A common room includes a queen size daybed, another beautiful mountain mural, and a sectional sofa (note this room is not fully closed off - one door opening has a curtain which leads to the kitchenette). Kitchenette includes a coffee machine with coffee pods and non-dairy creamer (sorry, no sugar or fresh cream), a small microwave, dishes, utensils, a refrigerator, full size washer and dryer (guests must bring their own detergent and dryer sheets). Other things to note • No pets allowed. There is no thermostat in the basement apartment, the temperature is controlled by the upstairs home. We are happy to adjust the temperature via the central HVAC if helpful. If it becomes cool, there is a space heater available. If it becomes too warm, there are ceiling fans in each room, and an additional floor fan stored in the kitchen. About one guest every few months mentions the temperature being uncomfortable, and we've always been happy to adjust the thermostat to meet their needs. • You may hear us moving around our home upstairs. We never forget about our guests and try to minimize our noise and maximize your comfort. We hope guests can respect our home and we require quiet hours from 10:00pm til morning when our children are sleeping. This listing is for the base-level unit: plenty of space for 1, 2, or a family. Elegantly furnished with amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Enjoy all the private outdoor space and you might encounter a few deer and wild turkeys. The space This is the base-level unit of a 2-story house. The two levels are fairly separated. We or another guest live upstairs at times. For the bottom unit, a private entrance leads you into the entry room with plenty of daylight and beautiful decor. Relax and read on the day bed, which turns into 2 twin beds for ample sleeping space. Step into the spacious living room to enjoy a 55" smart TV on the comfortable sofa bed. A kitchenette is equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and a 3-in-1 cook station that will enable you to whip up quick meals. Enter the 3rd room and you'll find a king bed with 10 Inch gel memory foam mattress for a great night's sleep, as well as a workspace for focused time. In the summer time, enjoy the beautiful outdoor landscape Chattanooga has to offer, listen to the birds chirp in this private sanctuary and watch the squirrels climb the thousands of tall trees on this private land. On cold days, cozy up next to the remote-controlled fireplace, read a book or watch a show. Guest access You will have access to the bottom unit of the house with a private entrance, as well as the outdoor space in front of the unit entrance. Parking is in a designated area outside. Up to 2 vehicles can be accommodated. Kitchen features open shelving with a toaster, coffee-maker, kettle and an island with sink, dishwasher and bar seating for four. Plenty of pots, pans and utensils can be found in the drawers and cabinets. The full W/D is also located in the kitchen.
