Welcome to beautiful Constance Bay, a little piece of paradise only 20 minutes from Kanata, and 45 minutes to downtown Ottawa. This magical, beautifully renovated 3 bed, 1 bath, 1100 sqft cottage is on the Ottawa River, with a sandy waterfront with gradual entry, perfect for both young and old. The space The cottage has been fully renovated top to bottom, with no expense spared. There are new huge windows overlooking the Sandy Beach and water with Gatineau Hills in the backdrop. Quartz countertops in the open-concept kitchen (open to both dining and living room) with brand new (March 2023) side-by-side fridge and freezer, large bathroom with separate toilet area, beautiful furniture, and luxurious beds. The list goes on and on. This is not your typical cottage; this is more like a beautiful Pinterest home with a fabulous waterfront. There are three bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed and dresser OR closet. There is one large bathroom with a five foot walk-in shower, two sink faucets, makeup vanity table, separate toilet area, and plenty of storage. All linens are provided (up to 6 guests) to make your vacation as easy as possible. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you should need. Everything is updated including a brand new stainless steel side-by-side fridge and freezer, stove, microwave and different types of coffee-makers. The water is drinkable in this cottage as we have a softener and UV light for added measures. The main area of the cottage is completely open concept to allow you to interact with your guests from anywhere. The master bedroom and dining room each have a patio door leading you out onto the large deck and hot tub area. A porch swing sits on a second deck so you can sit and enjoy the view of the water. A fire pit sits in the middle of the yard, so you can sit out all night and enjoy the fresh breeze off the bay. But the main attraction is the scenic sandy beach of Constance Bay. Spend your day on your piece of the shoreline or just sit back in the hot tub and enjoy the view. For added convenience, there is a bar and restaurant a stone-throw away, as well as an LCBO, beer store, convenience store, and pharmacy within a 3 minute drive. Please note: Constance Bay is an adorable little beach town, but there isn’t a grocery store right there so please plan accordingly. The closest real grocery store is about 20 minutes away in Kanata (Sobeys on March Road). There are 3 restaurants that do amazing pizza, chinese/thai, and/or breakfast and a general store, LCBO/beer store, pharmacy, and ice cream place. Some guests have seemed shocked that the cottage isn’t right in downtown Ottawa with every city amenity imaginable, so I like to forewarn people in case you aren't familiar with the beautiful little town that is Constance Bay. Furthermore, this is country wifi so runs about 10 mbps at maximum download speeds. If you are looking to download TV shows/music etc, it will be much slower than the high speed internet you would find in the city. We do also have Bell Satellite TV, but please note it can be affected by rain, ice storms etc. We do not have a landline phone but cell phone reception is pretty good (but not perfect). Welcome to your home away from home! **** We carry proper rental insurance**** Guest access All areas are yours, with the exception of one closet in the master bedroom which we keep locked (it contains supplies for the cleaners). There is also a small parking lot beside the cottage (we have a big fence between it and the property). The beach and parking lot get busy in the summer, especially weekends. The master bedroom is on the upper floor along with it's own bathroom that has a standing shower and a bathtub that faced a window with a view of the water. The bedroom also has a romeo and juliet balcony that you can walk out to. The upper level also has bathroom and laundry room. The kitchen, living area, and dining area are all in the same room on the middle floor with an open concept and high ceiling feel. The kitchen includes all stainless steel appliances, a smart microwave, a gas cooktop built onto the kitchen island, and a wall oven that's used and seen on Food Network's cooking shows. All countertops are granite, cooking essentials such as high quality stainless steel pots and pans are provided, a spice collection, and a Nespresso coffee machine with pods provided. The living room has a 65" flat screen smart 4K TV. A fireplace, large sectional couch, and 2 doors to walk out onto the screened porch room. The side screened porch room has a live edge wooden dining table for more seating so you can enjoy breakfast in the morning in there or if you want to stay away from mosquitoes in the Summer. The land is still 3 acres and you have access to the Ottawa river. The doors are still original with old locks and we have kept the original flooring and staircase. The bathrooms were renovated and there is a small studio that will eventually be accessible for additionnal bedding. Guest access The guest have access to the whole property. The electrical room and basement are reserved for the owner. For complete grocery stores you have to drive 25 minutes. The friendly neighbours dogs might come and visit you during your stay. One is a german sheppard named copper and the other is a bouvier-bernois named Gustave. We found important to add as a note since some guests might be affraid of dogs. The water from the faucet is drinkable (tested every year and always perfect). It will definetely taste different than city water and if your prefer, please bring you bottled water. There is a water cooler for 18L water bottle. One complimentary bottle will be on the cooler on your arrival. Swimming area : The cottage is located in a bay on the ottawa river. It is not a beach access and the water level is very hard to predict because of the various dam along the river. Sometimes there is only a feet of water beside dock and you will need to walk further into the bay to get the desired level. If you want to have the sandy beach swimming