The space Welcome! This pet-friendly three bedroom and two full bath lakefront home is beautifully situated on the west side of Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, New York – the heart of the Finger Lakes region. Private, yet close by to all the area has to offer: Just 10 minutes from Downtown Ithaca, the Ithaca Farmers Market, Cayuga Waterfront Trail, restaurants, shops, and museums. Cornell and Ithaca College are a quick 10-12 minute drive as well. Stunning Taughannock Falls State Park is just six miles north on Taughannock Boulevard. Hike, swim, and view the 215 foot tall namesake waterfall. In addition, Buttermilk Falls State Park, Robert H. Treman State Park, and Allen H. Treman State Marina are all very close by. The 7+ mile Black Diamond Recreation Trail runs from two miles south of the house all the way along Taughannock Boulevard up to Taughannock Falls State Park. Enjoy a walk, run, or bike ride on this graded, crushed stone recreational pathway (dogs welcome). To access the trail, drive 1 mile north on Taughannock Boulevard and turn left on Glenwood Heights Road. There is free parking for the trail 100 yards ahead. The Finger Lakes is home to over 130 wineries as well as a growing number of breweries, and distilleries. The lake house is a great jumping off point to explore as it sits right along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail and is less than 3 miles to the closest winery. As you wander the wine trails, take time to enjoy beautiful views, local cheeses, Amish markets, and more. (Please drink responsibly.) While the local area has much to see and do, make sure to take time to relax and enjoy the lake house. You and your guests will have the entire home to yourselves. With three bedrooms and other sleeping areas, the house can easily accommodate 8 people overnight. Enjoy the home's lakefront location and watch the sunrise over the Cayuga Lake while you enjoy your morning coffee on one of two large decks overlooking the private boat dock and 100 feet of shoreline. After your coffee, wander down the steps to the lakefront and enjoy the chairs on the dock. Go for a swim, take out the kayaks and or canoes, or simply admire the beautiful view. Enjoy your day by the water or exploring the local area. After a swim in the lake, your furry friend can run and play at the Ithaca Dog Park located less than two miles south of the house near the marina. At dinner time try one of the many local Ithaca restaurants, or cook up a meal in the well appointed kitchen or on the gas grill located on the main level deck. There are multiple options to dine inside or out. The house is two levels with the king master bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen, living room and dining area on the main floor. Downstairs you will find two more queen bedrooms, a second full bathroom, second living room/dining area, and a kitchenette. There is additional sleeping space on the futon in the master bedroom, and in the two living rooms on pull out couches. The two levels of the home are a perfect set up for visiting with extended family or friends, allowing you to be close together but with individual privacy as well. The house has the amenities you need to enjoy your visit including city water, high speed wifi, AC, an equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, gas grill, TVs in both living rooms, games, and much more. For the nature enthusiast, watch local wildlife from the deck and dock. Binoculars and a spotting scope are available to use while visiting. Some of the wild friends that have visited the property include mink, red fox, chipmunks, deer, squirrel, and MANY different species of birds. The main level deck provides you a great view of the tree tops to watch the birds who visit the property. Watch and listen for Bald Eagles, Baltimore Orioles, Osprey, American Goldfinches, American Redstarts, Red-eyed and Warbling Vireos, Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds, Phoebes, Tree and Barn Swallows, Great Horned and Barred Owls, and many species of warblers. Dockside you may get close up views of Great Blue Heron, Hooded and Common Mergansers, Mallard, Black, Red Head, Ring-Neck, and Canvas Back ducks, Canada Geese, Snow Geese and so many other aquatic birds. If you are a birding enthusiast, don't miss a trip to the world renowned Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Sapsucker Woods. Don't forget the fisherman in your group. Cayuga lake and the local rivers are known for their fishing. Cayuga Lake has salmon, rainbow, lake and brown trout, large and smallmouth bass, northern pike, and more. The house overlooks Cayuga lake and there are about 50 steps down to the lakefront from the house (but there is a beautiful view of the lake from the two decks!)

