On the first floor, there is a living room with a cozy reading nook that can also be used to sleep the night away, a dining area, kitchen, laundry room, half-bath, covered porch, and master bedroom (queen) with a master bath. Upstairs you’ll find a full bath with a tub/shower combo, a designated office space, and two bedrooms (one with a queen and the other with two double beds), each opening to its own private balcony. McConnelsville is known for its rich history, & is home to the famous Twin City Opera House, among many other interesting landmarks. The space The Farmhouse is completely furnished with full kitchen: stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cooking utensils and plenty of elbow room to spare. It also has two full baths, one on the main floor, and one one the second floor. There is a spacious dining room with its own sitting area and a solid wood table for six, suited for hours of good food, and conversation! The cabin sleeps 4 with one of the beds being a full size sleeper couch. Fully stocked kitchen for your use, and free unlimited fire wood. The space Welcome to Chipmunk Ridge! Our cabin sits on a little over 30 acres of woodlands in the outskirts of ODNR Recreational Lands. The cabin is a little over 800sqft ,so yes a tiny home but you will never feel crammed. It has everything you need for an awesome stay. We have a small but full kitchen where you will have access to just about all you need to cook a fantastic meal. It has a keurig coffee maker, toaster, along with a gas stove and oven. I'm kinda old school so no microwave. If cooking isn't your thing let me know and I can send you a menu and price list of what I'm cooking up that week to be delivered during your stay. The bedroom has a queen size memory foam mattress and is a comfy cozy as can be. The game room (aka sitting room) has and oversized chair with lamp so you can curl up with some of the books here. We also have a stock of games to play when you're not exploring the trails or meadow! Sorry we do not have a tv but we do have WiFi so if you'd like to watch a show you'll have to do so on your phone or tablet. The living area has two recliners and a pull out couch(full size) in case you'd like a couple of friends to stay with you. (Please be aware that we charge an additional fee of $35/ day for additional guests over 2 persons. Ex. The first two guests are included in the reservation fee but additional people will be $35/day per person. This includes children 2 years and older. ) please also be aware that the cabin is NOT child proofed. We have walking trails throughout the property and you can mountain bike on them as well! They are shorts loops but a great warmup to the technical riding at The Wilds! We also have awesome gravel riding through the countryside. The Wilds Safari Park is about 2miles from us and the animals never disappoint!! They have horseback riding, fishing, gem mining, butterfly trail, as well as the mountain bike trails I mentioned and they have zip lining right over the animals in the park! Blue Rock State Park is about 3miles down the road and you can swim and fish there. There is a camp store has the best hand scooped ice cream available Thursday through Sunday during their season. The closest town is Duncan Falls ( about 25 minutes) with a grocery store, gas stations, Dollar General, hardware store , Subway, Dairy Queen and a great little Mexican Place with killer margaritas! Zanesville is about 35 minutes and has everything a city could have. Guest access You will have access to the entire cabin and 30 acres of grounds. There are boundary markers on the end of our property. It backs up to the DNR recreational area where you can explore thousands of acres. You can hunt on DNR land with permits. Please no hunting on our property. Other things to note We have Leonidas and Penelope the cabin cats that stay with us while we are using the cabin. The space This is a large apartment (over 1,000 square feet) on the second floor overlooking the square, Opera House (where you can see $4 movies with $2 popcorn) and courthouse in the center of McConnelsville. It is decorated with military and antique items from the building. There are approximately 20 steps to the apartment from the street. Zanesville, Marietta and Athens are all about 45 minutes away. Jessie Owens State Park for fishing and hiking are just out of town. Guest access While here you will have access to the apartment area which is completely private space. The approximate size is 1,000 cubic feet. There is a separate bedroom, office , bathroom, kitchen and a large living room with a queen size fold out couch. Other things to note The apartment faces the square so the clock on the Courthouse rings each hour. This can be an irritation at night if you are not used to it.

Kitchen & Indoor Amenities: The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and longer stays. It includes a full-size oven and stove, refrigerator, microwave, standard drip coffee maker, toaster, cookware, dishes, glassware, and utensils. The bathroom is located on the main level and features a large walk-in shower. Heating and cooling are provided by a PTAC system in the great room, which allows for consistent, adjustable temperature control year-round. Additional comfort features include an electric fireplace, a bathroom wall heater, and ceiling fans to help maintain an even temperature in all seasons. Outdoor Space: The property begins more than a quarter mile from the nearest county road, offering a quiet and private setting away from traffic and noise. The front of the cabin overlooks an open field and features a covered porch with a wooden bench. The back of the cabin faces wooded surroundings and includes a spacious, partially covered deck with seating, designed for relaxation. Two fire pits are available for guest use, one located in the yard and one on the deck. A charcoal grill is also located on the deck. Charcoal is not provided, so guests should plan to bring their own if they wish to grill. Cabin Notes & Setting Expectations: Harmony Hideaway is a log-style, wood-clad cabin situated in a rural, wooded environment. At certain times of the year, particularly in the fall, small multicolored Asian lady beetles are common in the area. Despite regular sealing and professional interior and exterior pest treatments, a small number may occasionally find their way inside through tiny gaps that are difficult to fully eliminate in wood construction. These beetles are harmless and are typically already dead by the time they are noticed indoors. We take ongoing steps to minimize their presence, but this is a seasonal characteristic of staying in a cabin surrounded by nature. The loft is accessed by stairs and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Winter Access & Parking: Parking is located along a gravel easement that is generally easy to navigate most of the year and is scheduled to be refreshed in 2026. During periods of snow or ice, traction may be reduced, and there is a small possibility of getting stuck. Guests visiting during winter conditions are responsible for arriving in a suitable vehicle and being prepared to manage traction challenges independently. Road and weather conditions can change quickly in rural areas, and guests should plan accordingly. Guest access Private Access: Guests have full, private access to the cabin and the surrounding two acres of property throughout their stay. The space is entirely yours to enjoy, with no shared areas. Property Boundaries: While the setting is remote and wooded, guests are asked to remain within the property boundaries and not venture onto neighboring land. It is not in a secluded area (due to businesses nearby) however, you will not be disturbed!! You will find it fully furnished, & ready for a pleasant "home away from home"! There is currently a guest in the apartment below the house. However you will not be disturbed and their are no shared spaces outside! The space We give diligent attention to thoroughly clean & disinfect all surfaces for your safety & peace of mind. Route 60 Getaway is completely furnished with a full kitchen: Stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and cooking utensils. There is a spacious dining area complete with a table and chairs. It has 2 full baths, one on the main floor and one on the second floor. There are 5 bedrooms, three queen beds and two full beds. Bed linens and towels are provided. We have a large open living room great for relaxation and watching your favorite show. (No cable, but you can log into any of your streaming platforms) Wifi is available! A laundry room furnished with a dryer and washer. There is a large outdoor patio outside the front entrance complete with an outdoor kitchen, a gas grill (Gas provided), Large Big Green Egg (Charcoal provided), & refrigerator. There is plenty of space for outdoor dining enjoying hours of good food and conversation. Also a fire ring area where you can enjoy sitting around the fire. Firewood is provided.