experience there are 2 beaches 20 minutes away from the cottage that will give you the perfect beach experience. Escape to Chalet Buckingham, a stunning four-season retreat nestled on 3 acres of Ottawa River waterfront. Located just 45 minutes from Ottawa and 5 minutes from the Quyon ferry, this serene getaway is easily accessible and offers a peaceful escape from the city. Enjoy small boats and water toys in summer, cook in the large outdoor kitchen with BBQ + pizza oven, and unwind in the sheltered 8-person hot tub available year-round. New pictures coming Fall 2026 ** The house was renovated in February 2025, and again in October 2025, and includes modern but comfortable finishes throughout. There are two sitting areas both including a gas fireplace and 65" smart TV. The kids can play in the walk-out basement while you enjoy some time upstairs. The cottage includes three full bathrooms, each with a large shower. The chef's kitchen includes a gas cooktop, electric oven, stainless steel pots, sharp knives, and all of the spices, utensils and small appliances you'll need to create your masterpiece. Guest access Guests have access to the entire two-storey 2800 sq ft cottage and the surrounding 3 acre property, including hundreds of feet of waterfront on the Ottawa river. There are two outdoor fire pits, each with ample firewood, kindling, and Adirondack chairs. The back lawn is nice and flat, and the front lawn slopes down toward the river. There's a large deck by the water that's connected to a floating dock. You can walk into the water on a gentle slope, or you can jump right in off the end of the dock. The bottom of the river near the dock is a mix of sand and mud, and is perfect for swimming. There are rocks and grasses further away from the dock on either side, but the swimming area is clear. The entrance to the property includes a large pond with a fountain and waterfall/stream, and a small sitting area with a gas fire pit. If the water is high enough, the pond freezes over in winter and becomes a skating rink. Ask us if you should bring your skates! Other things to note EV charger is a Tesla Universal Wall Connector, and supports both NACS (Tesla) and J1772 (most other vehicles) connectors. Early check-in and late check-out can be accommodated as long as no other guests are leaving or arriving the same day. The space The Bay Crib A bright, 525 sq feet, clean and cozy basement apartment with a private side entrance and backyard. Motion lights will light up the sidewalk for your safety. The whole left side of the house is your space. Enjoy an evening on the patio or sitting by the fire to relax and rewind. We supply the firewood and you will find kindling and fire starter in a container by the wood. There is a flight of 8 steps protected by a shelter to go down to The Crib. It has a well stocked kitchen, laundry facilities, electric heat and a wood stove to keep you warm on a colder fall or winter nights. This is a guest suite attached to the house in peaceful nature with wildlife, less than 30 minutes drive from Ottawa downtown. It has its own separate entrance to give guests full privacy. The living room has a mini kitchenette for light use. Two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The unit is only rented to one guest at a time; you will have the entire unit during your stay. Starlink was newly installed, and the internet is fast for remote telework! The space The guest unit is part of the house but secluded and has its own entrance. The no pet and no perfume policy makes it safe for guests with allergies. Two bedrooms: each has its own ensuite bathroom, a queen-sized bed in each with high-quality pillows and linens. Living-room is open and bright, it contains a kitchenette, a sofa bed, a small-sized fridge, a TV and a dining set. The kitchenette is only for light use of simple cooking. It is in one corner of the living room. It includes a microwave, dishwasher, sink, induction cooktop, toaster, coffee machine and a conventional oven. Coffee pods and cream are provided. Extra blankets and pillows, and towels are in the downstairs closet. Welcome to River Edge. Our studio suite is sparkling clean, elegant and ready for you. Enjoy up close, the peaceful view of the Ottawa river and the Gatineau hills. Just 40 minutes from downtown Ottawa, our neighbourhood is one of the best kept country-living secrets of the NCR. River Edge is best suited to guests who prefer tranquility, peace and restful quiet. The space River edge is a bright, open space with a fully equipped kitchen. We keep it sparkling clean and well maintained. Our property is right on the Ottawa River and features a large outdoor fire pit and private beach. The photos of the suite and property showcase our beautiful, quiet piece of paradise. Due to the freezing of the Ottawa River, we put the dock in the water late spring and take it out in the fall each year. We are just over 1 kilometre from the Port of Call Marina. Imagine docking at the marina and walking the country road to River Edge? Alternatively, anchor off our shore and dingy in to our private dock. We have a whole-home generator, so we are unaffected by any weather-related power outages. If you are a noisy night owl, we are probably not a good fit for you. River Edge is best suited to guests who seek a quiet, relaxing and peaceful retreat. Guest access The separate entrance suite is accessed from the river-facing side of the home and offers unobstructed views of the Ottawa River. In summer, bring your bikes and fishing rods. Tranquil Getaway on the Ottawa River

