Please note that cooking seafood indoors is not allowed, but fear not—there's a BBQ at your disposal, just remember to clean up after use. This cabin represents those back woods eclectic, and rustic cabins, so if you're expecting a more modern environment, this may not be for you. This is a well loved and lived in atmosphere, and it is decorated with a lot of antiques and things of old. Although this cabin has all the modern conveniences, it's meant to make you feel like you could be in an Alaskan cabin and be off grid, hence the record player and the wood-burning wood stove.

The real treat is behind the home where you'll find a mosaic deck, relaxing hot tub, and a highly coveted barrel sauna nestled among the cedars. The space This home is a brand new, 2021, construction. It features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with about 1600 square feet of indoor living space and a lovely outdoor living space. It has an open concept living space with a lovely, bright kitchen with marble countertops, a breakfast bar, a full sized refrigerator, an electric stove, and a dishwasher. It is well stocked with more than enough dishes, cookware, herbs and spices, a blender, a crockpot and utensils. The dining room seats 8 and we stock everything for a lovely communal meal such as placemats, table runners, cloth napkins and matching dinnerware. The living room boasts a leather couch, smart tv with Apple tv device, and pellet stove for those windy coastal nights. Upstairs, you'll find an office space in the loft and a huge primary suite. It boasts a king sized bed, electric fireplace, and full bathroom with stand up tiled shower and water closet. There is a slider out to our 2nd story yoga deck (or just a lovely outdoor space to enjoy the morning light). The other two bedrooms are on the main level. One queen bedroom, with a slider to the back deck, and a bunk room with 4 single beds comfortable enough for adults. The main level bathroom is spacious, includes a bathtub and a closet for the washer and dryer set. We are stocked up with adult games, adult books, kids books, a few kids toys, and beach gear. Our internet is faster than our service in Portland! It's a really special, warm and modern house and the real treat is behind the home! A stunning mosaic deck, gas grill, hot tub, barrel sauna, dining table (that also seats 8) and a lounge area await. Visit our sanctuary with your feminine friends for a spa weekend. Hunker down here on a stormy coastal evening reading a book with your love. Bring your fishing buddies and load up on salmon and crab. Stay with family friends and explore the coastline with the kids. Other things to note The house does not have air conditioning. It's very rare on Oregon coast to have a/c because it rarely gets above 70 degrees. Our home has a great room (living/dining). The house sleeps up to 10 (6 on beds and 2 on sofas, 2 on pullout). Games & business center. The space The kitchen is set up nicely with a kitchen aid mixer, espresso maker, pottery barn dishes, Kuerig, and a full coffee bar. Hot Tub is available but restricted to use only by guests aged 18+. Guest access Use of the entire home. Inquire with the host for hot tub availability and fees. Other things to note An additional cleaning fee may be required if excessive trash is left in the house or yard. Crab must be cooked outside and kept in a guest cooler. Smoking is permitted only on the back deck. Pets are allowed for a $40 fee per pet, and additional parking is available if you wish. If guests show up with an undisclosed pet, expect to be billed once here. We ask that pets be safely kenneled if left alone in the home. 2-car parking unless arranged otherwise with the host prior to arrival. The space This home has enough beds to comfortably sleep 9 and features 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, spacious living spaces and a large sun deck. The first floor hosts all three bedrooms, a queen bed in each and one with a single bed trundle, a full bathroom with tub, and a washer and dryer set. On the second level you’ll find an open floor plan with access to the large sun deck with wrap around (Please note that the sun deck is a deck/roof combo and graded for drainage purposes). This lovely home sits right on Lake Lytle nestled into the northwest corner and literally 12ft to the water's edge from the back deck. An easy three minute walk puts you on the beautiful Seven Mile Stretch of Rockaway Beach about a half mile from town. The space The views from this Cozy home are simply spectacular. It boasts a brand new remodel from end-to-end including a kitchen with a farmhouse sink made of marble set in Granite counters and custom Walnut cabinets. The cabin like feeling throughout the house comes from the Knotty Pine wood work throughout including doors, wainscotting, and the custom built handrail made of Lodgepole Pine. The downstairs includes king and queen bedrooms, one bath with tub shower stall including a stackable washer and dryer, kitchen dining room and living room. Has a wood stove for those winter days and nights, a smart TV and Wi-Fi. Upstairs includes the master with separate bath, a viewing window of the lake from the king size bed and a large loft for kicking back with a coffee or a drink and taking it all in. In the loft, a card table, four chairs and board games are also provided. A good spot for breaking out the laptop. Almost 900 square feet of new cedar decking and rail wraps around three sides of the home with plenty of seating and a picnic table to enjoy meals outside on. Then there's the hot tub sunk into the deck only 10 feet from the water's edge. A large fire pit with plenty of seating makes for a great evening on your private little sand beach. This beach allows for launching kayaks, canoes, small boats, etc and there is a public boat launch very close as well. Four kayaks are available for use year round, life jackets are provided. Enjoy bass and trout fishing, swimming, water skiing, kayaking and canoeing to your heart's content. The freshwater lake has a canal that leads into another small lake to the north, Crescent Lake, before heading to the ocean. Speaking of the ocean, it's less than a 3-minute walk to a short sandy trail that puts you right on the beach. Approximately a 3-mile hike north to the beautiful Nehalem Bay or a 5-mile hike south to Tillamook Bay. The ocean here and these two bays provide easily some of the best fishing in the state for salmon, steelhead, halibut, ling cod, and many other bottom fish. Also , it is home to some of the best dungeness crabbing available. On those minus tides, razor clamming is typically very good when it is open and is only about a 40 minute drive north from here. The hike out to Cape falcon and down to Short Sands Beach makes for an awesome afternoon and there are many other hiking trails in the area as well. Information on the best restaurants, clubs, schedule for the steam engine train ride and railriders along with other places of interest will be provided at the home when you arrive. The owner is happy to provide you with some of the best guides for salmon and steelhead trips and even bottom fishing in the ocean. He'll also give you any tips he knows on fishing and crabbing and may even give away a secret or two. Enjoy your stay. Guest access All the space inside and out here at the Blue Canoe is accessible for our guests. Other things to note Like most of Rockaway, the traffic noise from Highway 101 can be a little annoying at times, mainly from the outside. As you can see from our reviews, a small price to pay for the location literally right on the lake and across the street from the beach. High quality silicone ear plugs are provided , two pairs in each bedroom just in case, they are rarely used. Also, we supply "Turkish towels" which are fairly thin but very absorbent. Most people prefer them but not all so you may want to bring towels if you prefer terry cloth.

