The real treat is outside. A large wraparound screened porch with areas for dining and relaxing. Two huge decks offer a stunning view down onto the Shenandoah River and up at the Blue Ridge Mountains. So many ways to enjoy the water… Float in your own private pool. Walk down the steps to the river bank. Use one of our kayaks to paddle up the river a 100 yard and see historic Meems Bottom covered Bridge from a different angle. Bring your fishing gear and try to catch a smallmouth bass. With 4 bedrooms and a couch that converts to a queen bed in the second living room there is space for the whole family. All the beds are new foam mattresses and new quality pillows and linens. The main level boasts an updated kitchen with all the appliances and amenities to cook your favorite meals. Including a gas range and dishwasher, crock pot and pots and pans, and a coffee maker. The dining room’s large table is perfect for memorable family dinners. Open the doors to the sunroom for even more seating, a great spot to have breakfast on a cool morning. The main living room is a cozy spot. Modern furnishings and antique wall sconces make a great place to chat or watch the 55in TV. Look out the windows to the screened porch and mountains beyond. On the other side of the house is the second living room and half bath. A great spot for a movie. Both TVs are smart TVs with all the apps for you to log in to. The L shaped couch transforms into a Queen bed for additional sleeping space. The other 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms are upstairs. The main staircase takes you to 3 bedrooms and the newly renovated bathroom. The walk in shower has floor to ceiling tile, with two sides glass. You can look out the window and see the mountains as you stand under the rainfall showerhead. The second staircase leads to the second full bathroom, a second entrance to the master and a forth bedroom. The second full bathroom also hosts the washer and dryer. Guest access Front door has a keypad for easy access during your stay. No need to deal with keys. Your personal entry code will be sent to you prior to your stay, as well as other check-in instructions. Ample parking is available in front of the house. Check in time is 4 pm, checkout time is 10 AM. The pool will close at the end of October and once the average temperature is high enough, will open, usually in May. End your day around the fire pit, complete with Adirondack chairs for cozy evenings under the stars. Other things to note Earl's Place is located in the heart of the Shenandoah Caverns property. A caverns tour is within walking distance as well as the seasonal attraction American Celebration on Parade, which is open everyday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Caverns Cafe is also on site if you are looking to grab a quick lunch. Earl’s Place is only 25 minutes from Bryce Resort, where you can ski in the winter, or do some downhill mountain biking and golfing in the spring, fall or summer. Massanutten Resorts and Skyline Drive are only 45 minutes away. We are within a 5 to 20 minute drive from a number of Shenandoah Valley breweries like Swover Creek Farms and Woodstock Brewhouse, or wineries like Third Hill Winery, Cave Ridge, Wolf Gap, and Muse Vineyards. You'll enjoy 1.38 acres of lush greenery and colorful blossoms, as well as nearby vineyards, majestic caverns, poignant Civil War battlefields, and quaint historical towns along scenic Route 11. No matter how you spend your time, you will feel right at home, relaxed and rejuvenated. The space This serene and chic historical farmhouse has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a large kitchen (the heart of the home), a well appointed livingroom (with a dedicated workspace), two covered porches, a reading corner (on the second floor), and a laundry room. (Note that the staircase between the first and second floor is steep.) Guest access You are welcome to use all spaces in the house, except for the basement, which is locked. The covered porch that connects to the kitchen is also available for use, though it's in the process of being updated. Enjoy! Our apartment is located on Main Street in the Town of Mt Jackson in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Close to historic towns, Civil War battlefields, wineries, breweries, distilleries & hiking trails. Access to Shenandoah National Park/Skyline Drive's Thornton Gap entry is 30 miles from the Mount Jackson apartment. Shenandoah Caverns is minutes away and Luray Caverns is less than 30 minutes away. Less than 30 minutes from JMU & EMU. Easy 4 minutes access to Interstate I-81. The space This 600 SF apartment is set up with a separate entry, one bedroom, full bath with stand up shower. Living area offers sectional sofa, 58 inch Samsung Smart TV and WiFi (no cable) that plays Netflix and other apps, stocked kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, electric range and sink. Dining table, desk and desk chair. Full size washer and dryer. This property is located on Main Street there will be street sounds during the day. The bedroom is located in the back of the building and is very quiet. Guest access Free off-street parking on premises. Access to a full-size washer and drying at the end of the hallway. Other things to note Pets welcome case by case, $50 per dog, no more than 2 smaller dogs. All dogs MUST be on an active flea and tick preventative. Please curb your dog.
