The Poconos House is a small cozy two bedroom + loft, 1 bathroom chalet style house in the Poconos Mountains inside Arrowhead Lake Community. Rustic and quaint, yet with modern touches, The House is cool during the summer and cozy during the winter, and a great base for Poconos exploration. We renovated the interior and are excited to share our home! Please be respectful of our happy place that we worked hard on. There are tons of games, books and puzzles to keep everyone entertained but also close to a lot of activities in the community. While the house is renovated, it is still a a cabin without modern luxuries like a dishwasher and air conditioning. We personally love the light coming in the windows and since the house is positioned in a cul de sac, it feels private and quiet. We have designed the house for our family, but have added thoughtful details for for all guests to enjoy. Located in Arrowhead Lake, PA, our private community provides access to many amenities such as three swimming pools (summer only), lakes, fishing, tennis courts, a communal lodge including a gym, library and a rec room, bicycle/boat/paddleboard rentals (summer only), a sledding hill and lots more. Inside the community, located on a quiet dirt road cul de sac, our house is a great place for exploring by foot or by bicycle, and a quick drive to Jack Frost's (12 miles) golf courses and skiing, Pennsylvania gamelands, flea markets, outlet malls, Kalahari water park (20 min), and restaurants. Nearby Camelback Mountain and the Delaware Water Gap provide for the more adventurous. We wanted a place where we could 'unplug' from city life, but 'plug in' when we need to. As parents, "kid-friendly" was part of our design. For winter, we have a propane heater, but there are additional plug in heaters in every room for your use. The fireplace is a wood burning stove. Instructions say to use kindling. The woods are full of kindling (small twigs) or please bring newspaper with you. GARBAGE-There is a garbage and recycle center at the front gate right before you exit. We ask guest to drop off trash before leaving. There will be someone there to help you with the trash. Please DO NOT put any trash outside as friendly animals are in the area. TV-There is no tv. We do not use a Tv while there, so we did not include it in our house. There is WiFi, so you can watch iPad/computer that way. The WiFi is strong and has no issues. SCREENED IN PORCH-This is currently undergoing renovation on the back portion interior, but you are welcome to enjoy the front section with a couch and chairs for porch hangs. OUTDOOR GRILL-there is an outdoor gas grill. We ask that you clean it off before you leave. DRIVEWAY-the driveway is steep. If the weather is bad in the winter, it will be hard to get up. You are welcome to park at the bottom of the driveway. Early check In/Late check Out-we have arranged cleaning schedules with our caretakers. If an early check in or late check out is requested, we would need to request this with our team at least 48hrs in advance to see if they accommodate. The entrance is on the second floor, requiring walking up several steps to enter the property. The view from the entrance on the second story gives our guests a bird's eye view of the road and surrounding property. There is a front deck, great for star and wildlife gazing and a back deck for grilling and access to the fire pit. The living room area has a flat-screen TV, a lot of couch and seating area, a dining room table, a full kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave, silverware, pots, and pans. HEATING: Fireplace, smart controlled baseboards in addition to remote controlled AC / Heat units installed in bedrooms and living room. Extra plug-in heaters are provided as well if needed. COOLING: WE HAVE A/C. That's right. Most of the Pocono houses do not have a cooling system installed, but our house has multiple remote controlled AC units (in both bedrooms and living room). The space This cozy cottage is great for couples, groups of friends, or a family. The home can comfortably host 4 people. The home is located on one floor with an open layout and lots of sunlight. Wood burning fireplace and a TV with cable and lightning-fast wifi. There is a butcher bar/dining area. The home has a new marble bathroom with a stand-up shower. We have two bedrooms and a cute outdoor patio (not fully gated) with a fire pit. The closest lake is about a 3 block walk, there is a playground and beach with boats to rent. You are able to drive to any of the 2 lakes, Pools (seasonal) or amenities with the QR Code received after registration and prior to check in. The driveway can fit up to 3 cars, no street parking is allowed in the community. Please note the community's speed limit is 25 m/h at most areas. Security enforces reckless driving with violation tickets which are your responsibility to pay prior to checking out. Other things to note Our home is located on a corner of Orono Drive, has a half moon driveway that can fit up approximately 3 cars and it is located on a main road of a separate entrance of the community. When first checking in with the office, and picking up your gate card, it is faster to drive outside the community and to the Orono Gate entrance, though you are still able to drive through the community and around Arrowhead Lake to enjoy the scenery.

The space The house has a fully equipped open kitchen with pots and pans and utensils, including a microwave for all those quick goodies you may want to cook and a refrigerator. The living room has a smart TV (Netflix, Amazon, Youtube and access to xfinity streaming tv) We have high speed internet with wireless access for our guests. Outside we have a gas BBQ grill and 2 fire pits (please feel free to bring wood) we also have a propane fire pit we supply the propane for. We provide: Bath towels, soap, linens, pillows and blankets, tennis rackets, badminton racquets, multiple board games as well as a Corn Hole game. Great getaway, very clean & well kept, home sits on a wooded private lot only a 5 minute walk to heated pool! Located in Arrowhead lake, an amenity filled community All the peace & tranquility one could ask for. Please read entire listing. The space Quite lot and nicely landscaped. Bbq on the deck or enjoy a fire in the pit. But whatever you do... Have a great time! Guest access Enjoy the entire home, owner closets are locked. Please do not enter the crawl space or storage shed in yard. All household garbage is to be taken to the recycling bins behind the welcome center. Other things to note Arrowhead Lake is a gated community. All vehicles must be registered to gain access to the house. Vehicle registration fee is $15 per vehicle, transaction fee of $20 (if made 5 or more days prior to arrival) and a mandatory $8 per day per person for children 12 and older (during summer weeks) amenities fee, which allows access to all Arrowhead Lake amenities, and an optional $5 per day during the rest of the year for use of the fitness center and play rooms. All amenity payments are made directly to the Welcome Center. Once your reservation is confirmed, I will email you a direct link to the Arrowhead Lake community welcome center.