Clean, quiet, well-maintained , modern, comfortable house directly on Cayuga Lake but only minutes from downtown Ithaca, Finger Lakes wineries, Cornell, Ithaca College and gorge hikes. Our house has spectacular lake views, a modern floor plan and beautiful construction and details. New gas fireplace added in 2025. Pet Friendly, Kayaks, Canoe provided. There is an easy path with stairs from the lower parking to the house. See pictures of the steps to the lake. The space Reasons to rent this house: 1) Its directly on Cayuga Lake with amazing views from the new beautiful. deck and dock, near wineries, and also only 5 minutes from downtown Ithaca restaurants and shopping, and less than 15 min. from the colleges. 2) There is a series of steps to the lake but unless it is winter, you can drive relatively close to the front door. Note: In winter, parking is by the main road, not the house. Winter tenants will likely have to walk 52 steps from the upper parking but we have a brand new well built staircase (see pictures). 3) The house itself is beautiful. Sliding glass doors from the livingroom showcase the lake and deck. The living room also features stunning wood floors and stone fireplace. There are 2.5 bathrooms, all with beautiful glass tiles in the showers. 4) Two kayaks on the property, a canoe, and a private dock. Life jackets are provided. 5) The house is big enough for two families to share. We have 3 bedrooms and a bonus room (with sleeper sofa), plus a sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress in the living room. 6) House is professionally cleaned between tenants. 7) For young children we have a pack-n-play, a high chair, a baby bath, and a variety of books, toys, and games. 8) The house is powered by contract with solar engery. Who Can Rent: It is a quiet area and is not appropriate for loud/late night parties. The house has direct access to The Nature Center and The Black Diamond Trail for hiking and biking which leads directly to Taughannock Falls State Park or to the Waterfront Trail at the base of Cayuga Lake in Ithaca. The space The Black Diamond House is completely private with space enough for up to 7 people. There are three private bedrooms and an open living room for sleep space. We provide clean linens. Bedroom 1 (Master): Queen bed with attached bathroom (sleeps 2) Bedroom 2: Queen bed and a single bed (sleeps 3 total) Bedroom 3: Queen bed (sleeps 2) The bathroom connected to the master bedroom includes a shower and the second bathroom off the kitchen includes a shower/tub. We provide the essentials: bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, soaps, shampoo/conditioner, hairdryers. You have access to a full kitchen with all the cookware and utensils necessary to make a home-cooked meal. There is a dining room table in the living room off the kitchen. There are a washer and dryer with detergent, iron and ironing board. There is free WiFi and we offer live cable TV and streaming services. This beautiful home is located 2 miles from downtown Ithaca, yet situated lakeside on the west shore of Cayuga Lake. Beautiful, 3 bedroom home (with small owner apt below), located in the town of Ithaca with 3 full baths, accommodating 6 guests comfortably. Accessible to Ithaca's finest restaurants, Cornell University (7 min) & Ithaca College (10 min), wineries & all the Finger Lakes have to offer. The space Beautiful and rustic 3 bedroom + 3 bathroom home (with small owners apt below), located in the town of Ithaca with 3 full baths, accommodating 6 guests comfortably. The property is situated on Cayuga Lake and offers gorgeous views from almost every room, especially the Master Bedroom. There are several decks from which to enjoy outdoor entertaining. A fully equipped gourmet kitchen and two grills (gas/charcoal) are provided, an old cast iron stove as a fire pit on one deck, along with a bonfire pit on the lawn. The house is fully winterized and has a large wood burning fireplace in the Living Room. There is 120 ft of beachfront and a large dock to enjoy the lake. It is approx 6’ deep off end of dock and swimming is fine, but with occasional lake weed. Located 2 miles from downtown Ithaca and 4 miles from Cornell. Very convenient for shopping, restaurants and the Hangar Theater. Parking is conveniently located via a pull off by the road with space for around 3 cars. There is also a shared driveway with space for one car that allows guests to skip some steps down to the home! Once parked, there is a short flight of steps (from the driveway) to the home. A self check-in keypad is used for convenience. Through the front door, guests are greeted by a small mudroom hallway that opens into a true chefs kitchen. From spices to pans, knives, and prep bowls, this kitchen truly has it all. A gas stove top, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, double sink, and large pantries are great for preparing full meals or just reheating leftovers. Off of the kitchen are french doors, which open to a deck with a natural gas grill and lake views. To the right of the kitchen, you'll find a large dining room with a six seat dining table. There are also three lounging areas, perfect for morning coffee, a nightcap, catching up with friends/family, or just enjoying the peace and quiet. The dining room also has french doors that open to the same deck for easy serving. Across from the dining area is a laundry room and the first full bathroom. This includes a vanity, toilet, and standing shower. Continuing further down the hall, there is a staircase downstairs, where guests will find a living room complete with massage chair, pool