They include 2 trash bags, 2 dishwasher pods, a paper towel roll, a small liquid dish soap bottle, a toilet paper, a small bottle of shampoo, body lotion, body wash, conditioner and a soap bar for each bathroom, towels, and bed linens. They are designed so that you are all set when you arrive but not to last the entire trip. • Our close proximity to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park means there is lots of wildlife in our area - black bears, deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, coyotes, fox, and more! Black bears visit the cabin often in Spring, Summer and Fall. You may get lucky and catch a glimpse of one of these residents while enjoying the view from the deck. We also contract regular monthly pest services which treat for all pests from multiple types of bugs, mice, etc. Despite our regular treatments, given the proximity of the cabin to the park, it is possible these pests can temporarily enter the cabin. We immediately respond and treat if anything comes up and have found it is rare to come across anything like this. Guest access Guests will have full access to the cabin! This is a private rental with no shared spaces other than the community pool. Other things to note We are in unprecedented times. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to create stress and uncertainty for guests across the country. We are taking extra precautions to ensure guest safety: •	All hard & soft surfaces cleaned with Micro-Ban™ including: counters, vanities, sinks, floors, stair rails, cabinets, doors, furniture, beds, pillows, carpets, comforters, etc. throughout cabin. •	Lysol™ is used thoroughly on all compatible surfaces to clean and disinfect •	Bleach-based cleaners used in all bathrooms and kitchens, that allow use of chlorine products. •	Linens (bedding, towels, etc) – removed & washed offsite in temperatures exceeding those recommended for laundry operations, then packaged until the housekeeping staff are ready to put them out for guests. •	Hot Tub -- Drained, cleaned, fresh Bromine added and refilled after every guest •	Cabin inspected regularly after cleaning and inspectors perform additional applications of protective products in the cabin, such as MicroBan and Lysol. •	Cleaning staff received additional education on disinfection protocols and are furnished with protective gloves, changing them for fresh pairs as needed during cleaning & disinfection of the home. • 2 Pets allowed with a fee. This is a private rental cabin with no shared spaces other than the community pools. Two entry doors have keyless access. As stated above, all guests must be able to walk up stairs. Chalet Village is in the mountains, so please expect to drive on a few narrow and steep roads getting here. The cabin features paved roads all the way up, and cars are generally fine without inclement weather, however we generally recommend 4-wheel drive for anywhere in The Great Smoky Mountains. In wintry conditions, 4-wheel drive is necessary. Parking is in our private driveway. There is space for 5-6 vehicles, tandem style (vehicles parked last in need to move for vehicles at the front of the parking area to exit). Other things to note Wildlife in Chalet Village is abundant. Bears are very prevalent in this area, which is so close to the National Park. You will most likely see black bears on the property while staying at Chalet Zermatt. Please follow the recommended safety precautions: • always lock the chalet • do not ever approach or feed bears • do not leave food or trash of any kind outdoors at any time • always lock your cars, and have windows rolled up; the bears can and will open doors including your car door if unlocked (if you do not want a bear inside your vehicle, please be diligent about locking it AT ALL TIMES) • do not leave any food or beverage items in your car • you must put trash bags in bear-proof trash bin at the end of the driveway • stay aware of your surroundings outdoors We provide towels and linens. For your convenience we supply a limited starter kit of toilet paper, bar soap, paper towel roll, trash bags, and dishwasher detergent. This is so you are all set when you first arrive, but the supply won’t last the entire trip. We do not provide toiletries. We don't supply firewood. Due to the agreement with our cleaning service, we are not able to offer late check-outs. Guests who are not out of the chalet by check-out time will incur a non-negotiable $100 per half-hour late checkout fee. Nature-related elements are inevitable like weather and wildlife. Occasionally power or WiFi goes out if there is a storm/fallen trees, etc. As mentioned, you are very likely to see bears on the property and possibly other wildlife. We are on a monthly program to prevent insects. However as this is a cabin in the woods/mountains, it’s not possible to keep 100% of insects out all of the time. Keep doors/windows closed and locked to prevent insects/ wildlife from getting in. We do not offer refunds for cancellations due to weather and/or weather-related conditions. We recommend all guests purchase their own travel insurance. Per our listing, Chalet Village is in the mountains; 4-wheel drive is needed in wintry conditions. Travel at your own risk. We usually stop by Walmart before coming up the mountain. ★BEDROOMS★ You will have ample space for your family or group to spread out as there are 5 bedrooms. The first 2 bedrooms upstairs each have a Queen sized bed. The Master bedroom not only has its own walk out balcony but also a Makeup Vanity / Desk area and room for a pack n play or small inflatable mattress if needed. The next 2 bedrooms are located in the middle level and both have a Full sized bed. These 2 rooms are a bit cozy but still perfect for couples! And last the bottom level connected to the Game room is the Trundle bed with a twin