The fridge makes ice balls for cocktail hour and the oven can airfry your dinner while you prep it on quartz countertops. There’s a dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, keurig, toaster oven, blender, small cuisinart, hand mixer and waffle iron. The Yellow bathroom has dual sinks and the Blue bath features the original sparkle countertop, blue sink and a washlet. The original front door provides a peep into the stairwell down to the basement which is a multi use area. There is a King bed tucked into an alcove and a Twin over small Full futon couch. A 6 person table awaits games and puzzles that are stored in the long bar cabinet, which is another work area. Get your gamble on with the fold out poker table and chips. A large sectional, Vizio TV with firestick, a vintage Xbox 360 with old school games and Rock Band provide a place for the kids to hang out and rock out (a nice division while the parents are upstairs with a cocktail!) Or if you are 4 couples traveling together, the basement serves as an extra large bedroom. In the garage you’ll have access to 2 wagons and some beach toys for the littles you can take to the beach. A wiggle car, yard games, lots of balls, tennis, pickleball and badminton rackets, kites and baseball mitts/bats. The space Spacious 1400+ sqft home with an open single level floor plan that is great for gathering all together. The home also has large yard with plenty of parking in front and along the south side (off road parking is uncommon for a lot of homes in this area). The back is grass that is fenced except where you come up on the deck and has a fire pit in the middle for those night time smores. Nearby activities include fishing, crabbing, claming, hiking, whale watching (seasonal), tide pools, and much more. Sorry no pets due to our children's allergies. The cozy ~1000sq ft 3 bed, 2 bath pet-friendly house is set up with utmost care to provide a warm and comfortable stay. Please note the low clearance carport (6ft 7in height) and follow parking restrictions on the front driveway. The space No smoking or marijuana use on the property, please. Seas the day is a cozy home, just a few steps from the sandy beach, with a beautiful view of the ocean and twin rocks. Pets: 1 small to medium size dog is welcome. Please keep the pet off the bed. We will charge extra if we find pet marks on bedding. Please use sofa covers if allowing them on the sofa. Parking: Drive through the shared driveway and park in the carport or backyard. Please respect the no parking signs on the shared driveway. Carport clearance is only 6ft 7in. Noise: The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad is about 50 feet from the house. When tourist trains shuttle between Garibaldi and Rockaway Beach, during the day, you will notice it in the house. Kids might find this an experience! Living room: An open-concept living room adjoins the dining area and kitchen. The large picture windows allow plenty of natural light with gorgeous sunset views. The room also has a leather sofa, a love seat, and a recliner. The sofa is a queen pull-out that can sleep 2 additional guests. Sleeping: The master bedroom has a beautiful view of the twin rocks. It has a comfortable king bed with a memory foam mattress (Novafoam). This room has a TV. The attached full bath has a regular-size shower and is stocked with towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and hairdryer. 2nd bedroom has a memory foam queen bed and a TV. 3rd bedroom has a custom-built, lower full upper twin, bunk bed with an 8" memory foam mattress. This room does not have a TV. 2nd bath has a walk-in shower and is also stocked with towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer. Dining: The compact dining table seats 6, with 2 additional counter seating right next to it. Kitchen: A stocked kitchen with necessities for preparing a wonderful home-cooked meal during your stay. An espresso machine, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, toaster, blender, Instapot, and kettle with some complementary coffee beans, tea, and condiments are just a few items in the kitchen. Deck: The deck provides more hangout space with access to the crow's nest that offers a gorgeous view of the beach. Please note the access to the crow's nest is steep (like a ladder). It is your responsibility to watch your kids around this area. There is a gas grill on the deck. Internet & Entertainment: Internet is through Spectrum. The package is rated at 400Mbps download and 20Mbps upload. Wifi is through Netgear Nighthawk wireless router. All TVs are set up for Netflix and Youtube TV for several over-the-air, cable channels. We have also stocked the house with a few beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas for your use. Security Camera: There are 3 live-streaming security cameras installed. Two in front of the house & 1 in the carport. 4th camera in the deck & indoor security system, though wired, are currently disabled. In our experience, little ones love watching for it whenever we're in downtown Rockaway. It's a popular attraction for the surrounding area.