table, game table, and bar area. This space also has doors that open to a lower deck with outdoor furniture for eating and lounging. Across from this staircase upstairs will be the first bedroom. This room includes a queen bed, dresser, closet, and attached full bath with a full size tub, vanity, and toilet. A bit more down the hall is the primary bedroom with a queen bed, closet, and beautiful lake views. Dual skylights provide great natural light as well. Attached to this is a large bathroom with shower/tub, vanity, toilet, and dresser. There is also a small patio through a sliding door off the bathroom. At the end of the hallway is the last bedroom, featuring another queen bed, dresser, and closet. There is also a small private deck off of this room through a sliding door. Outside, this property is a true gem. With some of the largest lake front in the area, there is ample yard space for games or just relaxation. A second grill for lakeside bites, kayaks, a peddleboat, hammock, and large dock are some features of the space. There is a small caretakers apartment below that, if occupied, will only be by the owner and his small quiet dog. You’ll barely know he’s there, and will not share the dock while rented. Guest access Guests have access to all areas of the home aside from a small owners apartment. This apartment has a separate entrance and shares no space with guests. All outdoor areas are also not shared. Other things to note There is room for 3-4 cars via off street parking, and on street parking available on a first come, first serve basis.

All cooking essentials, oils, herbs, etc., and paper goods are included in your stay. A 1/2 bath is off the kitchen. The dining room is set for six, but a leaf can be added to accommodate 8. The family room has a large L-shape couch that seats 8 with ease, as well as a 65 inch flat screen TCV and JBL speaker that can be used in any room of the house. All bedrooms are upstairs. The master suite has a sink area outside the actual bathroom, to accommodate the option of two sinks with a walk in tiled shower. The other two bedrooms have queen beds, with one room having a 55 inch flat screen TV. The Workspace has a MCM flair to it and we it can easily accommodate our queen size mattress if you have more than 6 people. There is a shared bathroom with a shower for the queen bedrooms. The outside has a front porch with seating and a back deck with seating, a gas grill and a big yard to enjoy. Next to the house is small walking bath that gives access to a quick walk to shops. Once inside, you are greeted with a airy and architectural entryway. On your left is a full kitchen outfitted with everything needed for a night in. Straight ahead is an open dining room and living room. This is outfitted with a lovely stone fireplace and breathtaking views of the lake. To the right of the living room is a workspace/small library with lake views to enjoy while you work. Just off of the office you'll find a built in sauna to steam off after a night out or to warm up in the winter! Continuing on, a full bathroom is ahead of the office and connected to a TV room that can double as a 4th bedroom with a pull out couch for an extra queen bed. Patio doors are off of the living room, connecting it to the ultimate lakefront space. Outside you'll find a deck with a hot tub, small dining table, and ping pong table, all connected to the dock and beach. Outside we also have a firepit, and kayaks and paddle boards with a launch cove. Upstairs features three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a second living room/game room, and a laundry space. The main bedroom includes a queen bed with an attached bath and private patio. Further down, a second bedroom has a queen bed with a loft. Two twin beds are located in the loft, perfect for kids! Please note that these are in a shared room. A third, full bathroom is connected to this bedroom as well. A twin bed is found in the third bedroom. All bedrooms have independent heating and cooling, along with views! The lake house comfortably sleeps 7 but can accommodate 9 with the TV living room sofa bed converting to a queen. Please note that there is an extra fee for more than 7 guests. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home and dock. Other things to note PARKING: There is no on-site parking or garage. There is limited street parking on the southbound shoulder of East Shore Drive/Rt. 34 close to the house. This parking is parallel to the road on the shoulder (there are three spaces perpendicular to the road that are private parking and should not be used). Please note that this public parking is shared with residents and other guests, so your care and courtesy is important. Ideally, please park one and no more than two vehicles in this location. Should parking not be available, there are limited spaces across the street from the house and further north also on the southbound road shoulder. Please also note that East Shore Drive is a busy road, so you should take precaution when parking and exiting your vehicle. ACCESS TO THE HOUSE FROM THE STREET PARKING: The lake house is accessed from the road via a set of stairs just north of a small white shack (930 E Shore Dr.). We do not own the stairs but instead have a deeded right to use them. The stairs might be a challenge to navigate for some guests, so please take this into consideration before booking. From the stairs, there’s a short path directly to the house that crosses railroad tracks. This is an active freight rail line, though trains come through only once or twice a day (if that) and slowly, with warning.

