals Smith Mountain Lake” for a more comprehensive list and pricing. Do not bring trailers (including jet-ski/boat) down the driveway or drive/park on the grass. The driveway is long, narrow. Space at the bottom of the driveway is limited (accommodates 5 cars) with additional parking available partway up the driveway. Guests have turned around on the grass in the past resulting in the need for very expensive septic distribution field repairs. There are two ways to access the dock, and both routes require using steps: 	•	The first route goes downstairs inside the house—there are 16 indoor stairs—which leads to a paver stone path with an additional 31 paver stone steps. 	•	The second route follows 14 uneven landscape stones outdoors, which connect to the same paved path before descending the 31 paver stone steps.

On the top floor you will find bedrooms with the main master being one, a oversized walk in shower with stand-alone tub is also located in the master. There is one more king bedroom, a queen room and a room with bunks and twins that is great for putting all the kids in. there is one more bathroom on this floor as well. On the lower floor you will find an additional master with a king and one more bedroom with a queen. There is also a pool table located on the lower level as well as a movie room that contains video games for kids. All three floors have a walk out porches with barstools and tops to enoy a drink or cup of coffee, they are also accessible by each primary bedroom. The dock The dock is a double deck dock with a swinging gate up top to have access to jump off of. The depth on the end of the dock is over 20’ deep! There is 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, floats, plenty of paddles and plenty of lifejackets for all sizes. There is also a bar with a roll up widow that is accessible from the inside with a fridge to keep your beverages cold. If enough notice is given I will make sure both jet ski lefts and the main boat lift are empty and accessible to be used. The Highlights are the breath taking sun set views, Hot tub, Corn Hole boards, Kayaks, Paddle boards, Outdoor Propane fire pit, Gas grill, wifi, Movie room, board games, pool table, and video games! Disclaimer: There is a set of stairs getting from where you park your vehicle to the front door. So please be careful and keep in mind if you have people in your party that need assistance. Smith mountain lake is one of the prettiest places I have visited but it is made on a mountain. Once you're in the house I feel confident that you will forget about the stairs getting down to the house. It is only a short walk from the house to the dock as seen in the pictures. The space Sunsational is a gorgeous waterfront home that offers 5 bedrooms! When you open the front door you are greeted by a wall of windows and water filled scenery. A large open floor plan that is made for famiy fun awaits you! The kitchen is very well equipped with everything needed for meal preparations and includes stainless steel appliances and both drip and Keurig coffee makers. The dining area has a large table with ample seating that will accommodate 6. A kitchen island with 5 additional bar stools makes it an ideal spot for a snack or simply spending time visiting in the kitchen. Multiple outdoor decks, complete with lots of comfortable seating to enjoy the spectacular views as well as grilling your evening meal. In keeping the family unified, the living area is adjacent to these areas so that the chef will not miss the game on TV while cooking up wings for the game. The pathway from the house to the dock is an easy walk and wheelchair accessible. We are 5-10 minutes from Bridgewater Marina by boat, 15 minutes by car. We are 10-20 minutes from grocery stores, fast food, restaurants, spas, and any other amenities you could want on your vacation. We are about a 30-45 minute drive leisurely boat ride from Blackwater/the dam. Smith Mountain Lake is an amazing place to spend a long weekend, a week or more to relax, unwind, or get in some water time. Come spend it at Sunset Cove. 🌅

The space This home has amazing space for everyone to gather, watch tv, dine on the deck with an amazing view, or hang out in the basement playing games. There are two full kitchens in this home that are fully stocked with everything you will need to cook family meals. Home has fast WiFi and smart TV's in all the bedrooms and common areas! Guest access You will have access to the entire property except where closets or doors are locked. Guests do not have access to the garage or the boat lift. A boat is stored at the home in the lift and we ask that guests do not climb on the boat. The home does have a 10x28' floating dock that guests can dock their boat during their stay. Other things to note There is currently no trash service at the home which is typical on the lake. If you have any issues with removal of trash please let us know. Main level living at its finest with all the bells & whistles, including gas range, wood-burning fireplace, an array of helpful kitchen appliances including toaster oven, instant pot, blender, Keurig, coffee pot, & counter-top ice maker! The property features two kitchens and two fully-equipped laundry rooms, one on each level! Free Neighborhood Amenities: Guests may also enjoy the basketball hoop & blacktop, large adjacent field located on Gap Bridge Rd. in the neighborhood. Fire wood can be purchased from the nearby Diamond Hill Convenience Store or Food Lion for $8.99/bundle. Other things to note Pet Accommodations: No more than 2 dogs. Pets must be on the reservation at time of booking. An additional fee may apply for the second dog depending on size & breed. Also included is paper towels, a scrubby and dish detergent. There is a dishwasher for use in the home. We ask that all food and beverages that were brought leave the home with you. All trash needs to be taken out of the home to the Bays Boys trash cans at the top of the drive way and secured in the two trash bins. There will be an extra cleaning fee of $100 if the home requires additional time to clean due to excessive dirt and mess. Thank you for respecting the home. The home is on a well water, although there is a water reserve you must conserve water when the home is at full occupancy. Although we love pets, we will NOT be allowing pets on the property at this time. There will be a $200 fee for not following this house rule. The land is heavily landscaped, but there is plenty of space for lounging and a future beach is coming in time for the summertime. Also to note there is a very steep grade driveway that leads to the home. Please drive slow and cautiously down the driveway. Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes are allowed outside, but not in the home. There will be a $500 fee if there is evidence of smoking in the home. The hot tub is serviced between guest stays which includes checking pH levels. Please do not add any soaps or bath bombs or any other unauthorized chemicals. There will be a $200 fee if the hot tub needs additional cleaning from such items. If you have a concern about the hot tub water please notify the host immediately so the hot tub can be serviced.
