Other things to note ARRIVAL / EARLY ARRIVAL The scheduled arrival time is 3:00 p.m. on the initial day of your reservation. A potential earlier check-in might be accommodated, based on availability and subject to an early check-in fee DEPARTURE / LATE DEPARTURE The check-out time is 11:00 a.m. on the last day of your reservation. We reserve the right to charge late fees for departures after 11:00 a.m. A later departure may be allowed subject to availability and check out fee. Late check out fee is at $50/hour. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE This includes but is not limited to tobacco, marijuana, e-cigarettes, vape pens, and hookahs. We operate marijuana and tobacco sensors in order to help enforce this rule. If smoking discovered inside, automatically charge of $300 will be applied. MINIMUM AGE The registered Guest must be 22 years of age or older, unless otherwise permitted by the host. NO NOISE / NO PARTIES The Guest may not disturb the quiet enjoyment surrounding neighbors. At all times, the Guest shall refrain from making loud noises and excessive television and/or radio volume that may disturb others. The Guest shall observe quiet hours from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Parties and large gatherings are prohibited. Noise sensors are operational. VISITORS Visitors must be accompanied by the Guest at all times, and no unauthorized overnight guests are allowed. The Guest is responsible and liable for the actions of all Visitors. CLEANING Guests should not leave the property in a state that requires excessive or deep cleaning. Cleaning fees set are only meant to cover the cost of standard cleaning between reservations. An extra cleaning charge could apply if the property is left in a condition of excessive dirtiness DAMAGE Guests are liable for any damage and/or theft at the property caused by the Guest, their Visitors during the Guest’s stay. This includes damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishings and equipment (such as towels, artwork, electronics, and kitchen equipment). Guests are expected to pay reasonable requests for reimbursement if they’re responsible for damage, missing items, or unexpected cleaning costs. LOST & FOUND POLICY We hold no responsibility for items that are lost, misplaced, stolen, or harmed, even those left behind at the property after your scheduled departure. In addition, upon final departure, the Renter must ensure that all food and beverages are removed from the rental property including cabinets, refrigerators and freezers. The stairs are available from May to Late October. During autumn/winter, our guests use the Long Beach Public entrance, which is a 30 second walk from our house! -Our house is part of the conservation land and part of the natural ecosystem. Please expect some sand, bugs or flies while outdoors and some may also sneak inside though open doors and windows. -Please read the house rules prior to booking. -We are fully licensed STR with our local township. Our STR License is STR-11-2025 -By request to booking this property all guests residing in the house agrees to adhere to Township's rental code of conduct. If the guests fails to adhere which results in fines to the owner, the renter will be responsible to reimburse the owner for any penalty and all losses incurred by the owner -To align with our city by-law we are required to maintain a guest register. Therefore, we need the the legal name, address and a contact number for all the occupants -The owner, who does not live close to the property, depends on the photos and videos given by the cleaning crews to assess the cleanliness of the property. If there are instances where specific items are not cleaned to guest's satisfaction or where cleaning deficiencies were undetectable for the owners to inspect through the visual inspection, we request the guests to notify the owner of any cleaning deficiencies within 1 hour of their allotted check-in time. Our cleaners will work with the guests to schedule a suitable time to drop in to address or rectify it. If the owner doesn't receive any reports of cleanliness issues within 1 hour, it will be assumed that the guest is satisfied with the cleanliness and the owner is not required to address any cleanliness issue for the guest. -Renters must dispose of all recycling and garbage at the dump or take it with them when they leave the cottage. -While young children are welcome, it is important to note that we cannot guarantee the safety of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or grade-schoolers. Therefore, they must always be supervised by their parents or caregivers. The stove, staircases, and cupboards are not childproof and could be hazardous. The deck, front yard, and backyard of the property are not fully fenced. The backyard faces a cliff overlooking the beach, so children should only be in the backyard under adult supervision. An adult should be present with all children when using the beach stairs and playing/swimming in the beach area. The owner is not responsible for any injuries that may occur on the property.

NOTE: while we do our absolute best to spray and vacuum spiders and webs, there are times when a spider can find its way in and create a web within minutes. Please do not assume spiders/webs = uncleanliness. It does not. Our home is by the lake, which means more spiders. If you are terrified of spiders, it might be best to vacation in a hotel. We love our guests, however, receiving a 2 or 3 rating on cleaning because of spiders or webs is unfair. They are a nuisance, not dirty. 😊