The space The main level has several gathering spaces including a sunroom, living room , front room reading area , snack bar seating area as well as a dining room. A full bath , desk area as well as a spacious kitchen complete the downstairs space. The upstairs includes an architecturally designed King bed master suite with cathedral ceilings and views of Myers Park ( the local waterfront park) and two additional bedrooms with pine ceilings. There is second full bathroom, including a jacuzzi, on the upstairs level with access from the master bedroom or the hallway with sliding doors for privacy. The queen futon, located in the sunroom can accommodate two more people for sleeping as can the queen platform sofa bed located in the front sitting room. Steps away you will discover a fishing creek, a waterfront park with a supervised swimming area, an excellent playground, a basketball court, lighthouse and kayak rentals as well as the Salt Point loop walking trail which winds along the shore of Cayuga lake and provides breathtaking sunset views. Salt Point Brewing company is a 4 minute drive away and there are several local restaurants close by. The largest mall in Ithaca is approximately a 10 minute drive. If you prefer a quiet scenic drive through the country side, I would recommend visiting one of the many wineries in the east side of the lake or heading to the quaint town of Aurora for a casual dinner at Fargo’s or a special dinner at the Aurora Inn. Downtown Ithaca is approximately a 15 minute drive and both Cornell and Ithaca College are close by. On rare occasions, late afternoon, you may hear the gentle whistle of a train, as it slowly chugs along the east side of the lake making its way from the salt mine, located a couple of miles away, to a switching station north of Salt Point. The space General Details - Built in 2017, this custom home is all electric, zero energy, and LEED for Homes Platinum certified. An Empire Pass is available to use during your stay and will give you free parking at any of the state parks! Other things to note Internet - Unfortunately, there isn't high-speed internet infrastructure available on our street yet, BUT the house has wifi internet via a Verizon Hotspot (plugged-in upstairs room to the left). The hotspot works well, but the start-up can be slow, especially if you are streaming a movie. Internet is important and we are on the lookout for better connection options in the future. Water - The house is on a well and we do need to be mindful of water consumption. We just ask you dont take multiple showers back to back. 2 max, then please spread them out just a little bit. We are located near Finger Lakes Wineries, Cornell University, Ithaca College, Taughannock Falls, Buttermilk Falls, Ithaca Farmer's Market and the Commons. Launch your boat from nearby Treman Marina. The space Beautiful three bedroom single family home located in the Town of Ithaca with amazing lake views. We are only 1.5 miles from downtown Ithaca, but it is a world apart. Private lot with deck, dock, gas BBQ, lakeside fire pit, kayaks, canoes and life jackets. The kitchen has sliding glass doors with easy access to our lakeside exterior dining table. Hardwood floors, granite countertops, pendant lights, gas stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal, side by side fridge, eat-in table with seating for six. Amazing views from almost every room, including 8 windows in the living room, 3 in the master bedroom, 3 windows and a three paneled sliding glass door in the kitchen and a 6 bay window and large picture windows in the downstairs bedroom. Kitchen cooking items (pots, pans, dishes), sheets and sheets included. The house is on municipal water (not lake water) so you do not need to bring drinking water. The west shore of Cayuga lake is steep and so is our property. The driveway is steep with upper and lower parking. There are 28 stairs from upper parking and 35 steps from lower parking to the house. From the house there are stairs to the lake (35) but the view is spectacular and the local ideal. Please look at the pictures for full understanding of the steps required to reach the house from the upper and lower parking areas and to get to the waterfront. Our house uses eco-friendly electricity powered by Solar Farms New York. Bedrooms: Master w/ fantastic views of Cornell and King Bed. Bay Window Room with Fantastic views of the lake and Queen Bed. Indoors, there is a large modern kitchen, with granite countertops, induction cooktop, dishwasher, wine fridge, and all the pots and pans and cooking utensils one would need to make a gourmet meal. The dining room has seating for 8, with additional seating on barstools at the kitchen island and a second table in the living room with seating for 4. The living room has a fireplace and a smart TV, and upstairs there is a family room