on top and twin on bottom perfect for the kids or 2 adults needing their own space. This bedroom is located with the game room on its own bottom floor and with its own bathroom but doesn’t have a door separating it from the game room. From this bottom floor you can step out onto the bottom porch that leads to the hot tub and a seating area with the grill. The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. ★BATHROOMS★ Each level of the cabin has its own full sized bathroom. The top and middle levels have a shower/tub combo while the bottom level has a walk in shower. The bathrooms are stocked with fresh towels, hand soap, and toilet paper. Please remember to bring other toiletries and enough extra supplies for your stay! ★KITCHEN/DINING ROOM★ The fully stocked kitchen has everything you’ll need for making meals for the whole group, including stainless steel appliances, a toaster, can opener, and all the basic kitchen essentials like pots, pans, plates, cups, and utensils. There’s lots of counter space with seating available for 3 at the kitchen countertop. The dining room table also has room for 6. ★GAME ROOM★ Located on the lower floor you'll find the game room with a Foosball Table & Ping Pong Table & an Arcade Game System (Mortal Combat). It's connected to the 5th bedroom, has its own bathroom, and also has a door going out to the lower deck where the Hot tub is available and a seating area with the charcoal grill. ★OUTSIDE SPACE★ You will love the ability to walk out on the decks each morning with your cup of coffee. The cabin is situated in the woods but the beautiful mountains are still visible just beyond the trees especially in the fall and winter months. Sit in one of the many rocking chairs to relax each day, enjoy cooking up lunch or dinner on the charcoal grill (make sure to bring your own charcoal), and eating out on the picnic table. The Hot tub is located right off the lower deck. Watch as the Ober Gatlinburg Tram rides right over the cabin! Located in the Chalet Village Resort community of Gatlinburg, TN. The community pools open in the summer *Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day* and you are welcome to spend the day cooling off and enjoying a swim with the kids! Brand New Pickle Ball courts were just installed at the North Clubhouse. We also have tennis courts, game rooms, and a gym available at the club houses. You’ll have full access with our guest passes we provide for FREE. Exploring the area is an easy quick drive whether you want to spend time downtown walking the strip or in the beautiful national forest! Pro Tip: Drive to Ober Gatlinburg (a short 2 minute drive) park and take tram down to the strip if you'd like to skip traffic! ;) Travel Insurance is highly recommended in the months of December, January, and February as ice and snow are not uncommon. We also recommend a vehicle with 4 wheel drive during these months and to stay weather alert as to what conditions you'll be driving into when coming in. You'll need to make arrangements if you're bringing or traveling in one to park it elsewhere. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: - Accessibility to the home requires a decent climb up & down several stairs. See the photos for more details. Please consider before booking. - There are a lot of Black Bears in the Smokies. You may encounter them on the property and is very normal in the area. -We share a driveway with another cabin. There is room for about 3 cars in our portion or the driveway and another car can fit on the portion connecting to the neighbors. There is no room for RVs/Campers to park. Please plan accordingly for the parking. -The cabin is located in a very wooded area and therefore will have leaves on the decks. This is normal for a cabin in the woods and should be expected. *The hot tub can take up to 6-12 hours to heat up. So depending on what time the property was cleaned, your hot tub may not be hot upon arrival and need time to reach the appropriate temps. ☀ Smoking inside or on the decks is NOT permitted. ☀ Drugs of any kind are NOT permitted. ☀ Pets are allowed at this property (limit 2) but must be disclosed and pet fee must be paid at time of booking. ☀ No 3rd party bookings. The person booking the reservation MUST be staying at the cabin. We do not allow you to book for someone else to stay. Breaking this rule will be cause for immediate cancellation. ☀All garbage MUST be stowed in the outdoor metal garbage bin so bears and other animals can not access it and make a mess. While we have a pest control company that services our cabin, there still will be the opportunity for pests to be on the property as this is a wooded area. OUTDOOR GRILLS (3). We have one gas grill on the main level deck. It uses a safety timer. If you find the propane tank to become empty, we keep a spare tank on the deck as well. But please let us know so we can get a new full spare tank on hand! We also have two charcoal park-style grills at the front of the home near the firepit. Please bring any charcoal you may need. TVs: We have 4K Smart TVs throughout the home, which have Roku for easy access to your favorite shows (BYO passwords for any apps such as Hulu, Netflix, Prime, etc). We do not have cable/satellite. Bedding: we have a variety of plush/firmness in our beds and pillows, so you can select the setup that suits you best. Kid Friendly Items: We supply a pack n play, high chair, children’s plates and cups, baby gate, and some children’s board games and card games. Ample Parking: Ample parking in front of house, as well as a second driveway on the side! Depending on vehicle size, 4-6 cars can be parked here. Amazing Hospitality: We aim to provide an amazing stay for every guest! If you have any questions or issues during your stay, you will message with me directly, not a property management