The Hideout at Lookout Mountain, Wi-Fi, Dogs, Kids

Remarkable privacy and calm: our simple house is truely a getaway. This acreage is nearly untouched forest, where small paths lead down through plentiful mountain laurel, hardwoods and fantastical sandstone boulders that make Lookout Mountain a climbing destination. McLemore is 5 minutes away, and some of North GA and AL’s best state parks are short drive away. Deep on a rural drive and nestled against protected conservation property, the wildlife and stars easily outnumber the humans. The space Property is wooded and quiet, there are hiking trials down to some stone features, backwoods camping areas, and a seasonal waterfall. You’ll see deer, turkey, and occasionally the neighbor’s fluffy white Pyranese dog. He’s friendly but I can’t speak for the turkeys…. Guest access Trails: your adventures are are all below the house! The trail begins below the back deck, it will wind down and connect to shared trails at the large clearing. This clearing is the "hub" of the trails. On your left, the upper trail will take you above the cliffs and the lower trail leads to the cascade waterfall. Above the cliffs, don't go too far past the gravel pad, you'll be on the neighbor's land. The lower trail takes you below the cliff ends at the waterfall. Essentially, the creek is the property line on that side. (If you want to get a peek at Turtle Head Rock, step up on the rocks right at the cascade and look back above the cliff towards the house. Can you spot it? -During dry weather, the creek may not be flowing. From that same clearing, a wider track leads back uphill to the right, and is for guests at our tiny house. The upper driveway is shared with our tiny house rental up and over the hill on neighboring land, so you may see a car or two pull past at the top of the property. Please respect their privacy and keep your exploration downhill of the main house. Other things to note The neighborhood road is rural, so expect a few bumps and puddles, but cars and minivans have had no trouble reaching the property. There is good Verizon cell coverage around the house, not sure about other providers.

Welcome to our Hideaway Cabins! You will fall in love with these 2 rustic cabins that are perfect for family gatherings, reunions, and multiple family vacations! These beautiful cabins rest on a peaceful 5-acre property in Trenton, Georgia with mountain views. Enjoy the 2 fire pits, 2 hot tubs, 2 gas grills, jacuzzi tub inside and hammocks that come with this property! Just 5 minutes from Downtown Trenton and 30 minutes from Downtown Chattanooga! The space Cabin 1: “Hideaway Lodge” This Cabin is the larger of the two and boasts a gorgeous front porch with adirondack chairs and views surrounded by nature. Take advantage of the hammock, fire pit, and grill right outside! When entering the home, you walk into the open concept living room, kitchen, and dining area. This Cabin comfortably sleeps 6 guests and has a huge bathroom with a standing rain shower and a jacuzzi tub! There is one large bedroom downstairs with a King size bed and the second bedroom is the upstairs loft space with two Queen beds and a private balcony! Cabin 2: “Grady’s Hideaway” Just outside the first cabin is an expansive wrap around deck with a hot tub, hammock and plenty of outdoor seating for your group to enjoy. This lofted 1 bedroom cabin that comfortably sleeps 4 people and offers a King size bedroom and 1 full bathroom with a beautifully updated tiled shower. Head upstairs to the living quarters where you will find plenty of seating for 4 people and a twin trundle bed adjacent from the smart TV. One of our favorite things is the cozy book nook, a great place to unwind and relax with some quiet time. Both Cabins have fully stocked kitchens with everything you will need to make a meal during your stay: pots, pans, plate-ware, dish-ware, drink-ware, silverware, cooking utensils, etc. There are 2 smart TV’s in each cabin as well as high speed internet. There is no Cable TV - smart TVs allow for streaming movies and shows. Just 6 minutes from the adorable Downtown Trenton which offers several great restaurants and coffee shops. It’s only 10 minutes from Cloudland Canyon State Park and 30 minutes away from Downtown Chattanooga’s best attractions like Ruby Falls, Rock City, and the Tennessee Aquarium. Come stay at our Hideaway Cabins for an unforgettable family gathering! Guest access Guests will have access to the whole property and the 2 cabins on it. Other things to note Things you need to know: 1. Neither cabin is suitable for young kids due to the steep stairways to get up too the lofts . 2. Grills: Both cabins have gas grills on the property with propane provided. 3. Dogs: Both homes are dog friendly! Max number of dogs allowed is 2 per cabin. 4. This property is located on a hillside beneath White Oak Gap Road therefore you may hear a little road noise through the tree during your stay. 5. There is NO dishwasher in the larger cabin, only a very small one in the smaller cabin. There is a full sized washer and dryer in the Cabin 1 (Hideaway) but there is not washer and dryer in Cabin 2 (Grady's). 6. There are security cameras on both cabins on the exterior facing the driveway. HOT TUBS: Please advise!! Hot tub maintenance is very important and it’s some thing that we take very seriously in between guest reservations. If the hot tub has to be dumped for sanitary and health safety reasons on a turnover day when the property is booked back to back, it may take 8-12 hours for it to reach high temps. We do the best we can to be proactive with this but ultimately it is out of our control to make the hot tub heat up faster. Health and safety for our guests is very important to us. Weather and Outages! Please note: There will be no refunds in the unlikely circumstance that there is a power outage during your stay or if the weather is not cooperating. We do not have any control over the weather or outages caused by nature! We highly suggest you purchase travel insurance to be preventative in case something happens and you need to cancel.