with couches and a smart TV. The master bedroom is on the first floor and has a king size bed and ensuite bath, and has a lovely forest view. The stacked washer and dryer are also in the master suite. There is a second king size bed in the first bedroom upstairs, which also features an incredible view of the lake. The middle bedroom has two bunkbeds (4 single size beds), and the back bedroom has a full size bed (and another smart TV). Guest access The dock, a good sized grassy area by the water, and many lake toys (kayaks, inner tubes, paddle boat, etc.) are all available. The garage with 240V EV hook-up can be arranged. Basketball hoop on blacktop driveway. Other things to note There is a $30 pet fee. The driveway for the home is shared by two other houses down below (past our house), so make sure to never park in the driveway. There is a security camera above the parking area. It records all motion and sound that happen in front of the garage and in the parking area next to the basketball hoop. This is for our and your security. The camera does not face the house and does not record anything east of the parking area. However, the camera does allow us to monitor all of the traffic that comes into and out of the house. Please note: there are no additional visitors allowed on the property without prior approval. No parties. The main floor of the house is mostly accessible, but there are steps down to the living room and up to the garage. You must be able bodied to access the lake, as it requires a walk down a steep driveway and then down a stairway with about 50 steps.

The lawn slopes right down to the water's edge. This is the only property at Lansing Harbor available year-round. Beyond the living room is the large deck and then the lake! There is a half-bath downstairs. To shower you must go upstairs. The house is level with the lake. There are no flights of stairs outside to access the water. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, including the laundry room with washer and dryer located off the kitchen. Guests have access to the deck, dock, and lake front area. Guests are welcome to use our paddle board, and kayaks. We have paddles and life vests. The life vests are located in the storage area off the downstairs bathroom. Other things to note There is a smart TV with Netflix and Roku but we do not have cable. There are AC units in each of the 3 upstairs bedrooms. There is no AC in the downstairs/main level of the house. Also, there are no blinds in the master bedroom (bedroom 1 with the king bed). This room will become bright in the morning as the sun rises. Though we do not allow pets, during the summer my own dog is in the house. The house is always professionally cleaned before any guests arrive, though if you have severe dog allergies, please be aware of this.

First floor flat in historic Italianate home. Renovated with love. Gorgeous kitchen, sunroom, free parking, garden. Very central, near restaurants, shops and parks. 1,900 sq. ft. Contact host re 4th bedroom (has own separate entrance; is separable from rest of apt). It is almost always available. The sunroom has a grand piano, waiting to be played. The open kitchen has marble countertops, a brick chimney and a six-burner stove. We left you wine, beer and chocolate. Enjoy! The space Note: The 1st and 2nd bedrooms — one of them with a king-sized cherry-wood bed, beautifully stained and hand-made a Finger Lakes Amish community — each have full, en suite bathrooms. For those sleeping in the 3rd bedroom, however, the path to a bathroom is through one of the other bedrooms. The sunroom with grand piano can be used as a bedroom (featuring one whole glass-window wall that looks over the garden) — with two points to know about: its use as a bedroom involve using the queen-sized air-mattress that you’ll find stored in one of the other bedroom closets, and this room, too, like the 3rd bedroom, is one wherein the guest will need to go through either of the other bedrooms to reach either of the two full bathrooms. The open layout of the whole first floor extends across new, natural wood. floors of two different beautiful hues. It’s not a showy place but has nice touches and details all around. The bedrooms aren’t very small but aren’t very large either. The sunroom is humble and plain, but its back wall is all glass window, overlooking a little cracked patio and a garden with an unusually private feel to it, for downtown Ithaca. That room is also graced by the Kawai grand piano I bought and played in Jakarta, before shipping it to New York where it moved around between my Granny’s apartment and two midtown studios, before finally coming to rest here. It’s come a long way. Contact host to determine whether the 4th bedroom (with its own separate entrance and separable from the whole apt) is available: it almost always is.