PLEASE MESSAGE US IF YOUR STAY IS LESS THAN 30 DAYS Tiny Cornu is the perfect place for couples to relax and enjoy nature. Located between the gatineau hills and the Ottawa river it is a skip and a hop away from the Luskville falls hiking trails. There is a water ramp 3 minutes away from the cottage if you want to put a boat or a Sea-Doo to the water. On a rainy day you can enjoy your favorite movie on Netflix, Dysney channel or learn a new trade on the masterclass channel. The space ***IMPORTANT NOTE*** This cottage does not have water access to the river it is only as waterview. The closest beach is in Norway Bay at 15 minutes from the cottage. The bed is on a mezzanine. There is a 4 feet cleareance on the mezzanine and you need to climb a ladder in order to access the bedroom. The mattress is brand new. Other things to note The toilet is a separett urine diverting toilet with a external fan vacuum that eliminates all odors. The friendly neighbours dogs might come and visit you (on the land or even the patio) during your stay. One is a german sheppard named copper and the other is a bouvier-bernois named Gustave. We found important to add as a note since some guests might be affraid of dogs. The water from the faucet is drinkable (tested every year and always perfect). Fitz Cottage is one of the original cottages built in the area. It has seen some extensive exterior renovations through the years but we have been careful to preserve some of the original indoor features from the generations past. Step back in time and enjoy an older cozy & rustic family cottage with some added modern amenities & some quirky old touches too! The waterfront deck overlooks the river & is a beautiful spot for watching wildlife play in & out of the water. At the end of the day you can also enjoy some incredible sunset views! The view from inside the cottage is also fantastic - even cold rainy days are beautiful, peaceful & relaxing here at Fitz Cottage. Enjoy the beautiful natural shoreline and river by exploring the area using the canoe and kayaks on location or bring your own watercraft and use the mooring anchor to secure your boat - there are many boat launches nearby. The shoreline is shallow and weedy with a very gradual entry. Water shoes are highly recommended to protect your feet as there are shells present. The canoe and kayaks can be taken out right from the waterfront. Many enjoy paddling out to the public floating dock to have a nice swim in the deeper water away from the weeds. You can also enjoy hiking, having a picnic & using the large, cleared beach area in the Provincial Park next door with our free day pass included for the length of your stay. (Day Use pass is a value of up to $21.00/day - Park open from May 8 - Oct. 25, 2026 ) Morris Island Conservation is a short 16 min. drive away and they also have great activities for the summer - hiking trails, boat rentals, and picnic area. Due to this reason - the outdoor fire pit may not be available during your stay. *The waterfront is a natural shoreline with weeds - it is not a cleared beach. We recommend wearing water shoes as there are shells present. There is a public floating dock available for swimming past the weeds - accessible using the canoe and kayaks. There is also a day-use pass for the Provincial Park down the road where there are beautiful trails, picnic areas, and a cleared beach for swimming. *Water Equipment is available to use at your own risk and at no extra cost but we do ask that guests sign an Equipment Loan Agreement before gaining access to the water equipment for our insurance. (Same waiver as used by local rental shops.) Water Equipment includes a canoe and 3 kayaks. (Seasonal - Available Approx. June to mid-Oct. - weather permitting) *Life jackets are required at all times when using water equipment. We have 4 adult life jackets (PFDs) available but please ensure to bring life jackets (PFDs) for any children guests who may be accompanying as their sizing must be fitted just right for their height and weight. Water shoes are required as sharp shells are present on the shore (shoes not included). *A mooring anchor is available for guests to use if wanting to secure their own personal watercraft during their stay. Our cottage is located just steps from the Ottawa River, in an enchanting setting. The cottage area has been improved. A quiet and peaceful place, near Gatineau Park, Old Aylmer, an organic farm, 22 minutes from Ottawa, and a few minutes from the bike path. Full closed bedroom and bed / sofa in the living room for a guest or child. Exceptional dock. Citq 305464 The space Our charming chalet is located on our property and our guests are right by the river. Dating from the 1940s and lovingly renovated, it offers breathtaking views of the river and nature. It is a restful place, where one can easily forget the time. Guest access The Chemin des oies a narrow street, so you have to drive very slowly (15 km / h). It is safer for the children of the neighborhood, the dogs and the turtles that circulate there. We have a gravel parking lot in front of the house where you can park without problem. Other things to note Do not hesitate to let us know if you are looking for activities to do, want recommendations of places to discover, or have forgotten something at home. We will do our best to help you! Wi-Fi Internet is available to you. The reception is maximum in the room. Two bikes are at your disposal and you can bring your sup, kayak or canoe and go on an adventure. We share 2 adults kayaks and a kid kayak with our guests. Simply text us if you want to use them and we will get the paddles out. A trail near the house allows you to go to Aylmer beach (1 main street - 7 mins by car) easily by bike and even to the grocery store and restaurant! At the end of the Terry Fox road that you descend to come to the chalet there is a pebble beach on the other side of the barriers. The waterfront must remain natural due to flooding. This helps reduce soil erosion. You can walk more than 200 meters in the river with your water shoes. Otherwise in Aylmer it is a sandy beach. The Ottawa River is the one where the water level varies the most quickly, being able to rise or fall by more than 1 meter (30 inches) in a few days. If the dock sometimes seems oddly installed, it's because there has been a change in the water level! We offer different options to prepare your coffee (traditional nespresso, coffee plunger, Italian coffee maker) but it is your responsibility to provide your coffee and condiments.