company. Holiday Decor: we decorate the home with a Christmas tree, four stockings and a garland on the mantle above the fireplace, and other holiday decor. Additional supplies beyond this are the responsibility of the guest. Mountain wildlife notes: Gatlinburg and the Smokies are in bear country! You may encounter bears or other wildlife here. We have helpful tips and info to keep you safe so that you can enjoy the wonderful wildlife of the Smokies. In the Smokies, ladybugs are seasonal in the area. We have taken every possible measure to keep them out, but some still make it inside. They are harmless and can be swept or vacuumed up with supplied hand vacuum, if desired. Mountain driving notes: As with any house with amazing mountain views, you will drive on mountain roads to get up to the house. Some mountain roads are winding and don’t have a shoulder, but the road is paved and safe. You can drive as slowly as you need to! I’m from a flat prairie area in the midwest and I am comfortable driving these roads. If you are nervous about mountain driving, please reach out, I am happy to chat! Check-in. You will receive a personalized door code prior to your arrival, which will be valid for your rental dates. We generally cannot offer an early checkin, as our cleaner needs that time to prepare the home. However, we will always let you know if the home is ready early! Checkout. No late checkouts. Our cleaner needs time to prepare the home for the next guest. If the guest does not vacate the property by 10AM ET on their scheduled day of departure, late fees will be applied. NO SMOKING OR VAPING. If any evidence of smoking is found, additional charges and platform penalties will apply. If smoking outside, please properly dispose of any waste. NO PETS. NO LARGE PARTIES. Max of 14 guests allowed on the property, at all times. Primary Booking Guest must be 25 years of age or older and must be present at the home for the entire duration of the stay. All guests must comply with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as the House Rules, which strictly prohibit parties, excessive noise, underage drinking, and any illegal activity. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in immediate termination of the reservation without refund, in accordance with Airbnb policy. For security, the home is equipped with outdoor video surveillance The cancellation policy, as described by AirBNB, is in effect upon booking and does not allow refunds or changes to the reservation due to weather. However, if there is an official mandatory evacuation ordered, we will refund the reservation for any affected nights. We recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance which offers coverage for cancellation due to illness, weather, or other events that could impact your trip. The master bedroom is located on the upper level a few steps away from the kitchen and features a king bed, ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi, and walk-in closet. A 55” flat screen TV along with a Roku player provides pleasurable entertainment. Access to the upper deck will distract you to venture out to take in the views and peaceful surroundings. Across the upper level is the Cub Pack Room consisting of a canopy twin bed with a trundle tucked underneath. The special feature and main attraction for the little cubs is the loft above where all of the cubs can gather to play and enjoy their own little hideaway. A twin air mattress is located in the large closet if there is another cub that doesn’t want to miss out spending time with the rest of the pack. A flat screen TV and DVD player sits in the corner to keep these cubs entertained along with some toys and books. A few steps away from the Cub Pack Room is the Wildlife Room filled with hints of the outdoors. A queen bed, generous closet, mirror, and a TV with Roku is tucked away in the armoire. Similar to the master bedroom, this room has access to the upper deck to appreciate the tranquil views. Beware of the deer peeking out of the wall who is also savoring the views out the upper deck. On the lower level is the Cub Room outfitted with a comfortable king bed, 40” flat screen Roku TV, and luggage rack. Nestled in the nook of this room is a crib perfect for any family that may be travelling with their bundle of joy who can claim their own safe place. The Bunk Room is another spacious room located on the lower level towards the front of the cabin. It has a queen bed along with a queen bunk bed and a 32” TV with a DVD player. Don’t be startled by the toy cub relaxing on the rocker. He promises not to bite. 	BATHROOMS The cabin has 3 full bathrooms – one on the lower level and two on the upper level. Each bathroom provides the necessary elements including soap, shampoo, and cotton essentials. The master bedroom ensuite bathroom has a dual vanity, shower, and jacuzzi with spa style setting. Both of the remaining bathrooms feature a tub and shower. 	KITCHENS + LIVING ROOM + BAR The upper level has amazing vaulted ceilings with an open concept highlighted with a wall of windows exposing the beautiful views. Create a wonderful dish in the fully stocked kitchen featuring an island with countertop bar seating and ample space for everyone. Bath towels and linens are provided. The upstairs window shades can be tricky to open. These do not have a string to pull. Instead you hold them from the bottom center portion, slightly pull away from the window, and lift up to the desired height. It can go all the way to the top if you wish. Again, you need to pull them slightly away from the window (towards you) to prevent hitting the glass window decorations. Outdoor games such as corn hole and ladder toss are located in the outdoor storage bin. You will find the storage bin at the backyard below the rear upper deck. Please enjoy these items.