We offer a sparkling clean environment...Take Care. The space Our home is located just outside of Ithaca, NY, eight miles from Cornell University. It is a contemporary home built in 2011 with an open floor plan. It is clean, bright, and cheery, filled with natural light in the front and the back. There are three bedrooms, a loft, two full baths, an open living room, dining room, and kitchen. Feel free to enjoy the house, which sleeps seven; however, we could put up a cot or supply an extra mattress to accommodate one more. Air Conditioning runs throughout the home, making it comfortable year-round. Our home is on a cozy lot. It is wooded in the back with a running creek. Looking out the front of the house, there is a beautiful vista of trees and fields. We also have wonderful neighbors. Enjoy the entire house except for the basement unit, which the owners sometimes occupy. There is a nice restaurant, Rogue's Harbor, as well as a pizza shop, sub shop, post office, hair salon, and gift shop within a couple of miles. The Ithaca airport is 12 minutes away. Cornell University is 15 minutes and the Commons area is 17 minutes. Living/ Dining: The main living space and dining areas are open, but divided by a central fireplace (non-functional). Equipped with an a/c unit, table and chairs, and seating area. The TV/ couch/ sitting area includes a built in seat that provides a great spot to sit and read, or watch TV. Kitchen: The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, stove, oven, dishes, plenty of cookware, and a drip coffee pot. Dish detergent, kitchen cloths, paper towels and basic spices are provided. Bedrooms: The largest bedroom has a queen bed, bedside table/lamps and 2 large closets. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a dresser, lamp and closet. Each bedroom is provided with a small fan. A very small room has a twin bed, desk, and bedside table. No door is present, but a curtain provides privacy. All bed linens are provided. Bathrooms: The bathroom is an unusual configuration. I call it a bathroom and half because: One room is equipped with a toilet and sink. The other has a shower and a sink. *Please note that there is one toilet in the house. The space Featuring panoramic views on a loft perched high above Cayuga Lake w/access to a private dock, a fully stocked kitchen, & bright living spaces. There's a patio with a hammock for naps after a long travel or to observe the plethora of animals that live in our gardens and trees. Make sure to bring a camera with you! Although the loft faces the sunrise (which is magnificent to watch if you're an early bird), the sky during sunset paints lush salmon colors w/speckles of gold & brushstroked clouds. The owner of the property lives in the unit above the one you'll be staying at. She is a retired former NASA employee, an alumni of Cornell with a degree in Engineering, a certified Transcendental Meditation teacher, tends to her gardens on the property, and takes morning 'strolls' on her vintage rowing boat on the lake. For bookings with 4+night stays, you may book a week-long Transcendental Meditation session where right above your unit, you can learn to meditate; a highly recommended practice by many successful people. Other things to note When making a reservation for The Lakehouse, it is our goal to provide more than just a bed to sleep on, but a place to live while you're away from home. The Lakehouse is stocked with amenities which includes: Bedrooms: Fresh linens and pillowcases washed prior to every guests' arrival. Kitchen: Tea and coffee to jump start your day. Drip coffee maker, dry cream, sugar and a whistling kettle. Pots, pans and cooking utensils for those that like to stay in and cook. Dinnerware and utensils. Bathrooms: Freshly washed towels provided for each guest prior to arrival. Toothpaste, cotton swabs and hand soap. The Dock and Outdoor Activities: 2 Kayaks, a standing paddle board and life jackets. Please respect our neighbors and do not go past (or allow pets to go past) the no trespassing signs on either side of the beach.
